Omcan Manufacturing and Distributing Company Inc. and Food Machinery of America, Inc. dba Omcan are not responsible for any harm or injury caused due to any person’s improper or negligent use of this equipment. The product shall only be operated by someone over the age of 18, of sound mind, and
not under the inuence of any drugs or alcohol, who has been trained in the correct operation of this machine, and is wearing authorized, proper safety clothing. Any modication to the machine voids any warranty, and may cause harm to individuals using the machine or in the vicinity of the machine while
in operation.
All routine and extraordinary maintenance operations of the machine must only be carried out by trained personnel. This manual is an integral part of the machine and must accompany the unit for its whole lifetime until demolition. We recommend you read these Instructions carefully before performing any installation, operation or maintenance. All operators attending the machine must know the directions contained in the instruction manual. Hand over this manual to any other user or successive owner of the machine. Omcan cannot be held responsible for drawbacks, breakdowns, accidents, etc. as a result of the lack of knowledge or
non-application of the rules contained in this manual. The same is true for any change, modication and/or for
the installation of non-authorised parts.
CHECK PACKAGE UPON ARRIVAL
Upon receipt of an Omcan shipment please inspect for external damage. If no damage is evident on the external packaging, open carton to ensure all ordered items are within the box, and there is no concealed damage to the machine. If the package has suffered rough handling, bumps or damage (visible or concealed), please note it on the bill of lading before accepting the delivery and contact Omcan within 24 hours, so we may initiate a claim with the carrier. A detailed report on the extent of the damage caused to the machine must be
lled out within three days, from the delivery date shown in the shipping documents. Omcan has no recourse
for damaged products that were shipped collect or third party.
Safety and Warranty
Before starting working with the machine the operator must be perfectly aware of the position and the working of all the controls and of the characteristics of the machine described in this manual. Never tamper with the safety devices. Never remove, nor change the protections and safety devices, especially those installed at the meat inlet. Never tamper with the electric system. Always disconnect from power supply before performing any cleaning, servicing or maintenance operation. The use of the machine in environments with hazardous surroundings is forbidden. The working position is in front of the start & stop push buttons. Never go near the machine with loose hair, clothes, bracelets, chains, rings, ties, etc. to avoid the chance that they become tangled in the moving parts of the machine. The operator shall wear suitable clothes for the working environment. Always keep the working place clear and free from oil residues. The room where the machine
is installed must not have dark areas, ickering lights, or a faulty lighting system. Make sure that the voltage of the outlet is the same as the voltage required by the machine (see the rating plate). Any modication to the
machine must be authorised by Omcan. Never spray with high pressure water to clean the machine. Warning: the voltage inside the machine is 110V.
Safety and Warranty
Always use original replacement parts that guarantee the perfect working and the safety of the machine. The electric cable must be checked regularly and carefully (a worn cable or a cable in less than perfect condition is always a serious electrical danger).
WARNING SIGNALS
“WARNING” adhesive labels are placed on the machine. They must
be replaced with the labels supplied when it becomes difcult to
read them. Read these labels before operating the machine. (FIG. A. describes their position on the machine).
Safety devices and protections: The picture below shows all the protections and safety devices installed on the machine. Safety magnetic sensors stopping the cycle when cover is opened and lever is released.(Fig. B).
NEVER TAMPER WITH THE MECHANICAL SAFETY PROTECTIONS WITH BLUNT OBJECTS (SCREWDRIVERS, KNIVES, ETC.) TO TRY TO ACCESS MOVING PARTS INSIDE THE MACHINE. DO NOT TURN OR TAMPER THE MAGNETIC SENSOR (FIG. B).

and can therefore be disposed of without difculty.
In any case, for suitable recycling, we suggest disposing of the products separately (differentiated waste) according to the current norms.
DO NOT DISCARD ANY PACKAGING MATERIALS IN THE ENVIRONMENT!

RECOMMENDED USE
The machine is designed to process vegetables (with the exception of leafy vegetables) and fresh cheeses. Different cutting disks may be used according to the type of processing desired. In addition, the machine can grate: bread, nuts, chocolate, ripened cheeses etc. Any use different from the recommended should not be considered and may be dangerous for the machine and the Operator. Always and only use the attachments supplied. The machine must always be operated by only one operator. The working and control position of the operator is in front of the machine.
OPERATING RANGES
The proper function of the machine is guaranteed within the following environmental ranges:
Temperature range between +5°C/+41°F and +45°C/+113°F. Humidity range between 30% and 90%.

It is recommended that you contact Omcan for all the servicing and maintenance operations that are not described in these Operating Instructions.
