Description
Purpose and application
The OT EASY 32 CC LED control unit can be used to implement static and dynamic lighting concepts for RGB, RGB+W
and tunable white LED applications.
Installation
Safety instructions
The control unit must only be installed and put into operation
by a qualied electrician. The applicable safety regulations and
accident prevention regulations must be observed.
WARNING!
Exposed, live cables or damaged housing.
Danger of electric shock!
• Only work on the control unit when it is deenergised.
CAUTION!
Destruction of the control unit and other devices
through incorrect mounting!
• Ensure that the external pushbutton is designed
for the mains voltage.
• Do not wire the control and pushbutton lines
with an external voltage, especially not a mains
voltage of 120-240 V.
• Do not exceed the maximum number of connectable components.
• Only use the intended infrared receiver types.

Function and operation
The four pulse-width modulated (PWM) 350 mA constant
current channels can be individually controlled. See for the OT
EASY 60 II LED control unit instruction sheet for a complete
function and operation description (www.osram.com/ecg-lms).
OT EASY 32 CC is supported by the EASY Color Control
software, version 1.4 or higher. Software updates are available
at http://www.osram.com/ecg-software.

• Only use LED series circuits at every LED output.
• Only use LED modules/xtures with separated anodes and
cathodes.
• The maximum number of LEDs that can be connected in series to each output channel is limited by the forward voltage

of the individual LEDs, the control unit output voltage and
the cable voltage drop (e.g. Vf = 3,5 V à max. 6 LEDs). Details on the limitations can be found in the OPTOTRONIC®
technical instructions.
• A different number of LEDs per channel (not more than the
max. number each) is allowed. Automatic load detection is
performed at power-on.
• To be able to use the colour/colour temperature algorithm of
EASY Color Drive and EASY Hybrid Remote, channels and
LED types are assigned as follows:
Channel RGB+W WW / CW

CH3 Blue Cold white
CH4 White/amber Cold white
• In combination with other types of EASY control units,
4-channel tunable white congurations require to set one
OT EASY 32 CC as master.
• Master-slave connection: Max. 1 master and 15 slaves connectable, see “Connecting the inputs”.
Connecting the inputs
Connect the 4p4c modular connector (N) of the EASY signal
line.
Strip the power cable (M), remove the insulation from the
phase and neutral conductors and connect to the terminals.
Connect the line of the external pushbutton to the terminals,
if applicable, or insert the short circuit bridge (O) for slave
mode. Lead external push-button cable and EASY signal cable together (overlapped) through one opening (L) to ensure
a correct cable clamping function.
Use cable clamps.
Insulate the cable PE conductor, if necessary.
Connecting the outputs
Strip the 4-wire lines (P), remove the insulation and connect
to the terminals. Do not connect the terminals labeled “DO
NOT USE”.
