About the Product

This is 15” flat panel screen with an active matrix, thin-film transistor (TFT),
liquid crystal display (LCD). The monitor features include the following:

Connecting the Display (Figure 7.1)

To setup this display, please refer to the following figure and procedures.

1. Ensure all equipment is switched off.

2. Connect one end of the power adapter to the power connector; plug one
end of the AC power cord into the power adapter, and then the other end
into an electrical outlet (Œ).

3. Connect the VGA signal cable to the 15-pin connector of your host
computer and tighten the screws (•).

4. Connect the Audio-In cable from audio input port of your display to the
Audio-out port of your computer (Ž).

5. Connect the USB signal cable to the USB connector of your host
computer (•).

6. Connect your headphone to the Headphone port(•).

7. Turn on your computer and display.

Notice: To ensure the LCD display will work well with your computer,

please configure the display mode of your graphic card t
less than or equal to 1024 x 768 resolution and make sure timing
of the display mode is compatible with the LCD display.
We have listed the “Compatibility Modes” of this LCD display in
appendices for your reference.

Use the OSD Menus

1. Press the “M” button to display the OSD Menus. Press the “S” button to
move between the OSD Menus. Press “M” to enter the function to be
adjusted and then press “S” to move between setting options.

2. Adjust the value of the option by pressing “-” and “+”. Press “S” to confirm
your choice.

3. To exit the OSD Menus, move to Exit and press “M”.

On-Screen Display Menus

First OSD Menu:

4 Auto-Adjustment

Chooses this function to obtain an optimum image.

4 Contrast

This function allows you to adjust the image crispness. Contrast adjusts
the difference between white and black shades.

4 Horizontal Position

Changes the horizontal position of the image.

4 Vertical Position

Changes the vertical position of the image.

4 Frequency

Changes the display data frequency to match the frequency of your
graphic card. When you are experiencing vertical flickering bar, use
this function to make an adjustment.

4 Tracking

Synchronizes the signal timing of the display to that of the graphic card.
When you are experiencing unstable to flickering image, use this function
to make an adjustment.

Second OSD Menu:

4 Display Mode

The display mode shows the display resolution, horizontal scan frequency,
vertical refresh of the current mode.

4 OSD Off-Time

Adjusts the time period for OSD menu disappear.

4 Language

You are able to select the language of all menu items.

4 Text-Graphic

Toggles between VGA text mode (mode M03H) and graphic mode (mode
M13H).

4 Reset

Returns the display parameters of the current mode to its factory default
settings.

4 Volume

It allows you to control the volume sound.

4 Mute

It allows you to disable the sound immediately.

Fourth OSD Menu:

4 Color

Adjusts the color temperature.

4 Color Adjustment-Red

It allows you to adjust the red color of the display.

4 Color Adjustment-Green

It allows you to adjust the green color of the display.

4 Color Adjustment-Blue

It allows you to adjust the blue color of the display.

Appendix

Troubleshooting

If you are experiencing trouble with the LCD display, refer to the
follows. If the problem persists, please contact your local dealer or
our service center.

Problem: No image appears on screen.

Check that all the I/O and power connectors are correctly and

well connected as described in the “ Installation ” section.
Make sure the pins of the connectors are not crooked or broken.

Problem: Partial image or incorrectly displayed the image.

Check to see if the resolution of your computer is higher than that

4

of the LCD display.
Reconfigure the resolution of your computer to make it less than

4

or equal to 1024 x 768

Problem: Image has vertical flickering line bars.

Use “ Frequency ” to make an adjustment.

Check and reconfigure the display mode of the vertical refresh

4

rate of your graphic card to make it compatible with the LCD display.

Problem: Image is unstable and flickering

Use “ Tracking ” to make an adjustment.

Problem: Image is scrolling

Check and make sure the VGA signal cable (or adapter) is well connected.

Check and reconfigure the display mode of the vertical refresh rate of your

graphic card to make it compatible with the LCD display.

