1.1 Notes on safety

safety and correct usage of the product as well as to pre­vent injuries and/or damage to properties.

- Application of electrodes near the thorax may
increase the risk of cardiac fibrillation.

Do not use this unit simultaneously with other thera­peutic device or in combination with ointments
including spraytype ointments.

May cause discomfort or ill health.

- Simultaneous connection of a PATIENT to a h.f. surgical
EQUIPMENT may result in burns at the site of the STIMULA­TOR electrodes and possible damage to the STIMULATOR.

- Operation in close proximity (e.g. 1 m) to a shortwave or
microwave therapy EQUIPMENT may produce instability
in the STIMULATOR output.

Do not use this unit for purposes other than treat­ment indicated in this manual.

May lead to accident, problems, or failure of the unit.

Do not insert the electrode cord plug into any place
other than the electrode cord jack of the main unit.

May cause an electric shock or accident.

Do not disassemble or remodel this unit.

May cause fire, trouble, or accident.

CAUTION

If the unit is not functioning properly or you feel dis­comfort, immediately stop using the unit.

If you feel any problems with your body or skin, consult
the doctor and follow his/her instructions.

If you want to move the Electrode Pad to another
region or your body during treatment, be sure to turn
off the power.

If not, you may receive a strong electrical shock.

Do not try to attach the Pads to any other person
during the treatment.

You may receive strong electrical shock.

Do not start treatment while wearing an electronic
device.

The settings and timings of the device may be affected.

Do not use this unit on infants or people not capable
of expressing their intentions.

May cause an accident or ill health.

Do not use this unit in places with high humidity
such as bathrooms or while taking a bath or shower.

You will receive a strong electrical shock.

Do not use this unit while sleeping.

The main unit may develop trouble, or the pad may move
to an unexpected region and cause ill health.

Do not use this unit while driving.

Receiving sudden strong stimulation may lead to traffic
accident or trouble.

Do not leave the Electrode Pad attached to the skin
after treatment.

Prolonged attachment may cause skin irritation or infec­tion.

Be careful not to allow any metal object, such as a
belt buckle or necklace to come into contact with the
Electrode Pad during treatment.

You may receive a strong electrical shock.

Do not use cellular phones or other electronic
devices near this unit.

Do not use this unit to treat one region for a long
time (more than 30 minutes).

The muscles of the region under treatment may be
exhausted and may cause poor physical condition.

General information on OMRON E2 ELITE Electronic Nerve Stimulator

The OMRON E2 ELITE Electronic Nerve Stimulator
is an electro-therapeutic device.

The E2 ELITE Electronic Nerve Stimulator enables you to
reduce and relieve your pain symptoms. The treatment allevi­ates muscle and nerve pain through gentle stimulation. But
always remember that pain also has a very important warning
function, telling us that something is wrong. If you suffer from
any serious illness, consult your doctor in order to confirm
whether you can use the Electronic Nerve Stimulator.
For active people, it provides a massaging experience which
has a very beneficial effect on muscle and shoulder or neck
stiffness. It is very good for soothing overall bodily fatigue and
improves the blood circulation in the treated areas.

Our nerves, which radiate throughout the entire body as a
complex network, perform various tasks which are indispens­able for maintaining proper functioning. They conduct
impulses between the central nervous system and an organ or
a part of the body. They also transmit commands from and to
the brain, and they regulate the body’s functions, as well as
muscle contraction and relaxation. Using this method of Elec­trical Nerve Stimulation, the important nerve functions can be
activated effectively. The electrical impulses, which are com­parable to the natural bioelectricity, stimulate the body’s pain­relieving mechanisms. In this way, the transmission of pain by
the nerve fibres is inhibited and secretion of pain-relieving,
morphine like substances such as endorphins, are triggered.
Furthermore, the blood flow through the treated body zones is
improved.

1.3 Features of the product

• 9 Automatic Programmes

The device allows you to select your favourite stimulation pro­gramme for optimized treatment according to your symptom
and needs.

