- This product is designed for household use only -
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS APPLIANCE.
2. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the appliance, including cord and plug, in water or other liquid.
3. Close supervision is necessary when appliance is used near children. This appliance is not recommended for use by children.
4. Unplug appliance from power outlet when not in use, before assembly or disassembly of parts, and before cleaning.
5. Do not operate any appliance with damaged cord or plug or after appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to OPEN COUNTRY® Factory Service Department for examination, repair or adjustment.
6. Do not place appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or heated oven.
7. Only use accessory attachments recommended by the manufacturer.
8. Do not use appliance outdoors or for other than intended use.
9. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or touch hot surfaces.
10. Do not operate the appliance continuously for more than 15 minutes. Allow the appliance to cool for 15 minutes before second operation.
11. Do not use appliance to grind frozen foods or bones.
12. Operate appliance only when all parts are fully engaged and tightened.
13. To reduce risk of injury and damage to appliance keep hands, hair, clothing and utensils away from moving parts during operation.
14. NEVER feed appliance by hand, always use the PUSHROD.
15. Place appliance on at and steady support surface when ready for use.
16. Do not use ngers to scrape food away from discharge disc while appliance is operating. Cut type injury may result.

Polarized Plug: This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider
than the other). To reduce risk of electric shock, plug is intended to t into polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not t fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied electrician. Do
not try to modify the plug in any way. Short Cord Instructions: A short power supply cord is provided to
reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.

LCD DISPLAY - shows the working time, operating temperature and grinding direction.
• Working Time shows the total time of operation from the start of your
grinding session. Time will reset when appliance is stopped or plug is removed from outlet.
• Grinding direction is shown by the arrow below the time.
• Operating temperature is the scale on the left. When temperatures exceed
normal operating range the scale will display the word “RESTART” and the appliance should be paused and allowed to cool. If operation is continued exceeding the ‘reset’ warning the scale will show the word “COOLING”
and will automatically shutdown until appliance has cooled sufciently.
INDICATOR light - when ashing shows that the appliance has power
and is ready to grind. Avoid any contact with blades or moveable parts.
If ashes during normal use, indicates the appliance is overheating and
should be stopped and allowed to cool. START/STOP button - press to activate or de-activate LCD panel.
PAUSE button - press to pause the grinding operation, press again to resume.
PROCESS button - press to begin forward grinding operation. REVERSE button - press to reverse motor direction to free stuck items.
