ROOM AND SOUND
Thank you for purchasing ONIX products! We believe you will enjoy wonderful audio experience from this speaker quite much. First, we would like to suggest you might keep the carton and cloth bag for future possible shipping use.
Onix Concerto 1 focuses first on outstanding 2-channel sound staging, imaging, and balance, with additional crossover optimization suitable for reference multichannel systems. Intended to bridge the gap between the traditional listening room and the dedicated home-theater, the Onix Concerto 1 promises to offer performance and quality beyond your highest expectations.
Try to put your speaker along the long wall. Hard surface acts as reflectors of high frequencies. Uncovered floors, windowpanes and mirrors can dramatically affect the distribution of the higher frequencies. Obviously, if you detect reflections (loss of desirable stereo effect) of the higher frequencies and you suspect the floor may be responsible for it, placing a rug on the floor close to the speakers may solve the problem. If the window causes the reflections, drapes should help.
In the other side, the floor and walls act as extension of the speaker. They generally affect low frequency response. Placing the speakers in the corner of a room gives maximum bass response. Also with the speakers on the floor, maximum bass response is obtained. Bringing the speakers away from the walls decrease bass.
The distance between the two speakers should be approximately as long (rather a little bit shorter) as the distance between the speaker and the listener. In addition to possible imaging improvements, toe-in can also change your speaker's tonal balance. Enjoy experimenting!
CONNENTIONS
All connections should be made with the amplifier POWER OFF and the volume control set to zero.
Onix speakers feature two pair of heavy-duty gold-plated speaker terminal for connecting the speaker cable from your amplifier. The loudspeakers can be connected with every high-class amplifier and power amplifier. When connecting the speaker with the amplifiers, make sure that the positive terminal of the amplifier is connected with the positive terminal of the speaker (red color) and accordingly that the negative terminal of the amplifier

POSITION
In order to obtain a natural music reproduction, please take care that the distance between Reference speaker and back wall is at least 30cm. further more, at least 50cm between monitor and sidewall. The distance between the two speakers should be at least 150cm (must no less!).
ATTENTION !
All drivers in the Onix Evolution 2 loudspeakers can handle large dynamic peaks of power without damage.
However, damage may occur when the speakers are operated from those amplifiers that are highly distorted. Usually, some low power handling amplifiers are very easily driven into clipping levels. Even though the amplifiers are low power, the distorted waveforms can cause damage more so than high power handling

SERVICE INFORMATION
Loudspeakers are inherently reliable and rarely give trouble. It is important to remember that faults arising in any part of the audio system will be heard via the loudspeakers and therefore when faults occur, careful and analytical diagnosis will be required to locate the actual source of trouble.
Loudspeakers cannot generate hiss or hum. Spurious noises of this type generally originate in the electronics sections of the equipment or even in the programmed source itself. Faults in a loudspeaker will be audible on all programmed
A fault that is evident only when playing discs but not, for example, when using the radio tuner, it not likely to originate from the loudspeakers.
Service problems should be discussed in the first place with the dealer from whom the loudspeakers were originally purchased. Generally, your dealer best handles warranty claims. Please always feel free to contact our Customer Service Department.
Thank you, again!
