Using
Installing the Battery
• Insert one AAA battery into the player. Match the + and - symbols on the batteries with the + and -
symbols inside the battery compartment.
Listening to music quick start steps
• If you are using Windows XP, Windows Me, or Windows 2000:
1. Connect the player into your computer’s USB port via USB cable.
2. Copy .MP3 files to the Music folder on the player.
3. Remove the player from your computer.
4. Press and hold the
f button to turn on the player.
5. Press the
f button to play music.
Note: When Hold switch is on, the buttons on the player will not function.
• If you are using Windows 98 SE, see “Installing Software” on page ()
Turning the power On and Off
• Press and hold the
f button to turn on the player. The player turns on.
• Press the
f button for more than one second to turn off the player. If the player is in Stop mode for
longer than one minute, the player turns off.
Digital music player modes
• Stop playback and press the Mode button one or more times to select one of the following player
modes: MUSIC -> VOICE -> RECORD -> FM RADIO
Playing digital music tracks or voice files
• To play music tracks or voice files
- Press the
f button. The music track or voice file plays.
• To stop music tracks or voice files
- Press the
f button. The music track or voice file stops playing.
Playing an FM radio station
• To change SCAN / MEMORY mode
- While in FM radio mode, press and hold the mode button.
• To tune to an FM station manually (SCAN mode)
- Push the navi stick toward ee or ff to adjust the frequency by 0.1MHz.
• To tune to an FM station automatically (SCAN mode)
- Push the navi stick toward ee or ff for more than one second and release the stick to tune to the
next available station.
Programming a favorite FM station
• To program a favorite station (SCAN mode)
1. Tune to the station you want to program.
2. Press the
f button.
3. Select a preset number (1 through 10) by pushing the navi stick toward ee or ff.
4. Press the
f button to program current station.
• To listen to a programmed station (MEMORY mode)
- Select a preset station number by pushing the navi stick toward ee or ff.
Adjusting the volume
• To adjust the volume
- The volume range adjusts from 0 to 30.