Quick RELIEF Button (for muscle pain)

This function relieves acute pain quickly with high frequency of
1200 Hz. It is suitable for treatment of pain in the lower back
and joints.

REGION Button (4 programmes for shoulders, sole, calf,
and lower back)

Treats the selected region with effective pre-programmed
modes.

MASSAGE Button (4 programmes for Tapping, Kneading,
Pushing, and Rubbing)

Allows you to select the massage method according to your
needs.

• 4 Special Modes

Allows you to adjust the unit to your favourite stimulations.
Use the Special Modes of SOFT, REPEAT, POINT, WIDE and
Balance Adjustment (switching between red and
white buttons) in combination with the Automatic programme
to receive treatment in your favourite stimulation mode.

• Washable and long-lasting Long-Life Pads

1.4 Intended use

Medical Purpose

This Electronic Nerve Stimulator is intended to be used as a
massager to relieve (muscle) pain, stiffness and fatigue. The
massaging effect is achieved by electronic stimulation of the
nerves through electrode pads placed on the skin. Various
massage regions and treatment programs can be selected.

(This unit should not be used by people prohibited from doing
so in “Notes on safety”.)

What is frequency?

Frequency is the number of times electric stimulation is
applied to the body per second and is represented by a unit
called Hertz (Hz).

I. What is Low Frequency?

Although we do not notice it, our bodies generate very weak
electricity from various parts of the body including the brain,
heart, muscles, and nerves. This electricity is called bioelec­tricity. The bioelectricity plays an essential role for the normal
functioning of our bodies. Our bodies sensitively react to elec­tric stimulation applied from the outside and cause various
changes. The method to treat abnormality of bioelectricity,
which is manifested as stiffness or pain, by effectively using
the above mentioned action is called electrotherapy of which
low-frequency therapy is typical.

Effects of low frequency stimulation

Low-frequency stimulation is effective in relieving symptoms
of chronic pain, stiffness and numbness. It is said to have the
effects to activate secretion of pain surpressing substances or
to improve the blood circulation.

Mechanism of low-frequency electrotherapy

- Pumping action of muscles -

Muscles contract and relax with the flow of the low-frequency
current. When the muscle relaxes, a large amount of blood
flows in, and when the muscle contracts, the blood containing
wastes is pumped out. With repeated actions, the blood flows
smoother and the blood circulation is improved.

Shutting out pain signal

When low-frequency current flows to the region experiencing
pain, it acts on the transmission mechanism of pain.
Thus low-frequency current is said to reduce the transmission
of pain to the brain.

II. What is High Frequency?

- as used for the “Quick Relief” function -

High frequency stimulation is effective for acute (nerve) pain
and is said to be especially useful in the immediate blockage
of pain transmission compared to low-frequency stimulation.

Standard treatment time

Long-time treatment and strong stimulation may cause mus­cular fatigue and may generate adverse effects. In order to
avoid excessive treatment, this model is made to turn off the
power automatically after 15 minutes.

2.1 How to insert batteries

1. Turn the Intensity Adjustment Dial/Power Switch to the

“OFF” position.

2. Open battery cover on the back of the

main unit.

3. Insert batteries according to the

polarities (+ and -) shown in the bat­tery compartment.

4. Close the battery cover.

2.2 How to connect the electrode cord

1. Turn the Intensity Adjustment Dial/

Power Switch to the “ ” position.

2. Insert the Electrode Cord Plug into

the Electrode Cord Jack on the
main unit.

3. Connect the Electrode Cord to the

Long Life Pads.

Place the Pads on a flat surface
and securely connect the Elec­trode Cord Plugs to the Pads.

* Although Electrode Cord Plugs

are provided in red and white,
either plug can be connected
with one of the Pads irrespec­tive of color.

Standard for battery replacement
If you feel the massage stimulation is weak, the batter-

ies may be worn. Replace the batteries with new ones.

General advice from OMRON on the handling of batteries

• The supplied batteries are for the trial use only and may
wear out in less than three months.

