should end 1"/2.5cm- 2"/5c m below the armpit s and the sternum s trap

A Completely loos en the pack 's hipbelt str aps, harness straps and load lifters.

B Load the pack with 10 -20lb s / 4-9kg of gear.

C Put on t he pack ensuring the hipbelt is centered and resting over the user's
hipbones. T he hipbelt padding should sit half above and half below the hipbone.
Buck le the hipbelt and tighten the hipbelt st raps .

ADJUSTING HARNESS
A Completely loos en the pack 's load li fters and harnes s straps.
B Locate the ar row icon at the top o f the ridged foam backpanel.
C Slide a hand bet ween back panel and shoulder harness to pull apart
the hook and loop closure.
D Slide the shoulder harness up or down to correspond to the appropriate torso length.
E Fir mly pres s down on the ridged foam backpanel to re-engage hook and loop closure.
WOMEN'S SPECIFIC FIT
+ The unique sus pended mesh locate d on the shoulders, backpanel, lumbar and
hipbelt contour to a w ide varie ty of body shapes and sizes to create a cus tom fi t
to your body.
+ The pack shape is narr ower and deeper, allo wing grea ter fr eedom of mo vement
and increas es stabilization by lowering the posi tion of the load to a woman's
center of gravity.
+ The shoulder harness is des igned w ith di fferent c urves to cr eate an anatomical
fit f or a woman's neck , shoulders and chest.
+ Women's hips are c onically s haped w ith a larger difference bet ween the w aist
and hip measur ements. The hipbelts are shaped and angled to accommodate
this differenc e, which allows a more comfortable load trans fer and support .
D Tighten the shoulder harness str aps by pulling them do wn and back . Adjust and
buck le the s ternum str ap 2"/5cm below t he collar bone. Tight en the load li fts to
transfer the weight of f of the shoulders.

E Find t he harnes s yoke or where the har ness s traps come toge ther near the users
neck . The yoke s hould be 2"/5cm below the C7 ver tebrae. The C7 v ert ebrae can
be located b y tilting the head dow n and finding the bone that protr udes
at the base of the neck.
F Make note of how far the y oke is from the C7 vertebrae. Based on this
meas urement the t orso c an be adjust ed to the desired 2"/5cm.

The floating top lid can ext end to accept oversized loads or can be r emoved
from the pack body for weight sav ing lidless use.
INTERNAL COMPRESSION STRAP

Once y our pack is loaded, clip and tighten the red
inte rnal compression strap to stabilize the load.
An ex ternal r eservoir sleeve is locate d behind the shoulder
harness, allowing easy loading/unloading of a hydration
reservoir. Placing your r eserv oir inside the slee ve helps
provide proper weight distribution when carrying your
pack . There is a buckled loop at the top o f the sleeve to
att ach to the r eservoir to minimize slipping.
A Release the top lid r etention strap buckles on the front side of the pack.
B Un thread the webbing thr ough the duckbill buckle s located on the
Dual upper side compression straps stabilize loads while lower, cross functional
compression straps also ser ve as ext ernal gear carr y straps. To adjust, slide the ny lon
str ap through the slider buck le and cinch i t to compress/carry.
A Locate the raincover icon near the base of t he pack.
B Unzip the raincover compartment.
C Pull raincover f rom compartme nt and slip ov er top and bottom o f the pack .
D Tension into place using the cor d lock at the bottom of the raincover.
E Re verse this process t o return r aincover to compart ment.
F To remove the rainc over altogether, unfasten the hook and loop s trap from the
cord loop inside the r aincover compartment.
A Slide the tool shaft through the top of the ice tool loop and flip the shaft up
toward the top of the pack .
B Loosen t he bungee cord lock and route the tool handle through the bungee.
Tigh ten the cord lock nesting it int o the Y-Clip to s ecure the tool into place.
C Reverse to r emove.

PACK / RESERVOIR MAINTENANCE
Your Osprey pack is an extremely durable product and is built for years of use.
However, some basic pack maintenance will help ensure your pack lasts a lifetime.
OSPREY PACKS
STANDARD MAINTENANCE
+ After each trip be sure to clean ou t your pack thoroughly.
+ C lean the zippers regularl y using mild soap, warm w ater and sof t brush. This will
help keep them in proper working condition.
+ I f your pack is we t, hang it to dr y out of direct sunlight .
+ L oosen all the straps.
+ Wash your pack if dirt , sweat, salt and s tains have worked their way into fabrics,
webbing or mesh.

