Installation Manual Planter Speaker

INSTALLING
Step 1
Decide the location of the planter speaker and estimate the length of wire you will
need. The OSD Audio Planter Speaker reproduce sound in a full 360 degrees. One
speaker will cover large area with sound.

If it is necessary in your installation, dig a 4” to 5” deep trench to the speaker location to run your speaker wire in.
Using the 3 feet of wire included with your planter, run wire from the planter location to your receiver or audio equipment.

Step 1
Unpack the planter speaker from the packing box.
Step 2
Run the 1 meter of wire

attached to the planter through the hole marked WIRE in the planter base.

Attach the planter base
1 meter of wire
to the planter.
Warranty & Repair
All OSD Audio speaker products have (2) year Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Proof of purchase must accompany all claims. During the warranty period OSD will replace any defective part and correct any defect in workmanship without charge for either
OSD Audio may replace returned speakers with a product of equal value and performance. In such
cases, some modifications to the mounting may be necessary and are not OSD’s responsibility.
For this warranty to apply, the unit must be installed and used according to its written instructions. If necessary, repairs must be performed by OSD. The unit must be returned to OSD at the owner's expense and with prior written permission. Accidental damage and shipping damage are not considered defects, nor is damaged resulting from abuse or from servicing performed by an
agency or person not specifically authorized in writing by OSD.
OSD Audio sells products only through authorized dealers and distributors to ensure that custom­ers obtain proper support and service. Any OSD product purchased from an unauthorized dealer or other source, including retailers, mail over dealers and online sellers will not be honored or serviced under existing OSD warranty policy. Any sale of product by an unauthorized source or
other manner not authorized by OSD shall void the warranty on the applicable product.
Damage to or destruction of components due to application of excessive power voids the warranty on those parts. In these cases, repairs will be made on the basis of the retail value of the parts and labor. To return for repairs, you must email customer service at RMA@osdaudio.com for a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number# then the unit must be shipped to OSD at the owner's expense, along with a note explaining the nature of service required. Be sure to pack the speaker(s) in a corrugated container
with at least 3 inches of resilient material to protect the unit from damage in transit.

The wire can also be run on top of the ground if this is accpectable in your installation.
Note: if additional wire is required then the use of 16 guage or larger direct burial grade is strongly recommended.
Step 4
The wire that is included with the planter speakers is 4 conductor wire. This wire allows you to send the right and left channel through one piece of wire. Use the following color code when connecting this wire to your receiver or audio.
Attach the wire you have run from your receiver or audio equipment to the 1 meter piece of wire that is included with the planter speakers. Match the colors Red to Red, Black to Black. White to White and Green to Green. When connecting the wires Direct Burial Wire Connector are recommended, these are not included with the planter speakers.

After the above wires are connected together, connect the wires from your planter speaker to the terminals on the back of your receiver.

Step 5
Turn your receiver on and test the system with your favorite music, if the speakers are operating properly refill the wire trench and cover the wire. You can now refill the planter with soil and the plant of your choice.
Note: the drain hole located in the planting area allows excess water to drain from the planter. The base of the planter is designed to contain the excess water and allow it to evaporate. If an excessive amount of water is required to drain out of the planter water can seep from the base, this is normal operation.