• Replace the worn batteries with new ones immediately.

• If you are not going to use the unit for more than three
months, remove the batteries.

• If you leave the unit without using it for a long time when
the batteries are included inside, leakage from the batter­ies may occur.

• Do not use new and worn batteries together or different
types of batteries together.

• Insert the batteries with the polarities (+ and –) in correct
alignment.

• When handling the batteries, be sure to read the notes
on the batteries.

• Dispose of the used batteries according to the applicable
local regulations.

When using the unit for the first time

Take out the Pads from the clear plastic bag.
* Do not peel off the clear film attached to the Pad at this

time.

General advice from OMRON on the handling of Electrode Cord

• Avoid excessive bending and pulling of the Electrode
Cord.

• Hold the Electrode Cord Plug when unplugging the Elec­trode Cord from the Main Unit.

• If the Electrode Cord is torn or has a problem, please
contact the store where you purchased the unit or at the
nearest OMRON dealer.

2.3 How to attach the electrode pads

Attach each Pad to the region you want to treat without
bending it.

* It may be difficult for you to attach

the Pads on your back such as
shoulders or lower back. It is a good
idea to ask someone to help you.

2.4 Examples of application

Shoulders

Stiff shoulders are presumably caused by blood congestion of
trapezius muscle that moves shoulders, compression of
nerves by the accumulation of fatigue substances, or poor
blood circulation of subcutaneous tissues such as muscles.
Attach the Pads symmetrically on the region of stiff shoulders
with the backbone as the center.

Sole

Chilly feeling is presumably caused by poor blood circulation
in the limbs when the nerves are out of balance.
Swelling and fatigue of feet is presumably caused by the poor
reflux of blood and body fluid. Attach one Pad to the sole and
another one to the calf.

When using the unit for the first time

A clear plastic film is attached to the
Pads.
As the Pads have strong adhesive­ness, peel off the clear plastic film
from the Pads and attach the Pads
to the region you want to receive
treatment.
* Discard the peeled off clear film

as it should not be used anymore.

Attach the Pads close to the skin.
* If the Pads comes off from the skin, the unit is turned

off automatically in approximately 7 seconds.

General Advice from OMRON on the handling of Pads

• Do not place pads stacked on each other.

• Do not bend the Pads.

• Do not touch the adhesive surface with your fingers.

• When you perspire after taking a bath or immediately
after exercising, wipe your sweat off the region you want
to treat before using the unit.

• If a Pad attaches to cloth or other material and does not
come off easily, do not force it off. Instead, moisten the
back of the cloth to which the Pad is attached with a
small amount of water, and then the Pad will come off
easily.

• When the adhesive property of Pad drops, take appropri­ate measures as necessary.

• If you are going to use a wet Pad (see Section 3, Mainte­nance) or the Pad immediately after it is washed, let it dry
sufficiently. Especially let the adhesive surface air-dry.

Calf

Swelling and fatigue of the Calf is presumably caused by con­gestion of blood and accumulation of fatigue substances in
that region. Attach the Pads to upper and lower calf.

Waist (Lower Back)

Back pain is caused by various reasons. The type of back pain
that can be treated by low-frequency therapy includes stiff­ness of the lower back, muscle pain, and neuralgia (nerve
pain).
Attach the Pads symmetrically to the regions you feel pain with
the backbone as the center.

2.5 How to treat

1. Turn on the power.

Rotate the Intensity
Dial/Power Button
downwards.

When you hear a click,
the power is turned on
and the treatment
starts.

* When you use the

unit for the first time,
the Shoulder light
will flash and WIDE
will be displayed.
When you use the
unit for the second
time and after, the Buttons you used in the previous treat­ment will flash.

2. Select one treatment method.

– Treat with the Massage Button (Refer to page 11.)
– Treat with the Quick Relief Button (Refer to page 12.)
– Treat with the Region Button (Refer to page 12.)

This section explains the treatment procedure and the
entire operation flow from turning on the power to stor­ing of the unit.

Three treatment methods are available. Select your
favourite one to receive treatment.

