Selecting a wah wah mode
High - This position moves the wah filter to the high range of the guitar.
Notes on the G, B, and E strings will be accentuated. This setting is perfect
for leads or funky staccato chords.
Mid: Tunes the wah to cover the entire range of the guitar. In this mode, the filter is not so “peaky” and is a good
choice with clean guitars when you want a smooth and wide sweep. This mode also works well with distorted
rhythm chords and riffs.
Low: Moves the filter down to accentuate the lower strings of the guitar. This setting is perfect for use with
7-string guitars and bass guitars.
The Fat Boy with others effects:
In most cases, the best results will be achieved by putting effects in this order:
Before Fat Boy: Compressor and Overdrive.
After Fat Boy: Overdrive, Chorus, Delay, Reverb, Flanger, Phaser, Pitch Shifter, Octave, Tremolo.

Experiment with the mode selector in each position to find a tone to your taste. Bear in mind that different
pickups will respond in different ways in each mode setting.
When placing the pedal in a fixed position, you will get a boost in a particular frequency. You can use that to add
sustain and create a feedback of a particular overtone.
Tip: To avoid unexpected mechanical “pops” when changing modes, switch the pedal to BYPASS position.
Try also connecting your wah wah pedal after your effect pedals. The wah wah effect sounds different when used
after distortions and overdrives, compared with when it is used before them.
These connections won't cause any damage to your equipment, so don't be afraid and experiment!
To turn the wah wah effect ON, push the toe of the pedal all of the way down until your hear or feel a click.
A wah wah effect is an active sweepable bandpass filter.
With the heel down, low frequencies will be more accentuated. With the toe down, high frequencies will be more
accentuated.
To turn your wah wah pedal OFF, just push the toe of the pedal all of the way down until you hear or feel a little
click. This indicates that now you are working in bypass mode.

Warning
The input jack also serves as a power switch. Power is turned on when an instrument plug is inserted into the input jack and
is it turned off when disconnected. When this unit is not in use you should disconnect any cord connected to the input jack.
Care and Maintenace:
Use a soft, dry cloth for external cleaning. Do not use chemical products, which may damage its rubber and plastic parts.
The CB-01 wah wah pedal uses an internal long life potentiometer that controls the sweep of the wah wah filter.
It may eventually present unexpected noises due to dust and dirt accumulation. A “scraping” sound will become audible
through your amplifier.
If you experience this problem, try cleaning the potentiometer with a spray contact cleaner.
Just remove the back aluminum cover for potentiometer access. Apply a fine spray of electronic contact cleaner with
lubricant directly inside the potentiometer. Move pedal back and forth to ensure penetration of cleaner.
Put the aluminum plate back and test the pedal.
If the results are unsatisfactory, seek authorized service for potentiometer replacement.
Notes:
Only use reliable cords to connect your pedals.
Before powering your pedals, make all necessary linking connections. If you need to change any connection, do not forget to turn
the power off in order to prevent any possible damage to your units.
Only use regulated adaptors for best performance.
Do not worry if you accidentally change the input to output cord. This will not damage your unit. Just turn the power off and
reconnect it correctly.
