7) INSTALLING ASSORTED UNITS TO THE SHELF
Any three types of assorted units can be mounted to the shelf.
In order to mount the module/chassis to the shelf, make sure the proper wall mount brackets (not included) are installed on the module/chassis.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The 1U 19” rack mount shelf accommodates iConverter standalone media converters,
iConverter 1-Module chassis, iConverter 2-Module chassis and OmniConverter media
converters. Up to four iConverter standalone modules can be mounted to the shelf. Up to three OmniConverters and/or iConverter 1-Module and up to two iConverter 2-Module
Chassis can be mounted to the shelf.
WARRANTY
This product is warranted to the original purchaser against defects in material and workmanship for a period of TWO YEARS from the date of shipment. A LIFETIME warranty may be obtained by the original purchaser by REGISTERING this product with Omnitron within 90 days from the date of shipment. TO REGISTER, COMPLETE AND MAIL OR FAX THE ENCLOSED REGISTRATION FORM TO THE INDICATED ADDRESS. Or you may register your product on the Internet at http://www.omnitron-systems.com. During the warranty period, Omnitron will, at its option, repair or replace a product which is proven to be defective.
For warranty service, the product must be sent to an Omnitron designated facility, at Buyer’s expense. Omnitron will pay the shipping charge to return the product to Buyer’s designated US address using Omnitron’s standard shipping method.
Limitation of Warranty
The foregoing warranty shall not apply to defects resulting from improper or inadequate use and/or maintenance
of the equipment by Buyer, Buyer-supplied equipment, Buyer-supplied interfacing, unauthorized modications or tampering with equipment (including removal of equipment cover by personnel not specically authorized and certied by Omnitron), or misuse, or operating outside the environmental specication of the product (including but not limited to voltage, ambient temperature, radiation, unusual dust, etc.), or improper site preparation or
maintenance.
No other warranty is expressed or implied. Omnitron specically disclaims the implied warranties of merchantability and tness for any particular purpose.
Exclusive Remedies
The remedies provided herein are the Buyer’s sole and exclusive remedies. Omnitron shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages, whether based on contract, tort, or any legal theory.

1) UNPACKING, VISUAL INSPECTION AND INVENTORY
Review the contents. The following items should be included:

2) RACK MOUNTING
Mount and attach the shelf to the 19” standard rack using the appropriate rack mounting screws (not included).
When rack-mounting the shelf, the rack should be appropriately earthgrounded.
The shelf provides NEBS ground posts to secure a grounding lug and wire from the rack to the ground post.

The shelf has multiple mounting holes to accommodate the different module/chassis options. Use the Mounting Hole Guide to determine the correct mounting hole for the each unit installed on the shelf.

5) INSTALLING iConverter 2-MODULE CHASSIS TO THE SHELF
Up to iConverter two 2-Module chassis can be mounted on the shelf.
In order to mount the iConverter 2-Module Chassis to the shelf, the optional wall mount brackets (8249-0) must be installed on the chassis (not included).

3) GENERAL INSTALLATION
Use the Mounting Hole Guide to determine the correct mounting holes for the module/chassis type. Align the module to the appropriate mounting holes starting at the bottom left corner of the shelf and moving left to right across the shelf. Use the appropriate plastic snap rivets to mount the module to the shelf by pressing the rivets through the top of the wall mount bracket until the rivet locks into place.
Remove any rubber feet before installing the module/chassis to the shelf.
Cable tie downs slots are cut into the shelf to secure the power cord to the shelf using a various types of cable ties (not included).
Grounding screws are available to attach a ground wire between the module and the shelf.
4) INSTALLING iConverter STANDALONE WALL MOUNT MODULES TO THE SHELF
Up to four iConverter standalone wall mount or tabletop modules can be mounted on the shelf.
In order to mount the iConverter tabletop module to the shelf, the optional wall mount brackets (4381) must be installed on the module.

6) INSTALLING OmniConverter AND iConverter 1-MODULE CHASSIS TO THE SHELF
Up to three OmniConverter media converters or iConverter 1-Module Chassis can be mounted on the shelf.
In order to mount the iConverter 1-Module Chassis to the shelf, the optional wall mount brackets (8249-0) must be installed on the chassis (not included).