– Treat with the Quick Relief Button

When you want to relieve severe acute pain promptly.

– Treat with the Region Button

When you want to treat the selected region of the shoul­der, soles, calves and lower back (waist) with the effective
program.

– Treat with the Massage Button

When you want to treat the region according to your
symptom and favourite operation by selecting the mas­sage method from Tapping, Kneading, Pushing, and Rub­bing.

Have you connected the Electrode Cord? (Refer to
page 8.)

Have you attached the Pads to the regions you want to
receive treatment? (Refer to page 9.)

If the Pads come off

If the Pads come off from the skin, the power will be
turned off automatically in approximately 7 seconds. Turn
the Power to OFF, then re-attach the Pads correctly and
turn on the power again.

Select your favorite

to 10 by rotating the
Intensity Dial/Power
Button.

Standard for treat­ment.

Duration: 10 to 15

minutes per region for
each treatment.

Number of treat­ment times: Once or

twice a day.
Intensity: As high as you feel comfortable when using this
unit.

4. When the treatment

ends, turn off the
power.

Rotate the Intensity
Dial/Power Button
upwards. When you
hear a click, the
power is turned off.

* The power will be

turned off automati­cally in approxi­mately 15 minutes
after the treatment
starts. Even when
the power is turned
off automatically,
turn off the Intensity Dial/Power Button. Otherwise, the
batteries will wear out slightly faster.

5. Store the unit.

* If you leave the Pads as they are, they will become dirty

or the adhesiveness will deteriorate. When the treatment
ends, attach the Pads to the Electrode Holder for stor­age. (Refer to page 13.)

How to treat

When Shoulder is selected

How to use the Special
Mode

You can use this Mode
when you want to adjust
the stimulation to your
favourite one according to
the stiffness or the pain.
You can use this Mode in
combination with all Auto­matic Programmes.

* The Button you have

selected will be flashing.

* To stop the function you

selected, push the But­ton again.



If you feel irritation:

Use the Soft Mode.

The unit relieves
stiffness with soft
stimulations with­out causing irrita­tion.



If you want to repeatedly
use only your favourite
stimulation:

Use the Repeat Mode.

The unit repeats your
last selected stimulation.

1. Turn off the Power and

remove the Electrode
Cord Plug from the Main
Unit.

2. Peel off the Pads.

* Hold the Tab to peel off

the Pads without touch­ing the adhesive sur­face.

3. Lightly attach the Pads to

the Electrode Holder.
* You may leave the Elec-

trode Cord connected to
the Pads as it is.

* Do not press the Pads

hard to the Electrode
Holder. It may cause the
adhesive surface to be
damaged.

* Keep the Electrode Holder clean.

4. Bundle the Electrode

Cord and wrap it around
the Electrode Holder.

Cord loosely.

5. Store the Main Unit and

the Electrode Holder in
the Soft Fabric Pouch.

When the Pads are poorly maintained, they will become
dirty or the adhesiveness will deteriorate. When the
treatment ends, attach the Pads to the Electrode Holder
and store them.

3.1 When it is difficult to attach the pads

1. Turn off the power, then remove the Electrode Cord from

the Pad.

2. Wash the Pad softly with

your fingertips under
slow running cold water
for several seconds.

3. Sufficiently dry the Pads and let

the adhesive surface airdry.
* Do not wipe the adhesive sur-

face with a tissue paper or a
cloth. If a tissue paper is
adhered to the adhesive sur­face by accident, do not try to
peel it off. Instead, moisten the
tissue paper with a small
amount of water, and then it
will come off easily.

4. Lightly attach the Pad to the

Electrode Holder for storage.
(Refer to page 13.)

3.2 How to clean and store

How to clean the Unit

• Keep the unit clean all the
time.

• Be sure to turn off the Power
and remove the Electrode
Cord from the Main Unit
when cleaning the unit.

• Wipe off stains on the Main
Unit with a soft cloth.

