This manual is prepared for the maintena nce service f or PV632AT 12.1” LCD Monitor. Maintenance procedures described in this manual are intended to isolate faulty parts a nd replace them in the field. It also aims to serve as a guide in procuring replacement parts for this product.

CHAPTER 1
This manual provides an integral information you need to maintain the LCD Monitor, and the manual is applied to the model of 12.1” TFT 800*600 Analog Color LCD Monitor. There are ten topics in this manual, and you can immediately identity the prob­lem through the manual.
This manual is for the technicians and people who have the electronic background. Send the product back to the distributor for r epairing and do not attempt to do anything which is complex or isn’t mentioned in the Troubleshooting.

Note : SW = Swap Spare Parts, CM = Consume Spare Parts. You can place an order for swap or
consume spare parts to do replacement. Or just return swap spare parts back for repair, but consume spare parts is not acceptable for repair or return.
SW is repairable, when it’s defective please return back the def ective but complete parts to swap f or good parts. Regarding CM, it’s not repairable a nd you should give the order to do replacement and discard the defective parts directly.

CHAPTER 3
Disassembly Procedure
This section provides disassembly procedures for 12.1” TFT 800*600 Analog Color LCD Monitor. Before you begin any of these procedures, be sure to turn off the power, computer system, and other attached devices; then disconnect the power cable from the electronically outlet. Moreover, when you disassemble the monitor, be sure to put the screws in a safe place and separate them according to grouping.

1. Push the tab and remove Stand Cover.
2. Unscrew six screws of Rear Cover.
3. Turn the monitor over , take off Front Cover.

1. Unscrew four screws of Adapter Plates and tear off EMI tape.
2. Lift up Pa nel Module and unplug all the wires to remove LCD Panel Module.

4. Unscrew four screws of Panel to take off Adapter Plates.
5. Cut off the double tape around Touch Panel to separate Touch Panel from LCD Panel.
6. Turn LCD Panel over and unplug the wire.

Before function test and alignment, each LCD Monitor should be run-in and warmed-up for at least 12 hours with the following conditions:

7-4.1 All Mode Reset
Please press “3” and “4” functions on front bezel and trun on Power si multaneously and
keep unreleased for 2 seconds. Then, the screen will show “ALL MODES RESET”. This action will allow you to erase all end-user’s setings and restore the factory defaults.
7-4.2 Frequency and Tracking

v Check and see if the image sharpness and focus is well performed. v If not, readjust by the following steps :
(a) Select a nd enter “Frequency” function on “Advanced Menu” to adjust the screen
to full screen and to eliminate visual wavy noise.
(b) Then, select and enter “Track” function to adjust the i mage to eliminate visual noise.

7-4.8 Check for Secondary Display Mode s

800*600@56/60/72/75Hz v Normally when the primary mode 800*600@72 is well adjusted and compliant with the specification, the secondary display modes will be great possibile to be compliant with the spec. But we still have to check with the general test pattern to make sure every secondary is compliant with the specification.

7-4.9 All Mode Reset
After final QC step, we have to erase all saved changes again and restore the fa ctory defaults.
Please press “3” and “4” functions on front bezel and trun on Power simultaneously and keep unreleased for 2 seconds. Then, the screen will show “ ALL MODES RESET”. This action will allow you to erase all end-user’s setings and restore the factory defaults.

1. Save <BIOS.EXE> a nd Firmware under the same folder.
2. Run <Bios.exe> progra m in the computer.

4. Key in file name and save path of Firmware below Open Files, then press “Enter” key. It will show Input file OK! a nd CheckSum value in the middle window to mean success.
5. Select 3. Check Loader.
6. Press “MENU” key of PV632AT monitor a nd power on the monitor at the same time.
(If the procedure is right, the Power Indicate LED of PV632AT wouldn’t light.)
7. Press “Enter” key on the keyboard a nd “MENU” key of PV632AT monitor.
(If the procedure is right, Load OK! will show up.)