Problem: Vague image (characters and graphics)

Use “ Frequency ” to make an adjustment. If this problem still exists, use

“Tracking” to make an adjustment.

Problem: Pen does not have the response or the response is not
good.

Check if the battery is working.

Check and make sure the USB signal cable (or adapter) is well connected.

4

Replug the USB signal cable.

4

Problem: Pen-Input water leakage

Redetects the frequency of Pen:

4

(1) Open "Control Panel" of the system and double click "USB Tablet" icon.

(2) Select the item of "buttons" and disable "Auto Setting".
(3) Click "adjust" button,when the pen tip pressure is detected completly, click

"OK" button.
(4) Enable to "Auto Setting", Click "OK" button.

(5) Replug the USB signal cable.

Warning Signal

Sometimes you probably will see the warning messages from this LCD screen.

This means that the LCD display cannot exactly receive the signal from the com­puter graphic ca rd.

Th ere are three kind of situations may happen.Please check with the connected
cables or contact your local dealer for more information.

4No Signal

This message means that the LCD display has been powered on but it cannot
receive any signal from the computer graphic card. Check all the power switches,
power cables, and VGA signal cable.

4Going to Sleep

This message means that the LCD display is under the power saving mode. In
addition, the LCD display will go to this sleeping mode when experiencing a
sudden signal disconnecting p roblem.

4Unsupport Mode

This message means that the signal of the computer graphic card is not
compatible with the LCD display. When the signal is not included in the
compatibility mode we have listed in the Appendices of this manual, the
LCD display will appear this message.

Pen-Input Driver & Software Installation

The driver are located on the enclosed CD-ROM for the these operating

systems: Windows Me/2000/98/XP , Mac 9.0/9.1/9.2.

Pen-Input Driver & Software Installation Process:

1. Before your start to install the tablet driver, please be sure the USB cable
already connected to the PC and LCD display.

2. Insert “Application software” CD-ROM.

3. Select “USB Tablet Manager”.

4. Click “Next” button to make sure installing this driver

Connecter l’Affichage (Figure 7.1)

Pour installer cet affichage, reportez-vous à la figure et aux procédures
suivantes.ʳ

1.ʳ Vérifiez que tous les équipements soient éteints.ʳ

2.ʳ Connectez une extrémité de l’adaptateur d’alimentation au connecteur

d’alimentation; branchez une extrémité du cordon d’alimentation CA à

l’adaptateur d’alimentation, et ensuite l’autre extrémité à la prise de
courant (n).

3.ʳ Connectez le câble de signal VGA au connecteur 15 broches de votre

ordinateur hôte et serrez les vis (o).

4.ʳ Connectez le câble d’Entrée Audio depuis le port d’entrée audio de votre

affichage au port de sortie Audio de votre ordinateur (p).

Comment Utiliser les Menus OSDʳ

1.ʳ Appuyez sur le bouton “M” pour afficher les Menus OSD. Appuyez sur le
bouton “S” pour parcourir les Menus OSD. Appuyez sur “M” pour entrer

Dépannageʳ

Si vous rencontrez des problèmes lors de l’utilisation de l’affichage LCD,
reportez-vous à ce qui suit. Si le problème persiste, veuillez contacter votre
vendeur local ou notre centre de service.

Problème : Aucune image n’apparaît à l’écran.

 Vérifiez que tous les connecteurs d’E/S et d’alimentation sont correctement

connectés comme décrit dans la section “Installation”.

 Assurez-vous que les broches des connecteurs ne sont pas pliées ou cassées.

Problème : Image partielle ou non correctement affichée.

 Vérifiez si la résolution de votre ordinateur est supérieure à celle de l’affichage

LCD.

 Reconfigurez la résolution de votre ordinateur pour la rendre inférieure ou égale à

1024 x 768

Problème : L’image présente des barres verticales scintillantes.

 Utilisez “ Fréquence ” pour effectuer le réglage.
 Vérifiez et reconfigurez le mode d’affichage de la vitesse de rafraîchissement

verticale de votre carte graphique pour la rendre compatible avec l’affichage LCD.

