Installation
OCEASOFT Phoenix™ modules are classified by the FCC as devices that must be
professionally installed in accordance with the requirements specified in this document.
Battery warnings
OCEASOFT Phoenix™ modules contain a non-rechargeable, non-removable lithium battery.
Battery life is influenced by operating temperatures.
Antenna
The antenna used on the Phoenix is a PCB antenna. Its structure is called MIFA (Meandered Inverted-F-Antenna) with a gain of about -4dB, depending on the direction, and orientation. It is not possible to connect an external antenna.

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause harmful interference.
(2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that
may cause undesired operation.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna;
Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver;
Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the
receiver is connected;
Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
FCC Caution
Any changes or modifications to this equipment not expressly approved by OCEASOFT may cause, harmful interference and void the FCC authorization to operate this equipment.
FCC RF Radiation Exposure Statement
This equipment complies with FCC’s radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment under the following conditions:
(1) This equipment should be installed and operated such that a minimum
separation distance of 20cm is maintained between the radiator (antenna) and user’s/nearby person’s body at all times.
(2) This transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any
other antenna or transmitter.

1 Introduction
Congratulations and thank you for choosing the OCEASOFT Phoenix wireless monitoring solution.
1.1 Summary
OCEASOFT Phoenix is a single-use Bluetooth-enabled wireless device designed to monitor time-and temperature-sensitive products during transportation and storage.
With the size of a credit card, Phoenix fits conveniently inside many types of product packaging and containers, where it tracks temperature at regular intervals according to parameters that you can define for your specific needs, especially in cold chain application.
By using OCEASOFT Phoenix with specially supported companion products, you can benefit from a flexible temperature monitoring solution that adapts to many usage scenarios, from low-to very high-volume needs. With this solution, you can keep track of critical temperature information wirelessly without having to open any containers.
