Description:
The FlexSwitch
port 100Base fiber switch. It supports multimode and
single-mode fiber and operates in half duplex (HD) or
full duplex (FD). The following models are described
here:

On models 6720, 6721, 6520 and 6521, the “F1” denotes the fiber
type on port 1 and the “F2” denotes the fiber type on port 2.

On models 6730, 6731, 6530 and 6531, the “F1” denotes the
fiber type on all four ports.

Power Adapter Notice:
1. When used with an external power adapter (models
67xx), this product must only be used with Omnitron
Supplied Power Unit model number 9112-PS.
2. When used with an external power adapter (models
67xx), this product is intended to be and must be used
only with a Listed Direct Plug-In Power Unit marked
“Class 2” and rated at 9Vdc, 1.2 Amp.
3. Models using internal power supplies (models “65xx”)
are capable of auto switching from 100-230V, and
are supplied with a U.S. type NEMA 5-15 power cable.
4. For products being shipped outside of the U.S., the
user is required to install a properly grounded IEC
320-appliance cable with a minimum rating of 10
AMPs.
5. User-supplied cables must meet the required safety
agency approvals, applicable international standards
and electrical ratings for the region.
WARNING!
Before inserting the Power Adapter, verify that
the power on the unit is appropriate
for your AC line voltage source.
Mounting and Cable Attachment:
The FlexSwitch 600XC can be used as a tabletop unit
or wall-mounted using a wall-mounting kit.
After connecting to an appropriate power outlet, attach
the FlexSwitch 600XC via appropriate fiber cables (SC
or ST as needed) to each 100Base-Fx Fast Ethernet
fiber switch, hub or workstation. The fiber’s transmit (Tx)
must attach to the receive side on any opposing devices
and the receive (Rx) must attach to the transmit side.
Set the “Half/Full Duplex” switches as needed.
Switch Settings:
“Full-Duplex (FDX) / Half-Duplex (HDX)” Switch:
When the FDX / HDX switches are set to “Half Duplex,”
the corresponding fiber ports operate in half duplex.
When set to “Full Duplex” (factory setting), the
corresponding fiber ports operate in full duplex.

The operating description in this Instruction Manual is
for use by qualified personnel only. To avoid electrical
shock, do not perform any servicing of this unit other
than that contained in the operating instructions, unless
you are qualified and certified to do so by Omnitron
Systems T echnology, Inc.
All user-required operations can be performed without
opening the unit. Never attempt to open or remove the
cover or tamper with the unit.
This product is warranted to the original purchaser
against defects in material and workmanship for a period
of TWO YEARS from the date of shipment. A LIFETIME
warranty may be obtained by the original purchaser by
REGISTERING this product with Omnitron within 90
days from the date of shipment. TO REGISTER,
COMPLETE AND MAIL OR FAX THE REGISTRA TION
PORTION OF THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL TO THE
INDICATED ADDRESS. Or you may register your
product on the internet at http://www.omnitronsystems.com. During the warranty period, Omnitron will,
at its option, repair or replace a product which is proven
to be defective.
For warranty service, the product must be sent to an
Omnitron designated facility, at Buyer’s expense.
Omnitron will pay the shipping charge to return the
product to Buyer’s designated US address using
Omnitron’s standard shipping method.

Limitation of Warranty
The foregoing warranty shall not apply to defects
resulting from improper or inadequate use and/or
maintenance of the equipment by Buyer, Buyer-supplied
equipment, Buyer-supplied interfacing, unauthorized
modifications or tampering with equipment (including
removal of equipment cover by personnel not specifically
authorized and certified by Omnitron), or misuse, or
operating outside the environmental specification of the
product (including but not limited to voltage, ambient
temperature, radiation, unusual dust, etc.), or improper
site preparation or maintenance.
No other warranty is expressed or implied. Omnitron
specifically disclaims the implied warranties of
merchantability and fitness for any particular purpose.
Exclusive Remedies
The remedies provided herein are the Buyer’s sole and
exclusive remedies. Omnitron shall not be liable for any
direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential
damages, whether based on contract, tort, or any legal
theory.
