1.3 Safe distances required for installation, high temperature and re protection
• Never install your appliance on a combustible surface (plastics, nylon, carton etc.)
• During operation the surfaces of the unit are hot!
• The unit must not be fully or partially covered with inammable materials, as overheating
can result in a re risk!
• This product is not designed to be used by children or persons with reduced physical or
mental ability or a lack of experience and knowledge, unless instruction regarding the product's use has been given by a person with responsibility for their safety or that this person
supervises operation. Children must be kept under supervision to ensure they do not play
with the product.
• The heater is equipped with a protective grill to prevent contact or to prevent large objects
from touching the hot lamp. The unit must not be used without this protective grill.
• Ensure that there are no inammable materials gathered on or close to the heater.
• The free space to the inammable material in the direction of radiation must be at least 1
meter.
• Do not place the heater directly under the electrical socket.
• The cable and plug must not be placed inside the hot radiant area.
• Do not stick anything into the protective grid.
• Do not make use of your heater to light up cigarette or similar materials.
WARNING – TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE
1. Do not place any objects such as furniture, papers, cloths, and curtains closer than 1m (3
feet) to the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear when the heater
is plugged in.
2. Do not place the heater near a bed because objects such as pillows or blankets can fall o
the bed and be ignited by the heater.
3. Always unplug the heater if it is not being used.
4. Avoid the use of an extension cord because the extension cord may overheat and cause
a risk of re. However, if you have to use an extension cord, the cord shall be 2mm (14 AWG)
minimum size and rated not less than 10A.
5. Do not operate within 7.6m (25 feet) of ammable material (gasoline, alcohol etc.)
6. Never block the front grill of the heater.
7. Never attempt to service the heater without disconnecting its power source.
