Congratulations
With the interface module EXT from
www. oneremote.dk connected to your
receiver and a Bang & Olufsen TV you can operate the receiver with your Bang & Olufsen remote control terminal.
This user guide tells you how.
Plug and Play
The TV-scart output on the receiver can be connected directly to a vacant link equip-ped AV socket on the Bang & Olufsen TV with the special EXT scart connection cable.
Connected in this way, the receiver can be used with any Bang & Olufsen TV, serving the TV with RGB signals and audio through the same cable.
Following the correct programming of the AV connection the receiver is ready to operate. For programming of t he AV connection, check the Bang & Olufsen TV User Manual.
Bang & Olufsen Remote Controls
With your beocompatible* receiver connected to a Bang & Olufsen TV you may operate it with a Bang & Olufsen Beo4 or Beo5 remote control.
Operation in a Beolink Videosystem
In a Bang & Olufsen Beolink videosystem full operability is ensured in all link rooms, via this solution.
*Beocompatible means that the equipment can be operated with a Bang & Olufsen remote control when connected to a Bang & Olufsen TV.

Installation – options.
The EXT controller can be programmed with different optio ns, for use in different setups. Programming of an option is usually done when installing the controller, not during daily use.
To programme an option, 5 keys must be pressed within 2 seconds.
Available options:
Menu button option.
Some B&O TV catches the Menu button, before the command is echoed out via the scart connector to the EXT controller. This gives a conflict as the TV’s menu is then being displayed instead of the receivers menu. In these cases the direct menu button should be deactivated.
eOr80 Deactivate Menu eOr81 Enable Menu
Power off option.
The receiver can power off when the TV is powered off. If the receiver is used in a setup with link rooms or recorders, this might not be practical. This option can deactivate automatic power off.
eOr70 Deactivate Poff eOr71 Activate Poff
Programme Zapping option
The yellow and blue buttons are being used as programme zapping buttons. In this way the up, down, left and right buttons are available in all menus as well as the programme zapping buttons.
This is the OneRemote layout and compatible with other OneRemote controllers. Some people might prefer to have the programme zapping buttons on the up and down buttons. This option exchanges the functions of the blue/ yellow and the up/ down buttons.

Operating with Beo4 or Beo5
Beo4 does not have as many keys as the receiver’s original remote control. Thus certain Beo4 keys have got alternative functionality. To get to this
Ohas to be
pressed first, i.e.
Ofollowed by 9 on
a Beo4 corresponds to power on the original remote control.
The table on page 4 shows how special Beo4 key operations translate to operations of the original remote control.
To be able to operate the receiver correctly with the Beo4 the user has to be familiar with operations with the original remote control as described in the receiver’s user manual.
The receiver is automatically turned on when selecting its source on the TV.
