1 Safety instructions
Thank you for choosing our product. Please read this manu al ca refully and
observe all safety and operating instructions. Store the manual in a safe
place for later reference.
The flash symbol displayed in a triangle warns the user of
dangerous electrical voltages inside the device that could lead to
electrical shocks with harmful effects to health if the device is used
incorrectly.

IMPORTANT FOR LASER PRODUCTS
1. NOTE: The device is a class 1 laser product. The

Caution
This product contains a low-power laser device. In order to guarantee
the safety of the laser device, do not remove any covers, and do not
attempt to repair the unit yourself. Contact your dealer or a service
shop, if repair work is required.
In order to prevent electric shock, do not remove any covers or housing
parts. There are no internal customer-serviceable parts. Only allow qualified
service personnel to perform work on the device. Unplug the product
from the wall outlet before servicing or when it is unused for a long
period of time.
The manufacturer is not liable for damages that were caused by
replacing and changing components without the consent of the
manufacturer or an authorised service representative..
Danger of battery explosion if incorrectly inserted. Only use an
equivalent battery type.
Power supply
Connect the power supply cable to the DC 9.5V IN jack on the
right side of the device. Connect the power plug to an earthed
socket AC 100-240 V. If you have problems when plugging the
mains plug into the socket, rotate the plug by 180° and plug it in
again.
Environment protection notes
At the end of its service life, this product must not be
disposed of in normal household waste, but must be
brought to a collection point that recycles electrical and
electronic devices. The symbol on the product, in the
instruction manual or on the packaging indicates this.
Please consult your sales person or local authority about
the relevant disposal facility.
Warning
The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and
that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed
on the apparatus.

only play back discs whose region code matches that of the player.

3.2 Using USB memory and SD cards
1. Connect the device to the power supply.
2. Switch the device on.
3. Insert the USB memory stick into the USB port or insert the SD/MMC/MS card
into the SD card slot (see the images below).

• Prior to connecting the device, make sure that the USB memory stick or the
SD/MMC/MS card contains JPEG, MP3 or DivX files.

menu. Then press, to access either USB or SD playback mode.
• Press the , to switch to the JPEG, MP3 or DivX playback option and
confirm using the ENT/OK button (see chap. 7.3 and 7.4).
• Press the buttons to select the folder and confirm your selection using the
ENT button.
• Press the buttons to select the desired file and start playback using
ENT/OK.
• Press to the STOP button to stop playback. Playback can now be continued
again from the beginning of the current file. Press the button to return to the
folder menu.
The USB jack cannot be used for connecting digital cameras or
other USB devices.

Switches between MONO L, MONO R, STEREO in DVB-T mode.

DVD mode: To select a language for subtitles (if available on disc) or turn off
the subtitles
DVB mode: Accesses various subtitles, if supported
8. A-B / PR-LIST
DVD mode: Enables you to repeat playback of the section between points A
and B. Press this button once to set point A. Press the button a second time
to set point B. Press this button during looped playback to exit the loop mode.
DVB mode: Switches to the program list, select by using the buttons
and confirm using OK
9. REP / LANG
DVD mode: To repeat a chapter, title or the entire disc
DVB mode: Switches the language
10. GOTO / SEARCH
DVD mode: Press to select the desired disc starting time, title or chapter
DVB mode: Activate Automatic channel search
- Switches to the search menu, then and ENT starts the search.
Select the "OK" button or cancel the process by pressing and ENT.
- Cancelling channel search: Press the SEARCH button again and select
"OK" using and ENT or continue channel search using and ENT

a) Channel: Selection of the channel whose EPG information you wish to

b) Programm: Listing of the upcoming programmes of the current channel
and adding them to a reservation list
- Select reserve program using ; four small fields appear on the bottom
of the screen in red, green, yellow and blue;
- Display program information using ; exit menu by pressing the OK button;

Preparation of the Remote Control
Place the remote control on an even surface and insert the supplied button
cell into the remote control as follows.

Refer to the drawing and remove the empty
battery receptacle.

Insert the battery into the receptacle. Make
sure the polarity matches the marks inside the
component.

Insert the receptacle into the remote control.
Using Of Remote Control
• Point the remote control towards the main unit when operating. The
remote control works best at a distance less than 5 m and at an angle of
up to 60° to the front of the unit. No obstacles may stand in the way
between remote control and infrared sensor and do not place the remote
control in direct sunlight.
• Under normal use the battery will last for six months.
• If the remote control unit fails to work even when it is operated near the
player, replace the battery.
Notes on batteries
If the remote control is not used for a long period of time, please
remove the battery from the compartment.
Do not heat batteries or dispose of them in fires.
Do not dismantle, deform or modify batteries.

4 Connecting
• The DVD player, the television set and any other electric devices to be
connected to the DVD player must be switched off and disconnected from
the mains.
• Observe the colour coding when connecting audio and video cables.

4.3 Connecting headphones
Connect the headphones to the
headphone jack on the right
side of the device. The loudspeakers are automatically
deactivated.
Caution
Excessively high volume can damage your hearing. Turn the volume
down before connecting the headphones and then turn the volume
up to a moderate level.
4.4 Connecting to an external A/V source
Using the audio/video cables,
connect the DVD player to
the A/V signal source (for
example, DVD or video
recorder) as shown in the
illustration. Press the
SOURCE button and select
the AV option using in
the menu. Then press to
access AV playback mode.
Note
When external audio signals are received during DVD playback,
this can lead to disturbing noise in the loudspeakers. If this is the
case, disconnect the audio cable.