• If the unit is heavily stained, wipe it with a cloth moistened
with water or detergent. Wipe off the unit with a dry cloth.
* Be careful so that no water should get into the Main Unit.

Notes on care and storage

• Do not use benzine, thinner, or
gasoline to clean the unit.

• Do not store the unit under high
temperature, high humidity, and
direct sunshine, or where there is a
lot of dust and/or corrosive gas.

• Keep the unit out of reach of
children.

• If you are not going to use the
unit for more than three
months, store the unit after
removing the batteries.
* If you do not observe the

above-mentioned notes or
correct use of the unit,
OMRON cannot take respon­sibility on quality of the unit.

Wash the Pads when the adhesive surface becomes
dirty and the Pads are difficult to attach.
– Wash the Pads after every thirty uses. Pads can be

washed approximately ten times.

– Pads are consumables. Purchase the optional Pads

when the adhesive surface is damaged. (Refer to
page 17.)

* The life of Pads may vary by the frequency of wash,

skin condition, and storage state.

General advice from OMRON on the handling of Pads

• Do not use hot water, detergent, or chemicals such as
thinner or benzine.

• Do not scratch the adhesive surface with your nail or a
brush.

• Do not wash the Pads too long or too frequently.

• Do not store the Pads under high temperature, high
humidity, and direct sunshine.
* The adhesive surface may be damaged and the Pads

may last shorter.

* If the adhesive surface becomes sticky or the Pad

peels off, leave the Pad in the refrigerator (do not
freeze) overnight. The adhesion may be restored.

Important information regarding Electro Magnetic Com­patibility (EMC)

With the increased number of electronic devices such as PC.s
and mobile (cellular) telephones, medical devices in use may
be susceptible to electromagnetic interference from other
devices.
Electromagnetic interference may result in incorrect operation
of the medical device and create a potentially unsafe situation.
Medical devices should also not interfere with other devices.

In order to regulate the requirements for EMC (Electro Mag­netic Compatibility) with the aim to prevent unsafe product sit­uations, the EN60601-1-2:2007 standard has been imple­mented. This standard defines the levels of immunity to
electromagnetic interferences as well as maximum levels of
electromagnetic emissions for medical devices.

This medical device manufactured by OMRON Healthcare
conforms to this EN60601-1-2:2007 standard for both immu­nity and emissions.
Nevertheless, special precautions need to be observed:
Do not use mobile (cellular) telephones and other devices,
which generate strong electrical or electromagnetic fields,
near the medical device.
This may result in incorrect operation of the unit and create a
potentially unsafe situation.
Recommendation is to keep a minimum distance of 7 m. Verify
correct operation of the device in case the distance is shorter.

Le neurostimulateur électronique E2 ELITE
d’OMRON est un dispositif pour électrothérapie.

Le neurostimulateur électronique E2 ELITE permet de dimi­nuer et de soulager les symptômes douloureux. Le traitement
permet d’atténuer la douleur musculaire et nerveuse par sti­mulation douce. Toujours garder à l’esprit que la douleur joue
un rôle très important d’avertissement en nous indiquant un
problème. En cas de maladie grave, consulter le médecin
pour savoir si vous pouvez ou non utiliser le neurostimulateur
électronique.
Le neurostimulateur masse les personnes actives en atté­nuant très efficacement la raideur des muscles et des épaules
ou du cou. Il est idéal pour soulager la fatigue corporelle géné­rale et améliore la circulation sanguine dans les régions trai­tées.

Nos nerfs, qui forment un réseau complexe dans tout le corps,
accomplissent diverses tâches indispensables pour assurer
un bon fonctionnement continu. Ils conduisent les impulsions
entre le système nerveux central et un organe ou une partie
du corps. Ils servent également à transmettre les commandes
du et vers le cerveau, et ils régulent les fonctions du corps
ainsi que la contraction et la relaxation des muscles. La
méthode de neurostimulation électronique permet d’activer

Qu’est-ce que la fréquence ?

La fréquence correspond au nombre d’applications de la sti­mulation électrique au corps par seconde et est représentée
par une unité appelée Hertz (Hz).

