Omcan Manufacturing and Distributing Company Inc. and Food Machinery Of America, Inc. dba Omcan are not responsible for any harm or injury caused due to any person’s improper or negligent use of this equipment. The product shall only be operated by someone over the age of 18, of sound mind, and
not under the inuence of any drugs or alcohol, who has been trained in the correct operation of this machine, and is wearing authorized, proper safety clothing. Any modication to the machine voids any warranty, and may cause harm to individuals using the machine or in the vicinity of the machine while
in operation.
CHECK PACKAGE UPON ARRIVAL
Upon receipt of an Omcan shipment please inspect for external damage. If no damage is evident on the external packaging, open carton to ensure all ordered items are within the box, and there is no concealed damaged to the machine. If the package has suffered rough handling, bumps or damage (visible or concealed), please note it on the bill of lading before accepting the delivery and contact Omcan within 24 hours, so we may initiate a claim with the carrier. A detailed report on the extent of the damage caused to the machine must be
lled out within three days, from the delivery date shown in the shipping documents. Omcan has no recourse
for damaged products that were shipped collect or third party.
Inform all personnel involved in the transport and installation of the machine of these instructions.
Safety & Warranty
Before starting working with the machine the operator must be perfectly aware of the position and the working of all the controls and of the characteristics of the machine described in the “Operation” section. Never tamper with the safety devices. Never remove, nor change the protections and safety devices, especially those installed at the meat inlet. Never tamper with the electric system. Always disconnect the power cord before performing any cleaning, servicing or maintenance operation. The use of the machine in environments with explosive atmosphere is forbidden. The working position is in front of the start & stop push buttons. Never go near the machine with loose hair, clothes, bracelets, chains, rings, ties, etc. to avoid the chance that they become tangled in the moving parts of the machine. As a consequence, the operator shall wear suitable clothes for the working environment and the situation he is in. Always keep the working place clear and free from oil residues. The room where the machine is installed must not have dark areas, dazzling lights, nor stroboscopic effects due to the lighting system.
All routine and extraordinary maintenance operations of the machine must only be carried out by trained personnel. The instruction manual must accompany the mincer for its whole lifetime until demolition. We recommend you read these instructions carefully before performing any Installation/Use/Maintenance operation. All operators using the machine must know the directions contained in the instruction manual. The operator must be adequately trained before starting to use the machine (in accordance with paragraph 7.2 of prEN 12331). Hand over this manual to any other user or successive owner of the machine. Omcan cannot be held responsible for drawbacks, breakdowns, accidents, etc. as a result of the lack of knowledge or non-
application of the rules contained in these Instructions Manual. The same is true for any change, modication

and/or for the installation of non-authorized parts.
MECHANICAL PROBLEMS
The machine does not contain user serviceable parts: the machine can only be opened by qualied personnel.
Make sure that the voltage of the outlet is the same as the voltage required by the machine (see the label). Any
modication to the machine must be authorised by the manufacturer. Never use pressurized water jets to clean
the machine. Warning: the voltage inside the machine is 208V! Always use original spare parts that guarantee the perfect working and the safety of the machine. The electric cable must be checked regularly and carefully (a worn cable or a cable in less than perfect conditions is always a serious electrical danger).
1 YEAR PARTS AND LABOR WARRANTY
WARNING:
The packaging components (cardboard, polyethylene, and others) are classied as normal solid urban waste and can therefore be disposed of without difculty.
In any case, for suitable recycling, we suggest disposing of the products separately (differentiated waste) according to the current norms.
DO NOT DISCARD ANY PACKAGING MATERIALS IN THE ENVIRONMENT!

RECOMMENDED USE
The grater has been designed and manufactured only for grating hard cheese and dry bread (soft cheeses cannot be grated or shredded in this machine). The minimum temperature of the meat to be processed
must be +1°C. Should you need to mince frozen, the maximum size of meat chunks is 20 x 40 millimeters. Any use different from the recommended one is not allowed and may be dangerous for the machine and the operators. Always and only use the attachments supplied. The machine must always be operated by only one operator. For working operations the operator must stay in front of the start & stop push buttons.
