ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
The OEMTOOLS™ 24887 4,500 CFM 3 Speed Evaporative Cooler is preassembled. Carefully remove the Evaporative Cooler from the Box. Install the (4) casters.
PREPARING FOR OPERATION
IMPORTANT: Read and understand the provided safety instructions prior to operation.
1. Before attempting to use, inspect the filter for dirt, dust or residues. Cooling pads that have accumulated build-up will impede cooling performance.
2. To operate effectively, position the unit in front of an open door or window. Ensure the unit is placed on a flat, level surface with the casters in the locked position.
3. Open another door or window to provide proper ventilation for the unit.
MANUAL FILL
1. Depress the Fill Door located on the front of the unit below the louvers (the Fill Door features a spring lock, and will release when pressed).
2. Fill the Water Tank using a hose or bucket. Monitor water level using the Fill Gauge.
3. Press the Fill Door closed (the spring lock with re-engage).
AUTOMATIC FILL CONNECTION
NOTE: This unit features a float valve and automatic shut-off function. This allows the unit to remain connected to an open water source for a continuous flow of water. The operator may also fill the Water Tank to capacity (or desired level) prior to running the unit, and then close the water source.
1. Attach the provided Pigtail Adapter to the Water Inlet.
2. Connect one end of the provided Coil Hose to the Pigtail Adapter.
3. Connect the other end of the Coil Hose to a water supply. Ensure that both connections are water tight.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Plug the unit into a grounded 110-120V AC outlet.
NOTE: This Evaporative Cooler is equipped with a UL Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) Plug. This UL GFCI Plug is designed to interrupt power to the unit if current follows an unintended path. This feature is a safety measure to reduce risk of electric shock to the operator and electrical damage to the Evaporative Cooler. If the circuit is tripped, press the Reset Button located on the plug head. If the Reset Button will not engage and power is not restored, discontinue use, see the troubleshooting section for further instruction.
2. Open the water source to fill the Water Tank. Monitor water level using the Fill Gauge; allow the Water Tank to reach 50% capacity.
WARNING: Water Inlet pressure should not exceed 50 PSI. Higher
pressure may lead to product failure and property damage.
3. Switch the Power to ON.
4. Switch the Pump to ON. Allow to run for 2-3 minutes to saturate the Cooling Pads with water.
NOTE: The pump will automatically shut-off when the water level is low.
5. Switch the Fan to the first speed setting. Allow to run at the first speed setting for 2-3 minutes. Increase the speed of the fan to the desired setting: Off, Low, Medium and High.
6. To oscillate airflow, switch the Swing Setting to ON.
SHUTDOWN INSTRUCTIONS
1. Close the water source.
2. After the Water Tank has emptied, switch the Pump to OFF.
NOTE: See Draining Instructions if the Water Tank is not empty.
3. At the end of each day of use, allow the Fan to run for about 20 minutes to dry the Cooling Pad(s).
4. Switch the Fan to OFF.
5. Switch the Power to OFF.
6. Unplug the Power Cord from the power source.