I. Qu’est-ce que la basse fréquence ?

Bien que nous n’en soyons pas conscients, différentes parties
de notre corps génèrent une infime quantité d’électricité (par
exemple, le cerveau, le coeur, les muscles et les nerfs). On
parle de bioélectricité. La bioélectricité joue un rôle essentiel
dans le fonctionnement normal du corps. Notre corps réagit
avec sensibilité à une stimulation électrique délivrée par une
source externe en entraînant plusieurs changements. La
méthode destinée à traiter les manifestations anormales de la
bioélectricité, qui se traduisent pas une raideur ou une dou­leur, en recourant efficacement à l’action susmentionnée est
appelée électrothérapie, généralement sous la forme d’une
thérapie basse fréquence.

Effets de la stimulation basse fréquence

La stimulation basse fréquence est efficace pour soulager les
symptômes de la douleur chronique, de la raideur et de
l’engourdissement. Elle est censée activer la sécrétion de
substances qui suppriment la douleur ou améliorer la circula­tion sanguine.

Mécanisme de l’électrothérapie basse fréquence

- Action de pompage des muscles -

Les muscles se contractent et se relâchent avec le flux du
courant basse fréquence. Lorsque le muscle se relâche, une
grande quantité de sang entre et lorsque le muscle se
contracte, le sang qui contient des déchets est pompé. Après
plusieurs pompages, le sang circule plus facilement et la cir­culation sanguine est améliorée.

Blocage du signal de douleur

Lorsque le courant basse fréquence est envoyé vers la région
douloureuse, il agit sur le mécanisme de transmission de la
douleur.
Le courant basse fréquence réduit ainsi la transmission de la
douleur au cerveau.

II. Qu’est-ce que la haute fréquence ?

- utilisée pour la fonction Soulagement rapide -

La stimulation haute fréquence est efficace pour la douleur
aiguë (nerveuse) et est tout particulièrement utile pour blo­quer immédiatement la transmission de la douleur par com­paraison avec la stimulation basse fréquence.

Temps de traitement standard

Un traitement longue durée et une stimulation intense
peuvent entraîner une fatigue musculaire et générer des
effets indésirables. Afin d’éviter un traitement trop long, ce
modèle a été conçu pour s’arrêter automatiquement après 15
minutes.

2.1 Insertion des piles

1. Tourner le bouton de réglage de l’intensité/d’alimentation

en position « ARRÊT ».

2. Ouvrir le couvercle du compartiment

des piles situé au dos de l’unité prin­cipale.

3. Introduire les piles en respectant les

polarités (+ et -) indiquées dans le
compartiment des piles.

4. Fermer le couvercle du compartiment

des piles.

2.2 Branchement du câble d’électrode

1. Tourner le bouton de réglage de

l’intensité/d’alimentation en posi­tion « ».

2. Introduire la prise du câble d’élec-

trode dans la prise jack pour câble
d’électrode de l’unité principale.

3. Connecter le câble d’électrode aux

coussinets longue durée.

Recommandation pour le remplacement des piles
Si la stimulation de massage est faible, il est possible

que les piles soient déchargées. Remplacer les piles
par des piles neuves.

Conseils généraux d’OMRON sur l’utilisation des piles

• Les piles fournies sont destinées uniquement à l’utilisa­tion d’essai et peuvent se décharger en l’espace de trois
mois.

• Remplacer immédiatement les piles usagées par de nou­velles piles.

• Si l’unité ne doit pas être utilisée pendant plus de trois
mois, retirer les piles.

• Si les piles sont laissées dans l’unité alors que celle-ci ne
doit pas être utilisée pendant une période prolongée, les
piles risquent de fuir.

• Ne pas utiliser simultanément des piles neuves et usa­gées ou différents types de pile ensemble.

• Introduire les piles en respectant les polarités (+ et –).

• Lire les indications mentionnées sur les piles.

• Mettre les piles usagées au rebut conformément aux
réglementations locales en vigueur.