Problème : L’image est instable et scintillante

 Utilisez “Suivi” pour effectuer un réglage.

Problème : L’image défile

 Vérifiez et assurez-vous que le câble de signal VGA (ou l’adaptateur) est

correctement connecté.

 Vérifiez et reconfigurez le mode d’affichage de la vitesse de rafraîchissement

verticale de votre carte graphique pour la rendre compatible avec l’affichage LCD.

Problème : Image Vague (caractères et graphismes)

 Utilisez “Fréquence” pour effectuer le réglage. Si le problème persiste, utilisez

“Suivi” pour effectuer un réglage.



Problème : Il n’y a pas de réponse lors de l’utilisation du stylo, ou
la réponse est incorrecte.

 Vérifiez si la batterie fonctionne.
 Vérifiez et assurez-vous que le câble de signal USB (ou l’adaptateur) est

correctement connecté.

 Rebranchez le câble de signal USB.

Ce signal signifie que l’affichage LCD est en mode d’économie d’énergie. De plus,
l’affichage LCD entre dans ce mode veille quand il rencontre un problème de
déconnexion de signal soudain.

 Mode non pris en charge

Ce message signifie que le signal de la carte graphique de l’ordinateur n’est pas
compatible avec l’affichage LCD. Quand le signal n’est pas inclus dans le mode de

Beachten Sie zum Einrichten des LCD-Bildschirms bitte folgende
Vorgehensweise sowie nachstehende Abbildung.

1. Sicherstellen, dass alle Geräte ausgeschaltet sind.

2. Das am Netzteil befindliche Kabel am Netzanschluss anstecken;
ein Ende des Netzkabels am Netzteil anschließen, das andere
Ende des Netzkabels in die Netzsteckdose stecken (n).

3. Das VGA-Signalkabel am 15poligen Anschluss des Host-PC
anschließen und die Schrauben festziehen (o).

4. Das Audio-In-Kabel vom Audio-In-Anschluss des Displays mit dem
Audio-Out-Anschluss des PCs verbinden (p).

5. Das USB-Signalkabel am USB-Anschluss des Host-PC
anschließen (q).

6. Die Kopfhörer am Kopfhörer-Anschluss anschließen (r).

7. Computer und Bildschirm einschalten.

 Automatische Einstellung

Wählen Sie diese Funktion, um ein optimales Bild zu erhalten.

Kontrast

Mit dieser Funktion können Sie die Klarheit des Bildes einstellen.
Kontrast verändert den Unterschied zwischen weiß und schwarz.

 Horizontale Position

Ändert die horizontale Position des Bildes.



Vertikale Position

Ändert die vertikale Position des Bildes.

 Frequenz

Ändert die Anzeigefrequenz, damit sie zur Frequenz der Grafikkarte
passt. Verwenden Sie diese Funktion bei vertikalen Streifen, um das Bild
zu regulieren.

 Tracking

Synchronisiert das Signaltiming der Anzeige mit dem der Grafikkarte.
Verwenden Sie diese Funktion bei Bildflimmern oder -wackeln, um das
Bild zu regulieren.

Zweites OSD-Menü:



Anzeigemodus

Der Anzeigemodus zeigt die Auflösung der Anzeige, die horizontale
Scanfrequenz und die Auffrischungsrate (Vertikalfrequenz) des aktuellen
Modus an.

 OSD-Ausschaltzeit

Legt fest, nach welcher Zeit das OSD-Menü verschwindet.



Sprache

Zum Einstellen der gewünschten Menüsprache.

 Text-Grafik

Zum Umschalten zwischen VGA-Textmodus (Modus M03H) und
Grafikmodus (Modus M13H).

 Zurücksetzen

Störungsüberprüfungen

Bei Problemen mit der LCD-Anzeige beachten Sie bitte zunächst
folgende Hinweise. Besteht das Problem weiterhin, wenden Sie sich
bitte an Ihren zuständigen Händler oder an eines unserer
Servicezentren.

