General Information
Omcan Manufacturing and Distributing Company Inc., Food Machinery of America, Inc. dba Omcan
and Omcan Inc. are not responsible for any harm or injury caused due to any person’s improper or
negligent use of this equipment. The product shall only be operated by someone over the age of 18, of
sound mind, and not under the inuence of any drugs or alcohol, who has been trained in the correct
operation of this machine, and is wearing authorized, proper safety clothing. Any modication to the
machine voids any warranty, and may cause harm to individuals using the machine or in the vicinity of
the machine while in operation.
CHECK PACKAGE UPON ARRIVAL
Upon receipt of an Omcan shipment please inspect for external damage. If no damage is evident on the
external packaging, open carton to ensure all ordered items are within the box, and there is no concealed
damage to the machine. If the package has suffered rough handling, bumps or damage (visible or concealed),
please note it on the bill of lading before accepting the delivery and contact Omcan within 24 hours, so we may
initiate a claim with the carrier. A detailed report on the extent of the damage caused to the machine must be
lled out within three days, from the delivery date shown in the shipping documents. Omcan has no recourse
for damaged products that were shipped collect or third party.
Before operating any equipment, always read and familiarize yourself with all operation and safety
instructions.
Omcan would like to thank you for purchasing this machine. It’s of the utmost importance to save
these instructions for future reference. Also save the original box and packaging for shipping the
equipment if servicing or returning of the machine is required.

Dès réception d’une expédition d’Omcan veuillez inspecter pour dommages externes. Si aucun dommage
n’est visible sur l’emballage externe, ouvrez le carton an de s’assurer que tous les éléments commandés
sont dans la boîte, et il n’y a aucun dommage dissimulé à la machine. Si le colis n’a subi aucune mauvaises
manipulations, de bosses ou de dommages (visible ou cachée), notez-le sur le bond de livraison avant
d’accepter la livraison et contactez Omcan dans les 24 heures qui suivent, pour que nous puissions engager
une réclamation auprès du transporteur. Un rapport détaillé sur l’étendue des dommages causés à la machine
doit être rempli dans un délai de trois jours, à compter de la date de livraison indiquée dans les documents
d’expédition. Omcan n’a aucun droit de recours pour les produits endommagés qui ont été expédiées ou cueilli
par un tiers transporteur.

instructions pour une référence ultérieure. Également conservez la boîte originale et l’emballage pour
l’expédition de l’équipement si l’entretien ou le retour de la machine est nécessaire.

REVISE EL PAQUETE A SU LLEGADA
Tras la recepcion de un envio Omcan favor inspeccionar daños externos. Si no hay daños evidentes en el
empaque exterior, Habra el carton para asegurararse que todos los articulos solicitados ésten dentro de la
caja y no encuentre daños ocultos en la máquina. Si el paquete ha sufrido un manejo de poco cuidado, golpes
o daños (visible o oculto) por favor anote en la factura antes de aceptar la entrega y contacte Omcan dentro
de las 24 horas, de modo que podamos iniciar una reclamación con la compañia. Un informe detallado sobre
los daños causados a la máquina debe ser llenado en el plazo de tres días, desde la fecha de entrega que se
muestra en los documentos de envío. Omcan no tiene ningun recurso por productos dañados que se enviaron
a recoger por terceros.
Antes de utilizar cualquier equipo, siempre lea y familiarizarse con todas las instrucciones de
funcionamiento y seguridad.

Safety and Warranty
To avoid damage or danger from improper use, the instruction manual should be read and followed carefully.
Save the instructions, the guarantee card and receipt for future reference. If the appliance is transferred to
another person, supply them with the instruction manual for use.
• Connect your appliance to a grounded power socket with appropriate voltage (120V, 60Hz). Do not connect
other electrical appliances to the same socket and do not use multiple sockets.
• Make sure that the power mains provides enough power to run this appliance. See the appliance’s rating