En cas d’utilisation de l’unité pour la première fois

Sortir les coussinets de la poche en plastique transparent.
* Ne pas détacher le film transparent apposé sur le coussi-

net à ce stade.

Conseils généraux d’OMRON sur l’utilisation du câble d’électrode

• Éviter de courber et de tirer excessivement le câble
d’électrode.

• Tenir la prise du câble d’électrode lorsque vous décon­nectez le câble d’électrode de l’unité principale.

• Si le câble d’électrode est déchiré ou défectueux, contac­ter le magasin où vous avez acheté l’unité ou le reven­deur OMRON le plus proche.

2.3 Fixation des coussinets d’électrode

Fixer chaque coussinet sur la région que vous souhaitez
traiter sans le courber.

* Vous pouvez avoir des difficultés à

apposer les coussinets sur votre dos
(épaules ou lombaires). Demander à
une personne de vous aider.

2.4 Exemples d’application

Épaules

La raideur des épaules est vraisemblablement causée par la
congestion sanguine des trapèzes qui font bouger les
épaules, les nerfs comprimés par l’accumulation de subs­tances entraînant la fatigue, ou une mauvaise circulation san­guine des tissus sous-cutanés tels que les muscles.
Apposer les coussinets symétriquement sur la région des
épaules raides en prenant la colonne vertébrale comme
repère central.

Plante des pieds

La sensation de froid est vraisemblablement causée par une
mauvaise circulation sanguine des membres lorsque les
nerfs ne sont plus équilibrés.
Le gonflement et la fatigue des pieds sont vraisemblablement
causés par un mauvais reflux du sang et du liquide orga­nique. Apposer un coussinet sur la plante des pieds et un
autre sur le mollet.

En cas d’utilisation de l’unité
pour la première fois

Un film plastique transparent est
fixé aux coussinets.
Comme les coussinets ont un fort
pouvoir adhésif, détacher le film
plastique transparent des coussi­nets et apposer ces derniers sur la
région à traiter.
* Mettre au rebut le film transparent

détaché car il ne doit plus être uti­lisé.

Apposer les coussinets sur la peau.
* Si les coussinets se détachent de la peau, l’unité

s’arrête automatiquement après 7 secondes environ.

Conseils généraux d’OMRON sur l’utilisation du coussinet

• Ne pas superposer les coussinets.

• Ne pas courber les coussinets.

• Ne pas toucher la surface adhésive avec les doigts.

• En cas de transpiration après un bain ou immédiatement
après un effort, essuyer la transpiration de la région à
traiter avant d’utiliser l’unité.

• Si un coussinet adhère à un vêtement ou à un autre sup­port et qu’il ne s’enlève pas facilement, ne pas le déta­cher en forçant. Humidifier légèrement le dos du
vêtement auquel est fixé le coussinet avec de l’eau, et le
coussinet devrait venir facilement.

• Lorsque le coussinet a perdu son adhésivité, prendre les
mesures qui s’imposent.

• Avant d’utiliser un coussinet mouillé (voir la section 3,
Entretien) ou utiliser un coussinet immédiatement après
qu’il ait été lavé, le laisser sécher suffisamment. Plus parti­culièrement, laisser la surface adhésive sécher à l’air.

Mollet

Le gonflement et la fatigue du mollet sont vraisemblablement
causés par la congestion du sang et l’accumulation de subs­tances entraînant la fatigue dans cette région. Apposer les
coussinets sur le mollet supérieur et le mollet inférieur.

Taille (lombaires)

La douleur lombaire s’explique par diverses raisons. Le type
de douleur lombaire pouvant être traité par la thérapie basse
fréquence inclut la raideur des lombaires, la douleur muscu­laire et la névralgie (douleur nerveuse).
Apposer les coussinets symétriquement sur les régions dou­loureuses en prenant la colonne vertébrale comme repère
central.