Problem: Es wird kein Bild angezeigt.

 Vergewissern Sie sich, dass alle E/A- und Netzanschlüsse richtig

angesteckt sind (siehe Abschnitt „Installation“).



Prüfen Sie, ob Anschlusspins verbogen oder gebrochen sind.

Problem: Das Bild wird teilweise oder falsch angezeigt.

 Prüfen Sie, ob die Auflösung des PC höher als die Auflösung der

LCD-Anzeige ist.

 Ändern Sie die Auflösung des PC auf maximal 1024 x 768 Pixel.

Problem: Das Bild hat senkrechte, flimmernde Streifen.



Verwenden Sie die Option „Frequenz“, um das Bild zu regulieren.

 Prüfen und ändern Sie ggf. die vertikale Auffrischungsrate der Grafikkarte,

damit sie zum LCD-Bildschirm passt.

Problem: Das Bild wackelt und flimmert.

 Verwenden Sie die Option „Tracking“, um das Bild zu regulieren.

Problem: Das Bild wandert.



Prüfen Sie, ob das VGA-Signalkabel (oder der Adapter) richtig angesteckt

ist.

 Prüfen und ändern Sie ggf. die vertikale Auffrischungsrate der Grafikkarte,

damit sie zum LCD-Bildschirm passt.

Problem: Das Bild ist unscharf (Zeichen und Bilder)

 Verwenden Sie die Option „Frequenz“, um das Bild zu regulieren. Besteht

das Problem weiterhin, verwenden Sie die Option „Tracking“, um das Bild
zu regulieren.

Problem: Sie erhalten keine oder eine falsche Reaktion, wenn Sie
den Stift verwenden.

 Überprüfen Sie die Batteriefunktion.

Stiftspitze komplett erkannt ist und anschließend „OK“.
(4) Aktivieren Sie „Autom. Einstellung“ und klicken Sie anschließend auf
„OK“.
(5) Stecken Sie das USB-Kabel wieder an.

Warnhinweise

Auf dem LCD-Bildschirm werden wahrscheinlich hin und wieder
Warnhinweise angezeigt.
Dies bedeutet, dass die LCD-Anzeige die Signale von der Grafikkarte des PC
nicht richtig empfangen kann.

Es können drei verschiedene Situationen auftreten. Bitte prüfen Sie in
einem solchen Fall, ob die Kabel richtig angesteckt sind, oder bitten Sie Ihren
zuständigen Händler um weitere Informationen.

 Kein Signal.

Dieser Warnhinweis zeigt an, dass die LCD-Anzeige eingeschaltet ist,
aber kein Signal von der Grafikkarte im PC empfängt. Prüfen Sie sämtliche
Ein-/Ausschalter, die Netzkabel und das VGS-Signalkabel.



Energiesparmodus

Dieser Warnhinweis zeigt an, dass sich die LCD-Anzeige im
Energiesparmodus befindet. Auch bei einer plötzlichen
Signalunterbrechung schaltet die LCD-Anzeige in den Energiesparmodus.

 Nicht unterstützter Modus

Dieser Warnhinweis zeigt an, dass das Signal von der Grafikkarte in Ihrem
PC nicht mit der LCD-Anzeige kompatibel ist. Diese Meldung erscheint,
wenn das Signal nicht in der im Anhang enthaltenen Liste mit
Kompatibilitätsmodi aufgeführt ist.

Debe:

• Apagar el aparato antes de proceder a su limpieza.

En alguna ocasión puede ser que aparezcan mensajes de aviso en su PCL. Esto

quiere decir que la señal de la tarjeta gráfica del ordenador no se recibe bien en
la PCL.

Hay tres tipos diferentes de situación en las que esto puede ocurrir.
Revise la conexión de los cables o póngase en contacto con su distribuidor
local.

• Sin señal.

Este mensaje quiere decir que la pantalla PLC está encendida pero que no recibe
ninguna señal de la tarjeta gráfica del ordenador. Revise las conexiones de todos
los interruptores, cables eléctricos y cable de señal VGA.

