HARNESS SIZING
A Complet ely loosen the p ack 's hipb elt s traps, harness s traps and load lifters.
B Load the p ack w ith 10-20lb s/4-9kg o f gear.
C P ut on t he pack ensuring the hipbel t is centered and re sting ov er the user 's
hipbones. The hipbelt padding should sit half above and hal f belo w the hipbone.
Buck le the hipbelt and t ighten the hipbelt straps.
D Tighten the shoulder harne ss straps by pulling them down and back. Adjust and
buck le the sternum strap 2"/5cm below t he collarbone . Tighten the load lift s to
transf er the weight off of the shoulders .
HARNESS FIT
The harne ss s traps should w rap f ully around your shoulders wi th no gaps
bet ween the p ack and back. The padded part o f the harness s traps should
end 1"/2.5cm- 2"/5cm below t he ar mpits and the ster num strap adjusted to
approxim ately 2"/5cm below t he collarbone .
E Find t he harness yoke or w here the harness s traps come together ne ar the user's
neck . The yoke s hould be 2"/5cm below the C7 vertebr a. The C7 vert ebra can be
loca ted b y tilting t he head down and f inding the bone that pr otrude s at the base
of the neck .
F Make a note of how f ar the yoke is fr om the C7 vert ebra. Bas ed on t his
meas urement, the tor so can be adju sted to the desired 2"/5cm.

INTERCHANGEABLE HIPBELT & HARNESS
Features interchangeable hipbelt s to accommodate differences in bod y propor tions
and ensure a perfec t fit.
To remov e the hipbel t:
1 Unclip the buckle a t the f ront of the zippered hipbelt pocke t and repeat on the
opposite side.
2 Unclip the buckle beneath the hipbelt p ocket and repeat on the opposite side.
3 Slide your hand bet ween the hipbel t and pack to break the hook and loop closure,
and remove the hipbelt.
4 Re verse instr uctions t o reinstall ne w hipbelt .
To remov e the harne ss:
1 Unthr ead load lift er webbing on bot h sides of harness.
2 Unthr ead lower harness strap webbing on both sides of harness .
3 Slide hand bet ween backpanel and harness to releas e hook and loop a ttachment.
4 Re verse steps to ins tall new harness.
To adjust the harness:
Slide hand be tween backpanel and har ness to release hook and loop
att achment and slide harness into position using arr ows to guide.

Removing side compression straps :
A Unclip the buckle locate d at the top o f each compression strap and unthread the
webbing compression strap from the buckle itself.
B Unthread the webbing f rom t he aluminum D-rings and the frame its elf.
C Unthr ead the webbing f rom t he triglide located at the base of the pack behind
the hipbelt pocket.
D To reattach the side compres sion straps reverse the steps listed.

STOW-ON-THE-GO™ TREKKING POLE ATTACHMENT

Ospr ey 's St ow-on the-Go™ trek king pole a tt achment i s designed to quickl y attach
and carr y trekk ing poles while wearing a pack.
A Locate t he ela sticiz ed loop on the lower left side of p ack . While pulling the loop
out from the pac k, insert the bas ket end of the trek king pole s int o the loop.
B On the lef t harnes s strap locate the trekking pole icon. Pull up on the cor d to
open, plac e pole handles in the loop and tighten with the cord lock t o secure.
C Reverse t hese steps to r emo ve the trekk ing poles.

B To remove the aluminum t oggle attachmen ts (t wo locat ed on the side of the

A To attach th e Day lite/Da ylite+, push th e slider through the cord loop fr om under neath and pull the side c ompression s traps to t ighten/adjust tension
as needed.
B To attach the Alpine P ocket, attach the four me tal hooks to the web loops .

B Remove the cord from the two small web loops
To attach tools:
A Slide t he tool sha ft through the top of the ic e tool loop and flip the shaft up
toward t he top of the pack.
B Place the shaft between the upper cord lo op and f ront compres sion flap, then
thread the front compr ession s trap buckle through the upper cord loop, clip the
buckle, then tighten.
C Reverse t o remove.
STERNUM STRAP WITH INTEGRATED SAFETY WHISTLE

A Unthread the w ebbing fr om the triglide.
B Unthread the webbing f rom t he gir th hitch att achment .
C Reverse t o reattach.
