panel on each E xos Series pack.
REMOVABLE T OP POCKE T
The E xos Series features a
remo vable float ing top pocket wi th
an internal key clip and under-lid
zippered mesh pocket. To remove
the top pock et, release each
compression strap and flip back the
top pocket. A) Locate the toggle
buck le by the grab h andle near the
top of the pack’s backpanel and
rele ase the buck le fr om the s ewnin, cord loop att achment point.
B) On each c orner of the top pocket
find the connecting toggle buckles
and release the buckle s from the
sew n-in cord loo p att achment
points at the top of the pack’s
backpanel C) Reverse t o re-a ttach.
INTEGRATED FLAPJACKET™
CLOSURE SYSTEM
Whenthepac kisbeingused
wit hout t he removable top pocke t,
the FlapJacke t™ lid deploys
to provide main compar tment
protection from the elements and
top-down compression to keep
the pack load stable. To deploy
the FlapJacke t™, remo ve the top
pock et as descr ibed above and
deploy FlapJacket™ over the main
compartment using the top po cket
att achment strap s to buc kle and
cinch into place.
REMOVABLE SLEEPING PAD STRAPS
Each E xos Series pack feat ures
cross functional, removable
sleeping pad straps providing
ext ernal gear c arr y opt ions. To
utilize the str aps, a djust to des ired
length using the sewn-in duckbill
slider buck les found at t he bas e of
each s ide of t he pack and tension
over load to secur e. To remove the
str ap completely when not in use,
thread both ends of the sleeping
pad straps through the cord loops
below the front pocke t, un thread
the strap f rom the sewn-in duckbill
slider buckles and remove.
ST RETCH MESH
EXTERNAL POCKETS
Every Exos Series pack fe atures a
str etc h mesh f ron t pock et and dual
side stretch mesh side pockets
with InsideOut™ compression
providing easily acc essible ex ter nal
gear s torage. The InsideOu t™
compression feature allo ws you
to tension and secure loads via
your mesh side pock ets. To rout e
the InsideOut™ compression
str aps as desir ed, A) locate the
small duckbill buckle just abo ve
the me sh side pocket and use
your f orefinger t o pull up a s you
pull the webbing down. B) Thr ead
this webbing through the sewnin eyelet at the top of the s ide
pocket near the backpanel of the
pack t o free completely. You can
now route t he webbing for inner or
outer compression by thre ading
through the eyelet and positioning
the compre ssion str ap inside or
outside of the side pock et.
Additionally, C) you can ent irel y
remo ve the side compre ssion
straps by threading the webbing
through both the b ott om duckbill
buck le des crib ed above and t he
duck bill buckle f ound at the top of
the pack’s front panel.
ICE TOOL LOOP
A single tool loop found near t he
base o f your Exos Series pack
works in conjunc tion w ith t he side
compression strap a t the top of
your pack ’s side panel or your ow n
webbing to pr ovide st able, secure
ice to ol car ry.
STOW-ON-THE-GO™ TREK KING
POLE ATTACHMENT
Stow-on-the-Go™ trekking
pole attachmen t is des igned to
conv eniently stow your poles
when n ot in us e. To operate:
shor ten trek king poles t o a saf e,
manageable size, A) locate the
elasticized loop below the side

then pull loop away f rom the side
pock et and inser t the basket
end of y our poles. B) On t he lef t
harness strap locate the trekking
pole ic on, C) engage the cord lock
beneath the fabr ic patch with your
thumb and forefinger and pull up
on the c ord to open, place pole
handles in the loop and tighten
wit h the cord loc k to secure.
Reverse to remove
INTERNAL HYDRATION SLEEVE
The E xos Series features an
internal sewn-in backpanel
slee ve wi th clip att achment to
accommoda te up to 3 liters of
hydration. At the top of both
sides of the p ack yo u will find H2O
icons mark ing the routing points
for your hydrat ion tube. Slip the
reserv oir into the sleev e and route
the ho se thr ough t he right or left
port and through t he sewn-in
elas tic strap s on the harne ss.
HYDRAULICS RESERVOIR
Add an O sprey Hydraulics™ 2 or
3 lite r hydration res ervoir or a
Hydraulics™ LT 1.5 or 2 .5 lit er
hydration reservoir to your pa ck
for stable, effic ient , on-the-go
water management. For more
