MDVR OVERVIEW
The OpenEye BlackBerry MDVR software allows you to access your OpenEye recorder from almost anywhere using your BlackBerry mobile device. View live video of your cameras using a simple interface. This document describes how to connect to an OpenEye recorder using the MDVR BlackBerry app and view live video.

o G3 H.264 E-Series (v1.0.1.33+)

Internet connection to the recorder
Supported BlackBerry Models: Bold

DVR CONFIGURATION
Commercial Recorder (E-Series)
Verify that the E-Series recorder is connected to the network. Press Setup on the front panel or IR remote control, and then go to Network > Network Settings and verify the network settings. If you are accessing the recorder from outside your network (using 3G or public wi-fi), verify that the correct ports are forwarded to the DVR (the default ports necessary for remote connections are 2000 and 2002).
Professional Recorder (N, H, X-Series)
Verify that the recorder is connected to the network. Enter Setup on the recorder, and then click Network Setup to verify the network settings. If you are accessing the recorder from outside your network (using 3G or public wi-fi), verify that the correct ports are forwarded to the DVR (the default ports necessary for remote connections are 2000 and 2002).
DOWNLOADING THE APP
1. From your BlackBerry phone, tap the App World icon.
2. Tap Search and type OpenEye MDVR.
3. Follow the instructions to download and install the application.
4. When the application is successfully installed, the OpenEye icon will appear on the device.

ADDING A DVR SITE
1. Open the OpenEye MDVR program. Applications>MDVR.
2. Click the trackball to initialize the MDVR program.
3. Click the Blackberry Menu key.
4. Scroll to Add DVR and click the trackball.
5. Enter the DVR Site Name.
6. Select the Type of DVR; Professional Series or E-Series.
7. Enter the IP Address and Network Port (Remote Port) of the DVR. This information is located in Network Setup on the DVR.
8. Enter a User ID and Password. The User account must be one set up in User Management>Client on the DVR.
9. Highlight OK and click the trackball to accept.

CONNECTING TO A DVR
Note The BlackBerry MDVR software
requires an active data connection to connect to a recorder.
1. Open the OpenEye MDVR program. Applications>MDVR.
2. Click the trackball to initialize the MDVR program.
3. Click the trackball to bring up a list of DVR connections.
4. Select the DVR and click the trackball.
5. Scroll the trackball to the right, select a channel and click the trackball to connect.
USING MDVR
You can view a single camera from your connected recorders.
On the main screen, click the track ball and scroll to select the recorder from the SITE list. Then select the desired camera from the CH list.
