General

Safety information

• This product may only be installed by qualified personnel who have been appropriately

trained and who have the relevant authority. The installation personnel must be familiar with
the operating instructions. Power must be switched off before any work is undertaken on
the unit.

• The relevant safety and accident prevention regulations must be observed.

• This product is designed exclusively for control of electronic ballasts from OSRAM type

QUICKTRONIC INTELLIGENT DALI (QTi DALI...DIM) or HALOTRONIC INTELLIGENT DALI
(HTi DALI..DIM). Other usage may destroy this and other connected products.

• No other control components may be connected.

• Max. number of ballasts and max. wire length has to be observed.

• Connection to other voltage levels will destroy the device.

• The product has to be supplied by an AC voltage (no DC allowed). This has to be respected

especially when a UPS system is used.

ATTENTION!: The motion sensor element is connected to mains, a sufficient isolation

•

and protection against contact has to be guaranteed. The sensor cable and the PIR sensor
socket apply to low voltage installation regulations of 230V AC. If isolation parts or the
plastic cab of the motion sensor element is damaged, the device has to be put out of
operation.

The sensor is connected to a 3 wire cable which is admitted for mains voltage. Parallel connection of
several sensors is not allowed. The sensor is typically installed in luminaires, ceiling installation is
possible by use of a flush device box and an adequate cover.

When adding a sensor head to the sensor, please note the following:

• The entire workplace must lie within the monitoring cone of the sensor.

• The sensor must not be exposed to drafts (e.g. near air vents). A draft could be misinterpreted as

the presence of a person in the room.