• En reposo.

Este mensaje quiere decir que la pantalla de PCL está en modo de ahorro de
energía. Además la PCL entrará en modo ahorro de energía cuando se
experimente una súbita desconexión de la señal.

• Modo no soportado

Este mensaje quiere decir que la señal de la tarjeta gráfica del ordenador no es
compatible con la señal de la PLC. En la PCL aparecerá este mensaje cuando la
señal recibida no sea compatible con la pantalla, podrá encontrar una lista de
modos de compatibilidad en el apendice de este manual.

Conexión del Display

Para preparar la pantalla consulte el esquema y las siguientes instrucciones:

1 Asegúrese de que el equipo está desconectado.

2 Conecte la fuente de alimentación al cable eléctrico. Conecte un extremo del

cable a la fuente de alimentación e introduzca el extremo con el enchufe en
la conexión a la red eléctrica.

3 Conecte el cable de VGA a la clavija de 15 pins del ordenador que vaya a

utilizar como fuente, y a continuación apriete los tornillos.

4 Conecte el cable de audio al puerto de entrada de audio de su pantalla y al

puerto de salida de audio de su ordenador.

5 Conecte el cable USB al conector USB de su ordenador fuente.

6 Conecte los auriculares a la entrada de auriculares.

7 Encienda el ordenador y la pantalla.

Nota: Para asegurarse de que su pantalla de cristal líquido pueda

funcionar bien con su ordenador, configure la presentación en

Collegare il prodotto

Per collegare questo prodotto si prega di adottare le seguenti procedure e di prestare
attenzione alle foto allegate.

1. Fare attenzione che il prodotto sia spento.

2. Collegare una estremità del cavo di alimentazione alla presa di alimentazione;
collegare una estremità del cavo di alimentazione AC al cavo presa multipla, e l’altra
estremità ad una presa elettrica.

3. Collegare il cavo VGA alla presa a 15 punte del computer e girare le viti.

4. Collegare il cavo Audio-in del porto audio input del display al porto audio-out nel
computer.

5. Collegare il cavo USB alla presa USB sul computer.

6. Collegare la cuffia al porto cuffia.

7. Accendere il computer ed il monitor.

Attenzione: Per assicurarsi the il display LCD funzioni bene con il vostro computer, si

prega di configurare il display mode della graphic card in modo da
renderlo minore o uguale ad una risoluzione di 1024x768. Assicurarsi
anche che la risoluzione del diplay mode sia compatibile con il display
LCD. Troverete una lista dei “modi di compatibilità” di questo prodotto in
appendice.

Warning Signal

Se dovesse comparire un messaggio di avvertimento sullo schermo, questo significa che
il display non riceve accuratamente il segnale dalla carta grafica del computer.

Ci sono tre tipi di situazione quando questo potrebbe accadere. Si prega di controllare
che tutti i cavi siano collegati in maniera corretta. Si prega di mettersi in contatto con il
proprio rivenditore per avere ulteriori informazioni.

• No Signal (nessun segnale)

Questo messaggio significa che il display LCD è acceso, ma non riceve alcun segnale
dalla carta grafica del computer. Controllare che gli interruttori di alimentazione, i cavi
di alimentazione e il cavo VGA siano correttamente collegati.

• Going to Sleep (in riposo)

Questo messaggio significa che il display LCD è in power saving mode. Questo
messaggio comparirà anche quando il segnale viene improvvisamente interrotto.

• Unsupported Mode (modo non compatibile)

Questo messaggio compare quando il segnale della carta grafica del computer non è
compatibile con il display LCD.

