Always use t he Kettle on a dry, level surface we ll away from the edge o f any countertop.
Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use.
Do not op erate any appliance with a dam aged cord or

When using this appliance, provide adequate air space above and on all si des for circulation. Do not u se under cabinetry.
Do not over fill Kettle past the “MA X” fill line. Do not under-fill beneath the “MIN” line.
Do not all ow Kettle to boil dry.
Do not pla ce this appliance on or nea r a hot gas or
electric b urner, or where it could touch a hea ted oven.
Do not tou ch hot surfaces, inclu ding the glass or metal areas on the Ket tle or the inside of the base af ter use. Touch only the han dle and on/off button.
Handl e the Kettle with care at all time s. Do not use Kettle if it is cracked or ha ndle is loose.
Do not all ow glass kettle to come in contac t with hard or sharp materia l. The glass kettle is frag ile and can break if dropped or s truck with hard/sharp materi al.
Take care to keep fi ngers, hair, clothing, a nd other objects cl ear while removing the Kettl e from and returning it to th e base.
Do not let t he cord hang over the edge of a tabl e or counter where it c an be pulled on by children or t ripped over unintention ally. Do not let the cord hang over or touch hot surfaces or become knotted.
The use o f accessory attachm ents not recommended by the applian ce manufacturer may res ult in fire, electric shock or personal injury.
Close su pervision is necess ary when any appliance is used by or near c hildren.
Unplu g from outlet when not in use an d before cleaning. Allow to cool before p utting on or taking off p arts, and before cleaning the appliance.
Do not pu t any substances other tha n water and descalin g products into the Kettle. N ever attempt to cook or warm food in th e Kettle.
Always at tach plug to appliance fir st, then plug cord into the wall outlet . To disconnec t, turn any control to “off,” then remove plug f rom wall outlet.
WARNING! Shock Hazard: This appliance is equipped with a power cord that h as a grounding wire with grounding plug. The appliance must be grounded using a 3-hole prop erly grounded outlet. I n the event of an electric al short circuit, groun ding reduces the risk of electric sh ock. If the power outlet is a sta ndard 2-prong wall outlet, it is your personal responsibility and obligation to have it replaced wit h a properly grounded 3-p rong outlet. Do not, und er any circumsta nces, cut or remove the thir d (ground) prong fr om power cord or use ad aptor. Consult a qual ified electrician if th e grounding instructi ons are not complete ly understood, or if do ubt exists as to whether the appliance is properly grounded. Do not plug this applian ce into an outlet with a voltage oth er than specified o n the bottom of Kettle.
SHORT CORD STATEMENT
The length of t he cord used on this applian ce was selected to reduce the haz ards of becoming tangle d in, or tripping over a longer cord . If a longer cord is necess ary, an approved exten sion cord may be used. The el ectrical rating of the extensio n cord must be equal to or greate r than the rating of this appliance.
Care must be t aken to arrange the extensio n cord so that it will not drape ove r the countertop or tabletop wh ere it can be pulled on by ch ildren or tripped over.
To avoid an electric al circuit overload, do not us e any high wattage appliance on the same circuit as this appliance.
Do not tou ch the Kettle during a boilin g cycle. Scalding
may occur if the li d is removed/opened during the boiling cycles.
Do not use this appliance for other than its intended use.
Do not use outdoors.

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
always be followed to reduce the risk of re, electric shock, and/or
injury to persons, including the following:

1. Remove and recycle or discard all stickers, descriptive labels, cable ties and packing materials, including static stickers and hangtags with ties.
2. Wipe body of Kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Rinse inside and dry thoroughly.
CAUTION: Do not u se abrasive pads, ha rsh chemicals or s pray cleaner chemic als
to clean. These may damage the surface of the appliance.
3. Fill your Kettle with cold water to the “MAX” level, complete one boiling cycle, and then discard water.
1. Press button at top of handle to open lid, then
ll Kettle with water. Press lid closed.
2. Place Kettle securely on base.
3. Plug power cord into 110V outlet.
4. Turn Kettle on by pressing down
on the switch at the bottom of the handle. The switch will illuminate.

NOTE: Your Kettle wi ll operate only w hen it is positi oned on the power base with th e ON/OFF switch i n the ON positio n. Your Kettle will automati cally switch of f once the water ha s boiled.
1. Remove Kettl e from bas e.
2. Open lid by pres sing the li d-rele ase
button at top of handle. Verif y that the removable perforated stainless steel
lter is properly positioned in g uides .
3. Fill wi th water between the “ MIN” a nd “MAX” markings.
CAUTION: Under-filli ng could result i n Kettle switchi ng off before reaching a boil and/or overheating from boiling dry. Over-filling may result in boi ling water spla shing out of pou r spout, and co uld cause sc alding and ser ious injury. If ov er-filled, water m ay leak from the top a nd collect in th e base of the Kett le.
4. Press lid c losed an d positio n Kettle on base. Pl ug power cord into 110V ou tlet.
5. Turn Kettle o n by pressin g down on switch at bot tom of handle. The switch will illuminate to ind icate the Ket tle is “on.” The Kettle auto matical ly switches “off ” once the water boil s or when Kettle is removed f rom base.
NOTE: Kettle wil l boil for
20-30 seconds before automatically shutting off.
6. Wh en ready, lif t Kettle f rom base and pour wate r slowly.
NOTE:
Pouring w ater too quickly c an result in water c oming out of the l id.
The h andle and bot tom of the Kettle a re designed to s tay cool after
boiling to protect hands and kitchen surfaces from heat.
7. Insulate d bottom allows Kettle to be placed o n any surf ace when n ot on base .

The Particulars of Boiling Water Troubleshooting
Descaling
YOUR KET TLE WILL N OT WORK PRO PERLY IF IT IS N OT DESCA LED REG ULAR LY.
The warranty is void ed if desc aling is n ot carri ed out in accordance with these instruc tions.
Scale is a naturally occurri ng build up of mineral deposits. Th e ideal descalin g cycle depen ds on water hardness. Desc ale the Kettle every 60 u ses. Regular de scalin g can also increa se the ser vice life of the Kettle, a llowing it to b oil water fa ster with le ss energ y.
1. Fill Kettle with descaling sol ution and water to the “M AX” ma rking.
NOTE : Available where household cleaning products are sold; follow solution’s recommended use.
2. B ring solu tion to a boil .
3. Turn Kettle O FF, unplug from outlet a nd let sta nd for at le ast 30 min utes.
4. Remove mes h spout l ter and rin se clean .
5. Empt y Kettle an d rinse out any remain ing solution.
6. Fill Kettle with water to “MA X” mark ing, boil, and discard water before nex t use.

allow Kettl e to cool completely be fore storing. Follow cle aning in structions and s tore in an up right position. Th e cord wrap u nder the Kettle b ase can b e used for ti dy cord storage. Do no t store anything on top of your Kettle. The Kettl e may be store d on base wh en not in use.
