Model: DX-C140/C340/C540 or similar Chucking assembly.

After some use a unit may exhibit a squeal or rubbing like mechanical sound which also affects the operation of the unit.
Before assuming the problem as being the Pick-up please check the chucking assemblies as illustrated and make the
proper remedy.

Make sure clamper sits flat on to the CD. If it is not, check the plastic
housing that holds the magnet for any surface problem.

A Washer part #24506546 may be added on cam post as
seen. Then put some plastic grease and reassemble chucking
CAM and its drive gear. Make sure they rotate freely.

Do not grease belt or carousel table. If
that does not help, replace worm gear.