OPPSETTING AV MONITOREN Figur 7,1

Vennligst følg de følgende instruksjoner for tilknytting av LCD monitoren til din
eksterne datamaskin

1. Forsikre Dem at LCD monitoren og datamaskinen er slått av.

2. Tilknyt strøm adapteret til strøm forsyneren; plugg den ende enden av AC strøm
adapteret til strøm forsyneren og den andre enden til en elektrisk sokkel. (1)

3. Tilknyt VGA kabelen til 15 pin utgangen på din eksterne datamaskin og skru om
skruene på VGA kabelen. (2)

4. Tilknyt Audio in kabelen til audio input pluggen på monitoren og Audio out
pluggen på din datamaskin. (3)

5. Tilknyt USB kablen til USB utgangen på din eksterne datamaskin. (4)

6. Tilknyt hodetelefonene til hodetelefon pluggen. (5)

7. Skru på Deres datamaskin og monitor.

NB! Vennligst konfigurer datamaskinens grafiske kort til en resolusjon på 1024 x 768
eller mindre. Dette vil forsikre at LCD monitoren og den eksterne datamaskinen er
maksimalt samkjørte.

ADVARSEL SIGNAL

Skulle det komme opp et advarsel signal på Deres LCD monitor vil dette indikere at
monitoren ikke kan motta signaler fra den eksterne datamaskinens grafiske kort.

Det er tre ulike situasjoner hvor det er sannsynlig at dette kan oppstå. Vennligst sjekk
at alle kabler er tilknyttet eller kontakt Deres lokale forhandler for ytterligere

Näytön käyttöönotto

Laitteiston käyttöönottamiseksi noudata seuraavia ohjeita annetussa
järjestyksessä.

1. Varmista, että laitteiston virta on katkaistu.

2. Kytke virtajohdon toinen pää laitteen virtaliittimeen; toinen pää muuntajan
virtaliittimeen, sekä kytke virtajohto pistorasiaan.

3. Liitä VGA-kaapeli tietokoneen 15-pinniseen liittimeen ja kiristä liittimen ruuvit.

4. Liitä Audio-kaapeli näytön Audio-sisääntuloporttiin sekä tietokoneen Audio­ulostuloporttiin.

5. Liitä USB-kaapeli tietokoneen USB-porttiin.

6. Liitä kuuloke Headphone (kuuloke) -porttiin.

7. Laita virta päälle tietokoneeseen ja näyttöön.

Huom: Jotta näyttö toimii tietokoneen kanssa asianmukaisesti,

näytönohjaimen resoluution tulisi olla > 1024 x 768 ja
virkistystaajuuden yhteensopiva LCD-näytön kanssa.

Virheilmoitukset

Joskus näytölle saattaa tulla virheilmoitus. Tämä tarkoittaa, että LCD-näyttö ei
pysty vastaanottamaan näytönohjaimen lähettämiä signaaleja täydellisesti.

Warranty conditions

Optoma warrants the "Pi Series" and its parts against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use
for the following periods of time Thirty Six months (the Warranty Period) from the original date of
purchase;

During this period, Optoma will repair or replace a defective "Pi Series" or part subject to the following warranty
conditions:-

1. The warranty applies only to the "Pi Series" distributed by Optoma or its authorised dealers.

2. The warranty applies only to defects in material or workmanship and does not include consumable parts
such as pens and cables. The warranty applies only to defects which occur during normal use and does
not extend to damage to the "Pi Series" or parts which results from:-

(a) alteration, repair, modification, faulty installation or service carried out by anyone other than an
authorised Optoma service centre;
(b) accident, neglect, warehousing or transportation, lightning or line surges;
(c) abuse, or misuse owing to failure to comply with the instruction booklet.

3. Optoma reserves the right to request a copy of the original bill of purchase or proof of purchase for
warranty repairs.

4. Any replacement parts provided in fulfilment of this warranty have a 3-month warranty or until the original
product warranty expires, whichever is the greater.

Obtaining Warranty or Out of Warranty Service

In the unlikely event of experiencing a defect with your product please make contact with your original point
of sale who will arrange for the product to be repaired.

Optoma reserves the right to either accept or reject out of warranty defective Product for repair purposes.
If Optoma accepts the out of warranty repair, the above procedures of warranty service must be adhered to.
