Close-up correction marks
At a close distance, you r subject must
be positioned within the close-up
correction marks.

DIOPTER ADJUSTMENT
To Adjust the Viewfinder to Compensate for Near- and Farsighted Vision.
Turn the diopter adjustment control until the viewfinder display becomes
clear.
Turn to the left if you
are farsighted or to the right if you are
nearsighted.

OUTLINE O F OPERATIONS
Basic Shooting Procedures
Press the zoom buttons for
telephoto or wide-angle
photography (p. 18) .
Place the autofocus mark on the subject you want to ta k e a picture of (p. 19).
Depress the shutter release button halfway to make sure the gr ee n la m p l i gh ts ( p. 20 ) .
Load the film (p. 16).
Open the back cover (p. 16).
Load the batteries (p. 12).

Close the back cover (p. 17).
Set th e ON/O F F switch to ON
(p.
18).
Ma k e sure the exposure counter
on the LCD panel reads / (p. 17).
Open the back cover to remove
the rewound film (p. 23) .
When the film reaches the end, it
will automatically rewind (p. 23).
Depress the shutter release button
fully to take a picture (p. 20).

LOADING THE BATTERIES
Turn the battery cover to
with a coin. Press
firmly to remove the battery cover.
Insert the batteries,
Replace the battery cover.
Turn the battery cover
back to to lock i n place.
Be sure the batteries are aligned
correctly as shown.
Use two 3V lithium batteries (CR123A
or DL123A).
Before loading the batteries, set the
ON/ OF F switch to OFF.
Read "Battery Handling" on page 46.

CHECKING THE BATTERIES
Set the ON/OFF switch
to ON.
Batteries are OK. The mark disappears after 12 sec.
Batteries are low. Have spares handy.
Batteries should be replaced
immediately.

Insert the film cartridge, making sure the film is
lying flat.
