How to use this guide
This guide is divided into two sections, an Installation Guide (pages 1-8) and a Commissioning Guide (page 9). The installation section provides instructions for OEMs to efficiently integrate the CLM into their luminaires on the assembly line. The commissioning section is aimed toward installers and commissioning agents to successfully deploy OSRAM powered, wirelessly enabled luminaires in the field.
Tools required
— Connected Lighting Module (CLM)
— OPTOTRONIC® LED Power Supply
— Solid core wire (18-22 AWG) with max DIA of 2.23mm

Assembly Steps
1. Mount CLM in the luminaire (or mounting plate) through the knockout using the mounting clips. The diameter of the opening must be 21.82-23.01mm per NEMA standard for ½ inch knockout.
Insert module into standard half-inch knockout Push the module to lock into the luminaire
2. Using wire between 18-22AWG (max total diameter of 2.23mm, which includes copper and insulation), strip a length of 7mm (tolerance ±0.5mm).

Insulation
WARNING: Using a wire with a higher thickness will cause insufficient connection.
3. Insert the wires through the terminals and push them until the insulation passes through the first CLM body and hits the inside layer of the CLM assembly. This step is critical to ensure the wires engage in the terminal blocks.
4. Use the built-in strain relief (for 20-22 AWG) or a zip tie (for 18AWG) to ensure a reliable connection of the wires in the terminals.

Rewiring
To rewire the CLM, first cut the wires, leaving 1-2 inches. Carefully rotate the wire (clockwise or counter-clockwise) while pulling backwards. The CLM can only be rewired a maximum of 2 times, after which the strength of the terminals is weakened. Repeated attempts can permanently damage the terminals.
Disassembling CLM from Luminaire
To remove the CLM from the luminaire, follow the steps listed above to remove wires. Then use the removal tool to disengage the mounting clips.

Not Recommended Practices
1. Do not wire the CLM first before installing it in the knockout. The space will not be sufficient to successfully install the unit
2. To uninstall the CLM, use the removal tool. Do not use a screwdriver or any other tool as it can permanently damage the mounting clips.