plate to make sure of this.
• CAUTION: When operating this electrical appliance please beware that high temperatures are achieved
which may cause injuries. Please use handles or pot clothes if necessary. Inform other people using this
appliance of the dangers when using this appliance.
• To avoid overheating do not directly place the appliance next to a wall or under a cupboard. Make sure
there is a safe distance between items and this appliance to avoid possible accidents. Do not store
any objects which may easily melt or catch on re near the appliance. Do not block the air supply and
ventilation of the appliance.
• After each use let the device cool down sufciently and clean it with a slightly damp cloth to prevent the
surface from getting damaged. Always handle with care. Do not use any abrasive cleaning utensils as they
may cause damage to the machine. Do not use any sharp or damaging objects while cleaning the device.
Do not let any food residues dry on the surface of the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance while standing on a wet ground, if your hands or the appliance are wet. To avoid
any risk of electrical shock do not immerse cord, plug or appliance in water or other liquids. Do not pour or
drip any liquid on the motor or power cord. When liquids are spilled on the motor, immediately switch the
machine OFF. Unplug and dry the motor with care.
• Never wash the appliance and power cord in the dishwasher.
• Do not use outdoors, household use only.
• Do not place any empty containers, pots or metal objects on the device while in operation. Never overheat
the cookware.
• Never place any ferromagnetic objects near the appliance (i.e. TV, radio, credit cards, cassettes etc.)
• Use the item only on heat-resistant surfaces, such as stone or ceramics. Do not place the appliance near
or on hot surfaces. Do no place the appliance near other heating devices.
• Never place or use the appliance on carpet, cloth or other objects which are easily ammable.
• Do not place any kind of tissue, cloth or other objects which are easily ammable, under or on the
appliance. Never store ammable products near the appliance.
• Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use or near young children. Supervision is necessary
when the appliance is operated near children. Never let young children be unattended or handle the electric
appliance!
• The appliance must be stored at a place which is out of reach of children.
• Do not let unattended children play with plastic foils or other packing parts.
• Make sure to store the appliance on a dry, clean place, safe from frost, excessive strain (mechanical or
electrical shock, heat, moisture) and out of the reach of children.
• Do not operate the appliance when any parts are damaged. If there are any cracks, excessively broken
parts, distortions, leaks, or when the gear on the motor vase stalls or sticks do not use the appliance.
Immediately stop the appliance and return the entire appliance (including any parts and accessories) to an
authorized service centre for examination and repair.
• To unplug the appliance, never pull on the cord, but rather take the plug directly at its housing and unplug it.
To avoid electrical shock or short circuit never let the cord hand into water, other liquids or over the washing
basin.
• CAUTION: There is a danger of a re. Never touch the heated surface with your hand or other parts of
shin. Never place objects, other than cookware, on the appliance when it is connected to the power supply.
Do not place empty pots or other empty cookware on the appliance when it is operating.
• In the case of a re, never try to extinguish with water but take a damp cloth.
• Do not let cord hang over the edge of table or counter.

• A shorter power cord should be used to reduce the risk of tripping.
• Longer detached power supply cord or extension cord are may be used if care is exercised in their use.
A) The electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least equal to that of the electrical rating of the
appliance, and;
B) The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or tabletop.
• Do not cook on a broken cook-top. If the cook-top should break,substances may get into the appliance and
create a risk of electric shock.
• Do not place a sheet of paper between the cookware and the unit.
• Items with a magnetic eld, such as: radios, televisions, automatic-banking cards and cassette tapes, can
be affected by this unit.
• This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this
plug is intended to t into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not t fully into the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied electrician. Do not attempt modify the plug in any way.
• The hotplate is only heated up by the bottom of the cookware, food cannot stick and burn. There is not
much danger of burns for the user. The glass ceramic only heats up cookware.
• Once you take the cookware off the hotplate, the device automatically switches to a standby mode.
• The device detects whether suitable cookware is placed on the hotplate. If this is not the case, no energy is
transmitted.
1 YEAR PARTS AND LABOUR BENCH WARRANTY
Within the warranty period, contact Omcan Inc. at 1-800-465-0234 to schedule a drop off to either
an Omcan authorized service depot in the area, or to an Omcan Service warehouse to repair the
equipment.
Unauthorized maintenance will void the warranty. Warranty covers electrical and part failures, not
improper use.

WARNING:
The packaging components are classied as normal solid urban waste and can therefore be disposed of
without difculty.
In any case, for suitable recycling, we suggest disposing of the products separately (differentiated
waste) according to the current norms.
DO NOT DISCARD ANY PACKAGING MATERIALS IN THE ENVIRONMENT!
