Hints for use
1. Standard work time for hot glue is about 30 seconds. Keep jounted parts pressed for 15 to 20 seconds. After 1 minute, the junction has attained 90% of bond strength.
2. Work time increases to 50 - 60 seconds if the glue has been dispensed in the form of large drop and diminishes if in thin lines.
3. Large surfaces are difficult to bond as glue tends to solidify before being spread on the entire surface.
4. Pre-heating of surfaces to bond and exposing them to sun light greatly enhance the adhesive strength. Thismethod is highly rexommended when joining metal parts.
5. Hot glue can be advantageously used instead of nails, fasteners or liquid adhesives. Do not use glue to bond load bearing parts.
6. Hot glue starts melting at approx. 140 F. Do not use on heat sensitive materials.
Suggestions