WASHIN G YOUR PACK
A Empty the pack including any food , dirt or spilled contents .
B If your pack has a re movable harness and hipbelt , remove t hem from t he pack bo dy.
C Do NOT w ash your pack in a w ashing machine. Clean your pack and components
in a bat htub or large sink using a mild detergent and warm water.
D Agitate the pack gently. Scrub the inside and outside of all compartments
including the pocke ts with a soft brush.
E Clean the zippers using a mild soap, warm water and a soft bru sh. Flush water
and soap through the buckles. Keeping dir t and debris out of t he zippers and
buckles will help keep them in proper working condition.
F Drain the dir ty water from the bathtub or s ink and refill with cool clean non-
soap y water. Rinse the pack t horoughly. Repeat t his step as nec cessary.
G Hang your pack to dry ou tside or in a well v entilated area, out of direct s unligh t.
WHEELED TRAVEL LUGGAGE
(Do no t immers e travel p acks in wa ter wit h our HighRo ad™ Wheeled Cha ssis.)

D Clean the pack fabric by scrubbing st ains and dir t with warm water, mild
detergen t and a soft brush or sponge.
E Use a wet t owel with clean non-soapy wa ter to wipe a way any soap residue on
the pack.
F Hang your pack to dry outside or in a well vent ilated ar ea, out of direct sunlight .
RECOMMENDED CLEA NING PRODUC TS
Ospr ey recommends Nik wax® products for pack care. Be sure to r ead
label directions c arefully befor e applying any product to your pack .
Tech Wash® - Use this with w arm water for washing and cleaning your
packs or luggage.
Tent & Gear Solar Pr oof® - Use this spr ay-on produc t to protect your packs from
UV ex posur e and to improve water repellency.
OSPREY RESERVOIRS
RESERVOIR STANDARD MAINTENANCE
+ Rinsing out your reservoir aft er each use should keep your re ser voir fresh,
espe cially when using sugary dr ink mixes.
+ Periodically use Osprey's Hydraulics™ Cleaning Tablets to clean your reservoir.
+ Iodine or o ther purif ying t ablet s used in your reservoir will no t affect the qualit y
of your reservoir. Howe ver these tablets may st ain the r eservoir ove r time.
+ Freezing your reservoir will no t effect the qualit y of the res erv oir. However if the
reservoir is filled with water, be awar e that wat er expands wh en it fr eezes and
can damage your reservoir if it is over filled.
+ Do NOT pour boiling water into the reservoir. This can damage the re ser voir and
will void your warranty.

CLE ANING YOUR RESER VOIR
A Fill re servoir with warm wat er. Do not use bleach or boiling wat er.
B Add one cleaning tablet to res erv oir and close th e cap.
C Let tablet dissol ve for 5 minutes wi th the res erv oir lay ing on its back.
D Shake the reservoir for 30 s econds to mix and spre ad the solution.
E Pinch the bite valve and squeeze the r eservoir to remove air and fill t he
reservoir hose and bite valv e with solut ion.
F Let t he reser voir sit for 15 minu tes and then pour out solut ion.
G Rinse the reservoir and tube wit h clean cool w ater.
H Hang your reservoir to dr y in a well v entilated area.
DEEP C LEANIN G YOUR RESER VOIR
1 Rinse out the r eservoir and fill it wit h warm wat er and a mild dish de tergent.
Do not use bleach or boiling water.
2 With the lar ge cleaning brush f rom Osprey 's Hydraulics™ Cleaning Kit scr ub the
interior of the reservoir.
3 Remove the hose from the reser voir and the bite valve from the hose and use
the sm all brush from Osprey's Hydraulics™ Cle aning K it to scrub th e interior of
the hose.
4 Remove the silicone bite valve cover and clean i t and the bite valv e with warm
soapy water.
5 Rinse the interior and exterior of the reservoir, hos e and bite valve par ts with
cool clean wa ter.
6 Let the hose and bite valve dry in a w ell-ventilated area.
7 Insert Osprey's Hydr aulics™ Cleaning Kit dr ying rac k into t he res erv oir and
hang to dry in a w ell ven tilated area.