2.5 Traitement

1. Mettre l’unité sous

réglage de l’intensité/

Pour traiter la région en fonction de vos symptômes et de
votre traitement favori en sélectionnant la méthode de

Si les coussinets se détachent

Si les coussinets se détachent de la peau, l’unité est auto­matiquement arrêtée après 7 secondes environ. Mettre le
bouton d’alimentation sur ARRÊT, puis apposer de nouveau
les coussinets correctement et remettre l’unité sous tension.

5. Stocker l’unité.

ou leur adhésivité se détériorera. À la fin du traitement,
fixer les coussinets sur le porte-électrodes pour les stoc­ker. (Se référer à la page 29.)

2.6 Après le traitement – Stockage de l’unité

1. Arrêter l’unité et débran-

3.1 En cas de difficultés pour apposer les coussinets

1. Arrêter l’unité, puis débrancher le câble d’électrode du

coussinet.

2. Laver le coussinet dou-

cement du bout des
doigts sous un mince
filet d’eau froide cou­rante pendant plusieurs
secondes.

3. Sécher suffisamment les cous-

sinets et laisser la surface adhé­sive sécher à l’air.

* Ne pas essuyer la surface

adhésive avec un papier en
tissu ou un chiffon. Si un
papier en tissu adhère à la
surface adhésive par accident,
ne pas essayer de le détacher.
Humidifier légèrement le
papier en tissu avec de l’eau
afin de le détacher facilement.

4. Fixer légèrement le coussinet

sur le porte-électrodes pour le
stocker. (Se référer à la
page 29.)

3.2 Nettoyage et stockage

Nettoyage de l’unité

• Garder constamment l’unité
propre.

• Veiller à arrêter l’unité et à
débrancher le câble d’élec­trode de l’unité principale lors
du nettoyage de l’unité.

• Enlever les taches sur l’unité
principale avec un chiffon
doux.

• Si l’unité est trop tachée, l’essuyer avec un chiffon légère­ment humidifié d’eau ou de détergent. Essuyer l’unité avec
un chiffon sec.
* Veiller à ce que l’eau ne pénètre pas dans l’unité princi-

pale.

Remarques sur l’entretien et le
stockage

• Ne pas utiliser de benzène, de diluant ou
d’essence pour nettoyer l’unité.

• Ne pas stocker l’unité dans un endroit sou­mis à une température et une humidité éle­vées, ni sous la lumière directe du soleil, ou comportant une
quantité importante de poussière et/ou des gaz corrosifs.

• Conserver l’unité hors de por­tée des enfants.

• Si l’unité ne doit pas être utilisée
pendant plus de trois mois, reti­rer les piles avant de la stocker.
* En cas de non respect des

remarques susmentionnées
ou d’utilisation inappropriée
de l’unité, OMRON ne saurait
être tenue pour responsable
des performances de l’unité.

Laver les coussinets lorsque leur surface adhésive est
sale et qu’ils sont difficiles à apposer.
– Laver les coussinets après trente utilisations. Les

coussinets peuvent être lavés environ dix fois.

– Les coussinets sont des consommables. Acheter les

coussinets en option lorsque leur surface adhésive
est détériorée. (Se référer à la page 33.)

* La durée de vie des coussinets peut varier en fonction

de la fréquence de lavage, de l’état de la peau et des
conditions de stockage.

Conseils généraux d’OMRON sur l’utilisation des coussinets

• Ne pas utiliser de l’eau chaude, de détergent ou de pro­duits chimiques comme un diluant ou du benzène.

• Ne pas gratter la surface adhésive avec un ongle ou une
brosse.

• Ne pas laver les coussinets trop longtemps ni trop fré­quemment.

• Ne pas stocker les coussinets dans un endroit soumis à
une température et une humidité élevées, ni sous la
lumière directe du soleil.
* La surface adhésive risque d’être endommagée et la

durée de vie des coussinets risque d’être réduite.

* Si la surface adhésive est sale ou si le coussinet se

détache, le laisser au réfrigérateur (et non au congéla­teur) pendant une nuit. Il est possible que son adhésivité
revienne.
