MD-600 Magnetic Detection Pen

OPERATION INSTRUCTION

Introduction

MD-600 is a pocket currency detector, it is suitable for detecting the magnetic ink on the
banknotes and checks.

Before you operate it, please read this manual carefully. Do not operate it until you
understand the contents of this document.

If you have any doubts, please contact with your local distributor or sales agent for further
advice.

Operation

Put a banknote on the soft pad (like the mouse pad), hold the Magnetic detection pen and
press the switch, the red indicator will glow, as following diagram, keep the magnetic
sensor touching the surface of the banknote, and adjust the position of Magnetic sensor
to match following condition:

1) The surface of the magnetic sensor should be parallel to the surface of the banknote;

2) The detection position mark should aim at the position of the magnetic ink;

Then gently and horizontally slide the Magnetic Detection Pen on the magnetic ink area
of the note. If the Green indicator glow and the buzzer alarm, it indicates there is the
magnetic ink detected, the banknote is the genuine. If there is not any response when
you slide the magnetic pen on the magnetic ink area, it indicates there is suspect
banknote, please check and compare its print quality with the genuine banknotes.

Caution: If you did not know the position of the magnetic ink on your local
banknotes, please contact with your local sales agent, they will provide the
information of the magnetic ink location of your local banknotes.
