Your Optimus PRO-S WS300 Amplified Multimedia Subwoo fer Satellite Speak­er System is designed to complement your multimedia com puter. The speak­ers are magnetically shielded so you can safely place them next to your PC’s monitor.
The system can also transform your portable CD player or personal cassette player into a complete music system. This amplified speaker system is com­patible with any audio source having a

jack. The system’s 4-inch subwoofer and 3-
inch satellite speakers produce excel­lent stereo sound with powerful bass.
CONNECTING INPUTS
You can connect either of two optional input sources to the system:
• A computer’s sound card

non-directional, factors such as room acoustics, standing waves, reson ance, and absorption strongly affect your subwoofer’s performance. For maxi­mum bass output, place your subwoof­er in a corner. To reduce its output, move it away from corners and back walls. Even slightly moving the sub­woofer can have a major effect on bass response.

Connecting t o a Sound Card
You can connect the system to the au­dio output of a com puter’s sound card using the supplied Y-adapter cord.

Connecting to a Portable or Home Stereo System
You can conn ect the system to a porta­ble stereo system (such as a CD player or cassette player) using the supplied Y-adapter cord.
Connect the Y-adapter’s plug to the input source’s LINE OUT or headphone jack. Then connect the Y-adapter’s right (red) and left (white) phono plugs to the system’s

• If you use the input source’s LINE OUT jack, the source’s volume control has no effect. Use the sys­tem’s volume control.
• If you use the input source’s head­phone jack, you can use either the input source’s or the system’s vol­ume control.

Plug the power cord into a standard AC outlet.

MOUNTING THE SPEAKERS
Using a screw, you can mount t he sat­ellite speakers on a wall. Drive a #10 or larger screw into the wall. Then posi­tion the keyhole slot over the screw head and slide down t he speaker until it is secure.
