This product is a splash proof speakerand standardized as IPX5. The product isnot waterproof. Do not place the
productinto water. Read the following safetyprecautions carefully before using theproduct.

Safety precautions
The information you need to prevent danger to the user and other people as well as propertydamage is described
below. “Description of signs” shows different categories of the degreeof danger or damage that may occur due to
wrong handling. “Description of symbols” showsthe meaning of the symbols.

Indicates that there is a risk of death or serious injury.
Indicates that there is a risk of minor injury or property damage.

Indicates “Prohibition” or “You mustnot do” with pictures and text.
Indicates “Mandatory Action” or “Do asindicated” with pictures and text.
What to do in the case of an abnormality
• Stop using the device immediately in case of an abnormality or failure.
• Remove the USB cable immediately when water or any foreign object enters theinterior of the device. It may cause a

Usage
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or product damage,
• Do not disassemble, repair, or modify the unit . Refer servicing to qualified servicepersonnel.
• Do not step on, throw, or drop battery or the power supply or unit, or expose them to a strong shock.
• Do not throw the unit into fire. The battery could explode causing injury or death.
• Do not install this unit in a confined or built-in space such as a book case or similarunit, and keep a
well-ventilatedconditions. The ventilation should not be impededby covering the ventilation openings with items such
as newspaper, table-cloths,curtains etc.
• Do not expose this unit to rain, moisture, dripping or splashing.
• Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on this unit.
• Place the unit on a flat surface away from sources of direct sunlight or excessiveheat.
• The unit is not for use by children, and keep it out of reach of children.
Rechargeable battery (Lithium polymer ion)
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or product damage,
• Do not attempt to replace the battery by yourself, it is built-in and is notchangeable.
• Do not heat, disassemble, or short-circuit the battery. Doing so may cause thebattery and power supply to generate
heat, rupture, or ignite.
• Do not attempt to charge the battery in temperatures outside the temperaturerange of 0°-40°C .
• Do not continue charging the battery if it does not reach full charge within thespecified charging time. Overcharging
may cause the battery to become hot,rupture, or ignite.
• Do not expose the battery to excessive heat such as under the sun or near the fireor the like.
Overheat, leakage, or rupture may occur, resulting in burns or injury.
If you touch the battery fluid, rinse it off with water and consult with the doctor. If thebattery fluid spills over the device,
wipe it off without touching the fluid.

About water resistance
To use this unit,
• Do not place the unit into hot or cold water.
• Do not pour large amounts of water onto the unit.
• Do not spray with water intensely.
• Do not place the unit into hot or cold water with soap, detergent, or bath agent.
• Be sure the cover for the Micro USB charge socket/Line-in socket is closed firmlywhen you use the unit.The rubber
seal of the cover is made for water resistance. Do not let the rubber sealbecome dirty or scratched. If any foreign
objects are attached to the rubber seal, wipeit with a clean dry cloth in a dry place.
• Do not open or close the cover for the Micro USB charge socket/Line-in socket in alocation where it will be subject to
water or high humidity.
• If the unit falls into water or is covered with large amounts of raindrops or water,use a dry cloth to wipe it immediately.
Open and close the cover for the Micro USB charge socket/Line-in socket with dryhands in a dry place after the water
has been wiped off sufficiently from the unit.
• Water may remain within the unit after it has been wet. Shake the water off the unitlightly and wipe the unit.
If water remains within the unit and the unit is carried around, your clothes, floor, orbed may become wet due to water
dropped from the unit.The degree of protection against water for this unit is equivalent to IPX5 (IP code).
IPX5 means the product will not be harmfully effected by droplets from anydirection.Toshiba shall not be responsible
for any damage caused by water entering the unitdue to incorrect handling and itwill not be covered by the warranty
even if thewarranty period is still in effect.
