Operating Instructions
This appliance is for salon or household use, and may be plugged into your AC electrical outlet (100-240VAC 50/60Hz). If you are traveling, use the appropriate adapter to plug in your electricity outlet. Your flat iron will then automatically adjust itself to the adequate voltage and function normally.

Getting Started
IMPORTANT
Keep heated surfaces away from contact
• with all skin areas and eyes. Do not touch straightening plates with your fingertips.
For shorter hair, place a thin plastic
• comb between scalp and iron to avoid touching scalp.
Test small section of hair before styling
• whole head.
PREHEATING
1. Place the iron on a smooth and flat
1. surface, ideally on your heat resistant mat, and then plug into the outlet.
2.
2. Press the ON/OFF switch once to turn the flat iron ON.
3.
3. The LED Digital number will light up.
4.
4. Press the ‘+’ or ‘-’ buttons to adjust to desired temperature.
5.
5. Allow 1 minute (or less) for flat iron to reach selected temperature (heat-up time depends on chosen temperature).
6.
6. To switch the temperature reading from °F to °C (or vice versa), press and hold the ‘+’ and ‘-’ buttons simultaneously until the desired temperature scale is visible.
7.
7. Press the ON/OFF switch for 3 seconds to turn your flat iron OFF.
STYLING
1. When using the flat iron for styling,
1. please use caution.
2. Work with hair sections that are no more
2. than 1-1/2” wide and 1/4” thick.
3. Place hair between hot plates and press
3. down firmly.
4. Pull through hair, maintaining a constant
4. tension.
5.
5. Release pressure from handle and allow hair to slip out. CAUTION: Hair will be hot. Let hair cool before touching.
6.
6. Repeat until desired result is achieved.
7.
7. Unplug the iron.
8.
8. Keep iron off skin and surfaces until it has cooled to avoid burning.

ERROR MESSAGE “ERR”
If the digital screen shows an “ERR” message, it means that the flat iron switched to standby mode for safety protection. Please follow the following steps:
1.
1. Turn flat iron OFF and unplug it from outlet.
2.
2. Wait about 2 minutes leaving the flat iron unplugged. Then plug in your flat iron into outlet and turn it ON.
3. If the “ERR” message has disappeared,
3. you can resume using your flat iron.
4. If the “ERR” message is still visible,
4. discontinue use of the flat iron and contact Olivia Garden or your local authorized distributor.

5. for more details.
Note: An “ERR” message can be a sign that the flat iron is not functioning properly or that it is not reaching the temperature as expected, and that the iron switched to a standby mode for safety protection.
Care & Maintenance
To ensure optimum performance of your Olivia Garden flat iron, the plates should be cleaned regularly.
Before cleaning, ensure that the flat iron
• is switched OFF, has cooled down and is unplugged from the power supply.
Use a soft cloth slightly moistened with
• water to clean the plates. Do not apply
water or cleaning agents directly onto the plates.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or
• abrasive surfaces that may scratch and
damage the plates.
To clean the external surface of the
• housing, use a soft cloth slightly
moistened with water. Do not spray or apply liquids or cleaning agent directly on the body of the flat iron.
For USA in-salon sanitizing, please follow
• your State board’s rules and regulations.
Warranty
This Olivia Garden flat iron carries a limited warranty against defects in material or workmanship for 24 months.

This limited warranty DOES NOT COVER:
Normal wear and tear such as shorts in
• the power supply cord or plug.
Damage due to external factors, misuse
• or abuse such as but not limited to:
dropping, foreign objects being placed on the plates, wrong voltage supply, neglect in safety precautions
Tampering such as repair or attempted
• repair by an unauthorized party
Damage resulting from use of
• unauthorized attachments
WHERE VALID
The limited warranty is valid only in the United States (excluding territories) & Canada. Outside of the United States, contact your local distributor for warranty terms and service. Flat iron must be purchased from an authorized Olivia Garden reseller. Void where prohibited.

3. Upon receipt and inspection, Olivia
3. Garden will determine if flat iron is covered under terms of the limited warranty. If it is covered, Olivia Garden will either repair or replace.
Any implied warranties, obligations, or liabilities, including but not limited to the implied warranty of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, shall be limited in duration to the 24 months duration of this written limited warranty.
