AIRSCAPE™ BACKPANEL

Every Talon/Tempes t Series pack
features the Air Scape™ back panel,
a mesh c overed, ridge molded f oam
backpanel that is lightweight and
support ive with integrated channels and
central air chimney for vent ilation .

BIOSTRETCH™ HARNESS

The Talon/Tempest BioStretch™ gender
specific harness consists of mesh
covered, die cut foam with s ew n in
spac er mesh, a s tretch wov en harness
pock et and an adjust able sternum str ap
wit h rescue whis tle buckle to pr ovide the
utmost in comfor table and stable carry.

BIOSTRETCH™ HIPBELT

The Talon/Tempest BioStretch™ gender
specific built-in hipbelt is a m esh
covered, die cut slot ted f oam hipbelt
featuring zipper ed stre tch mesh pockets
and a modifie d straight ErgoP ull™
closure s ys tem providing com fortable,
stable load transfer and carry.

STR ETCH WO VEN SIDE PO CKETS

(Excludes Talon/Tempest 6)

Each Talon/ Tempe st Series Pack
features dual side str etch woven side
pock ets pro viding acces sible ext ernal
storage options . The side pockets on
the four lar gest Talon models(44, 3 3,
22, 1 8)and the four lar gest Tempes t
models(40 , 30, 20, 16) feature
InsideOu t™ compres sion allowing you
to tension and se cur e loads eas ily e ven
when t he side pock et s are in use. To
route the InsideOut™ compression strap,
A) loca te the slider buckle to the top and
side of the s tretch woven side pocke t
and unthread the webbing through this
buck le. B) No w route the webbing by
posi tioning the slider buckle inside or
outside o f the s ide pocket and r eversing
the pr oce ss above.

STOW-ON-THE-GO™
TREKKING POLE ATTACHMENT

(Ex cludes Talon /Tempes t 11, 9, 6)

The Stow-on-the-Go™ trekking pole
attachment is designed to conveniently
sto w your pole s whe n not in use. To
operate: short en tr ekking poles t o a
safe, manageable size, A) locate the
elas tic ized loop below the side pocket
on the lef t side of pac k then pull loop
away from the s ide po cke t and inser t
the ba ske t end of your poles . B) On the
lef t harness str ap locate t he tr ekking
pole ic on, C) engage the c ord lock
beneath t he fabric patch with your
thumb and forefinger and pull up on the
cord to open, place pole handles in the
loop and tighten wit h the cord lock to
secure. Revers e to remove.

TOOL ATTACHMENT

(Excludes Talon/Tempest 6)

Lower tool loops work in conjunction
wit h fixed bung ee tool tie -offs to pr ovide
sta ble, secure ice tool c arry. To utilize
this f eature , slide the t ool shaf t through
the lo op and flip the shaf t up towar ds
the top of the pac k using the bungee tool
tie- off to secu re. Reve rse this proc ess
to remove.

EXTERNAL HYDRATION

Located bet ween the Talon/ Tempest
back panel and main pack body is an
exterior hydration compartment.
(Talon/Tempes t 6 have bot tle s lee ves.)
A) Locate t he H2O icon and loo sen load
lif ter s traps at t he top of the pack. B)

Plac e the r eservoir in the compar tment
using the sewn -in hanger t o hold it
upright. C) Route the hos e lef t/right
through elastic routers on the harness
as pre ferred, clo se compar tment and
re-t ension load lif ter str aps .

HYDRAULIC S RESERVOIR

Add an O spr ey Hydraulics™ 2 or
3 lite r hydration r eservoir or a
Hydraulics™ LT 1.5 or 2.5 liter
hydration reserv oir to your p ack
for stable, efficient , on-t he-go
water man agement . For more

HARNESS ADJUSTMENT

(Talon 44/33/22,Tempest 40/30/20)

To adjust the Talon/Tempes t
harnesses, A) loosen load lift er
str aps a t top o f har nes s and slide
a hand between the backpanel
and har ness to re lease hook and
loop closure. B) Slide harne ss in to
posi tion using arr ows to guide
and press firml y on backpanel to
reengage hook and loop closure

TOP P OCKET RE MOVAL

(Talon 44/33, Tempest 40/30)

To remove the top pocket, release
the top pocket ret ention s traps
on each side o f the p ack t o flip
back t he top pocket . A) Locate the
slider buckle by the grab handle
near the top of the backpanel and
thread the webbing t hro ugh the
buck le. B) On e ach c orner of t he
top pocke t find the connecting
webbing threaded through a slider
buckle. Unthread this webbing
on bot h sides and t he top pocket
is now r emoved. R evers e to re­attach.

LIDLOCK™ HELMET ATTACHMENT

To use the L idLock™ helmet
attachment system, A) Locate

LidL ock™ clip near the t op of t he
pack ’s front panel and pull away
from the pack. B) In the v er tic al
posi tion, pass LidLock™ thr ough
helme t vent from the bottom and
engage in hor izontal posi tion.
On the r ight outs ide panel of the
pack find a cor d loop to incr ease
or decrease tension. Reverse to
remove helmet.

GENDER SPECIFIC FIT

The Tempest 40, 30, 20, 16, 9 and 6 ar e the w omen’s speci fic
counter par ts to the Talon Series. The Tempes t’s har nes s, hipbelt
and two av ailable torso size s are all designed to fit a w oman’s body,
providing the same level of perf ormance for women t hat we’ve
est ablished in our Talon pack f or men.
