NOTE : The total num ber of speak ers multi plied by the ta p value cann ot exceed th e output pow er (in watts ) of the 70V
/100 V amplifie r. The ab ove exampl e shows 5 tota l spea kers. Usi ng the 16W taps , you will nee d an amplifi er with at
leas t (5) x (16) = 80W. A good rule o f thum b is to select an a mplifie r with 20% grea ter power ; in this case, a n amplifie r
that de livers ab out 100W.

1. When t he speak ers are in stalle d outdoo r, check tha t the wall s tructu re is reli able and t hat the sp eaker is f irmly
attac hed. The us er should be res ponsible for t his very thing .
2. Do not p lace the s peaker s on a turnt able or mo vable su pport.
3. Do not t ouch or bu mp the woo fer and tw eeter. If th ese are da maged, t he sound w ill be dis torted .
4. Do not l isten to s ound at a ve ry high le vel when y ou are cha nging th e input so urce (fo r exampl e, to tune F M /
CD) ins tallat ion or rem oval of ca bles sho uld make s ure that t he power a mp / ampli fier dev ice radi o is turne d off.

Conne ction
Use wir e on the bac k of the spe aker in th e output t ab of the am plifie r (or ampl ifiers o f radio) . The speak er wire is
on one si de red and o n the othe r one blac k. Conne ct to the re d side of th e amplif ier and sp eakers ( +) tab.
Conne ct one end o f the blac k side (-) i n the othe r tab. Con nect eac h speake r to make su re that is n ot (+,-)
inver ted pola rity. If the po larity of the sp eakers is reve rsed, the soun d will be unnatu ral and will pla y without
bass.
Depending on the type of installation, direct burial of the speaker wires from the amplifier to the loudspeakers may be
adequate, or the use of 12 ID conduit may be required for protecting the wires from possible physical damage if
future excavation or other alterations are anticipated in the area of the installation.
