utilizes a new revolutionary nano-technology media for eliminating lime-scale (CaCO
3
)
build-up in steam equipment. The
ScaleX2
media employs a new technique called “template-induced crystal-
lization.” Atomic level “nano-templates” on the surface of small ceramic polymer spheres transform dissolved
CaCO
3
(calcium carbonate) to a crystalline form. These crystals are relatively insoluble effectively isolating the
CaCO
3
from anything the water comes in contact with.
ScaleX2
does not remove calcium from water but simply prevents scale from forming in or on boilers, heating
elements and probes. This economical solution ts virtually all steam equipment, and in most cases only re-
quires once a year cartridge replacement.
