1.2 WHAT ABOUT ELECTROMAGNET IC ENERGY
All electronic instruments which transmit remote informations are generally apparatus which emit in the environment some radio waves. These radio waves are called " electromagnetic energy ".
The functionality of an electronic instrument can be deteriorated by this electromagnetic energy field. It is what we call " an electromagnetic interference". Stronger the intensity of energy is, greater the risk of bad functional problem of the apparatus increase. This energy is measured in volt per meter (V/m).
All motorized scooter are suitable to be affected by these interferences. However, current technology makes it possible to immunize them against these risks. It is what is called their electromagnetic level of immunity to the interference, measured also in volt per meter (V/m).
30 V/m is a level of immunity which offers a good protection against the electromagnetic interferences. The electronic parts of the EGIS electronic from
do meet standard directive EC, 89/336/ECC et EMC prEN12184.
To avoid electromagnetic interferences, it is important to read and respect the following warning section, before you use your
Scooter for the first time.
1.2.1 WARNINGS
Waves emitted by:
radio and television stations,
amateur radio,
radio transmitters and receivers,
cellular phones,
computer laptops
CAN AFFECT THE CORRECT OPERATION OF MOTORIZED SCOOTERS.
1.2.2 USING TRANSMITTERS AND RECEIVER
Avoid proximity of these sources of electromagnetic emissions.
Always put the joystick box in the off position before using a cellular phone or a
CB apparatus.
The addition of electric accessories and/or electric modifications made to the scooter will modify its level of immunity to the electromagnetic emissions.
Always put the key in the off position as soon as possible when appears an erratic operation with the scooter.

6.4 BATTERIES
6.4.1 RECHARGING FREQUENCY
NEWBATTERIES
After the installation of new batteries, make sure to complete five (5) «load cycle», to get batteries at their full capacity. A battery has made a complete load cycle when it’s load has dropped to 20% from it’s original 100% load. Look at the load indicator status on the motorized vehicle control panel display to visualize that the batteries dropped to 20% of the load (20% = end of the YELLOW zone and beginning of the RED zone).
If the complete «load cycle» is not carried out, the motorized vehicle autonomy will be directly affected.
RECOMMENDEDUSAGE
Once the five (5) first complete «load cycles» are done, follow this advice for normal usage:
Charge the vehicle after utilization. Do not wait a long period (more than one week) between two (2) battery charge. It is not necessary to completely discharge the batteries before beginning a charge cycle.
Wait until the indicator shows that the batteries are fully loaded, before unplugging the charger. When the green led is on, this means that the complete charge cycle is completed.
STORAGE
A battery should always be stored in an area with ambient temperature in between 10° and 20° Celsius. Batteries should always be fully charged.
In winter time, batteries should be stored indoors. If it is not possible, make sure that the batteries are fully charged. Ideally, batteries should be charged monthly to prevent freezing and/or deterioration.
6.4.2 BATTERIES CLEANING
To prevent contact between two battery terminals, caused by an accumulation of dust or grime. You should clean the outside of the batteries with a little water and bicarbonate of soda. It will extend the lifespan of the batteries.
Take off the oxidation on the battery terminals.
Check if battery terminals are sufficiently tightened.
Put a little dielectric grease on batteries terminals this will help prevent oxidation.
recommends to use maintenance free sealed
batteries.
