Introduction
This parts manual applies to the standard Performer horizontal engine as listed in the Engine Data Table. Parts are
arranged in groups of related items and each illustrated part is identified by a reference number corresponding to the
same reference number in the parts list. Parts illustrations are typical. Throughout this manual, left and right sides are
determined by facing the oil cooler (front) end of the engine.
Using the MODEL and SPECIFICATION NUMBER from the nameplate, consult the SALES OPTION CODE T ABLE
in the back of the book to identify factory installed parts that are unique to your engine (Note: The diagonal line (/) in the
model and specification number separates engine characteristics from the specification number/letter. The specification number denotes customer requested features. The specification letter advances [A to B, B to C, etc] with major
manufacturing changes.)
