Load large items w hich are most difficult to c lean into the lower basket. The u pper basket is designed to hold m ore delicate and lighter dishware such as gl asses, coffee and t eacups Long bladed knives stored in an upright position are apotent ial hazard! Long and/or sharp items ofcutlery such as carving knives must be p ositione d horizon tally in the upper b asket . Please do not overload your dishwasher. T his is important for g ood results and for reasonab le consumption of energy.
Load h ollow items such as cups, gl asses, pans etc. With the openi ng facing downwards so that wat er cannot col l ect in the con t a i n e r or a de epb a se.
Use a milddetergent that i sdescribed as 'kindtodishes'.Ifnecessary, seekfurther informationfromthedetergentmanufacturers. Forparticularitems, select a program withas low a temperature as possible. Toprev ent damage, take g lass and cutlery out of t he dishwasher as soon asp ossible after the p rogram has ended.

Scrape off any larg e a mounts o f le ftover food. Soften remnants of burnt food in pa ns. It is no t necessary to ri nse the dishes under running water. Place objects in t he dishwasher in following way:
1.Itemssuch as cups, g lasses, pots/pans, etc. are faced downwards.
2.Curveditems, or ones with recesses, should be loade d aslant so that w ater can run off.
3.Allutensils are stacked securely and can not tipov er.
4.Allutensils are placed in the way t hat the spray arms can rotat e freely during washing.
Very small itemss hould not be w ashed in the dishwasher as they could eas ily f all out of the basket.
Topre vent water dripping from the upper ba sket into the lower basket, we recommend that you empty the lower ba sket first and then the upp er basket.
Page 12
The upp er basket is designed to holdmore delica te a nd lighter dishware such asg lasses, coffee and tea cupsandsaucers, as well as plates, small bowls andshallow pans(as longas theyare not too dirty). Position thedishesandcookware so that theywillnotgetmoved by the spray o fwater.
Wesuggest that you place large items and the most difficult to clean items are tobe placed into the lower basket: such as pots, pans, lids, serving dishesand bowls, as shown i n the figure b elow. It isprefer able to place serving di shes and lids onthe side of theracks in order to a void blocking the rotation oft he top spray arm.
Pots, serving b owls, etc, must always beplaced top down. Deep pots s hould be slanted to allow w ater to flow out.

Connect the c o ld water supply hose t o a t hreaded 3/4(inch ) connector and make sure that it isf astened tightly in place. If the w ater pipes are new or haveno t been used f or an e xtended period of time, let the water run to m ake sure that thewater is clear. This precaut ion is needed to avoi d the risk of the w ater inlet to be bl ocked and damage the a pplian ce.
The w ater suppl y to theapplianc e can a lso be connected to t he household hot water line (such as,c entral system, heatin g system),as long as it does not exceed a temperature of 60 C.
