Safety precautions
The infor mation you need to preve nt danger to the user and ot her people as well as p roperty
damage is described below. “Description of signs” shows different categories of the degree
of danger or d amage that may occur due to wr ong handling. “Des cription of symbo ls” shows
the meaning of the symbols.
Important notes
• This book is only a guide for user's operation, not a criterion for configuration.
• Only use at tachments/accessories specified by the manufac turer.
The lightning flash is intended to alert the user to the presence of
dangerous voltage within the product's enclosure, and touching the
internal components may result in a risk of electric shock to persons.
The exclamatory mark is intended to alert the user to the presence of
important operating instructions.
To reduce the risk of e lectric shock or f ire, do not open the cover. Re fer
servicing to qualified service personnel.

Indicates that there is a risk of death or serious injur y.

What to do in the case of an abnormality
• Stop using the device immediately in case of an abnormality or failure.
• Remove the USB cable immediately when water or any foreign object enters the
interior of the device. It may cause a fire or electric shock. Remove the USB cable
immediately, and contact your dealer for a repair.
Usage
Do not use this product while driving for traffic safety.
• Do not use the product while riding a bicycle or driving a car or motorbike.
Surrounding sounds may not be heard clearly, which may cause a traffic accident.
• Besides during driving, do not use the product in places where when surrounding
sounds cannot be heard may cause danger, such as railroad crossings, station
platforms, roadways, or construction sites.
Do not disassemble, repair, or modify the product.
• Doing so may cause a fault . Contact your dealer for a repair.
Do not leave in places within the reach of small children.
• Small children might swallow ear pieces by mistake and cause injury.
Do not expose the product to a strong shock such as dropping or stepping on the
product.
• Doing so may cause a fault.
Do not raise the volume too high.
• Listening at ear-splitting volume for a long time may affect your hearing.
When using the product while walking, turn down the volume until surrounding
sounds can be heard clearly.
• Otherwise, it may cause a traf fic accident.
Indicates “Mandatory Action” or “Do as
indicated” with pic tures and text.
Notes on usage
About handling
• If you feel unwell while using the product, stop using it immediately.
• Do not place the product either in wet, humid, dusty smoky, steamy places, near a heater,
or in direct sunlight.
• Do not leave the product where it gets extremely hot such as in a car.
• Do not spr ay insecticide or any vo latile material. Also d o not keep the produc t touched with
rubber or plastics for a long time. The product may become discolored or its painting may
come off.
About static electricity precautions
When weari ng the earphone , you may feel the soun d and stimulus caus ed by static ele ctricity.
In dry-weather seasons or places where static electricity likely occurs, you can reduce it by
avoiding wearing clothes of chemical fiber, or using an antistatic ring.
About maintenance
• Wipe with a dry, soft cloth.
• If the ear piece gets dirty, take it off from the earphone and wash it with diluted neutral
detergent by hand.
• Never use alcohol, paint thinner or benzine to clean this product. Doing so may cause the
product's surface deteriorate.
Rechargeable battery (Lithium polymer ion)
To reduce the risk of f ire, electric shock or produc t damage,
• Do not attempt to replace the battery by yourself, it is built-in and is not
changeable.
• Do not heat, disassemble, or short-circuit the battery. Doing so may cause the
batter y and power supply to generate heat, rupture, or ignite.
• Charge the battery only in an ambient temperature between 5 and 35 degrees
Celsius. Otherwise, the electrolyte solution might leak, battery performance
might deteriorate and the battery life might be shortened.
• Do not continue charging the battery if it does not reach full charge within the
specified charging time. Overcharging may cause the battery to become hot,
rupture, or ignite.
• Do not expose the battery to excessive heat such as under the sun or near the fire
or the like.
Overheat, leakage, or rupture may occur, resulting in burns or injury.
If you touch the battery fluid, rinse it of f with water and consult with the doctor. If the
batter y fluid spills over the device, wipe it off without touching the fluid.
If you leave th e unit unused for a lon g period of time, th e built-in recharg eable batter y
will be in an over discharge state due to self discharge, and the charging capacity may
deterio rate or the batter y may be no longer re chargeable. Even i f you are not using the
unit, charge the bat tery once or twice a year for 1.5 hours each time.

plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two

your safet y. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for
replacement of the obsolete outlet.
10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs,
convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
12. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the
manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution
when movin g the cart/appar atus combination to avoid inj ury from tip- over.
13. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long
periods of time.
14. Refer a ll servicing to qu alified ser vice personn el. Servici ng is required whe n the apparatus
has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has
been spil led or objects have f allen into the apparat us, the apparatus has b een exposed to
rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

About Using Bluetooth®
This unit is designed for use with Bluetooth® wireless devices compatible with the HFP, HSP,
SPP, A2DP and AVRCP streaming au dio profiles. R efer to your Bluetoo th® device's user manual
or technical support to determine if your Bluetooth® device supports these profiles.
Frequency band used
This unit uses the 2.4 GHz frequency band. However other wireless devices may use 2.4 GHz
frequency band as well and may cause interference with each other. To avoid interference,
please refrain from the use of the unit at the same time with other wireless devices.
Certification of this device
This unit conforms to frequency restrictions and has received certification based on
frequency laws, so a wireless permit is not necessar y.
However, the following action is punishable by law in some countries:
• Taking apart/modifying the unit.
Usage restrictions
• Wireless transmission and/or use with all Bluetooth® equipped devices is not guaranteed.
• A device fea turing the Blue tooth® functio n is required to conf orm to the Blueto oth® standard
specified by Bluetooth SIG, and be authenticated. Even if the connected device conforms
to the above mentioned Bluetooth® standard, some devices may not be conne cted or work
correctly, depending on the features or specifications of the device.
Range of use
Use this device within an unobstructed 10 m range. The range of use or perimeter may be
shortened depending on any obstructions, devices causing interference, other people in the
room, or the construction of the building. Please note that the range mentioned above is
not guaranteed.
The Bluetooth® word mark and logos are owned by the Bluetooth SIG, Inc. and are used
under license.
Note
• This unit may receive radio interference caused by mobile telephones during use. If
such interference occurs, please increase separation between this unit and the mobile
telephone.

Getting Started
The earphones and the charging case have built-in lithium-ion polymer batteries. Charge
them fully beforehand.
Charging the Earphones
Place each earphone in the charging case in the right position and

close the case.
The charging status indicator for the earphone is turned ON.
Note
• When charging the earphones using the charging case, the charging status indicator for
the earphones and charging case are turned ON and OFF when fully charged.
• The charg ing status indicat or for the case (4 LEDs) shows th e current batter y capacity leve l
(such as 25, 50, 75 or 100 %).
Charging the Charging Case
Insert the supplied USB cable into the Micro USB charging socket on

the charging case.
Connect the USB cable to a USB port of your computer or a mobile

USB charger.
The charging status indicator for the case is turned ON during the charging.
Note
• The charg ing status indicat or for the case (4 LEDs) shows th e current batter y capacity leve l
(such as 25, 50, 75 or 100 %).
• The charging status indicator for the case (4 LEDs) is turned off when fully charged.
Wearing the Earphone
Check the left and right, wear the ear piece in your ears.
• The one marked with “R” is for the right ear, and the one
marked with “L” is for the left ear.
• After use, take them of f from your ears slowly.
Caution
• Pressing the earphones strongly or taking them off from your ears roughly may hurt your
eardrum. Put on or take of f the earphones slowly.

Replacing Ear Pieces
• If the ear pieces are not fit in your ears, bass tone may not be heard clearly. To enjoy better
sounds, replace the ear piece sizes or adjust the position and make them fit in your ears.
• At the time of purchase, M size pieces are mounted. If they do not fit your ears, choose the
best size from the provided ear pieces and replace them.
• The sizes of the ear pieces are S, M (mounted at the time of factor y shipment), and L.
How to take off the ear pieces
Press the earphone with a hand and take off the ear piece with the other hand by twisting it
together with its shaft.
Note
• If the ear piece is difficult to take off, wrapping it with a dry soft cloth makes it easier.
How to mount ear pieces
Push the ear piece into the protrusion of the earphone and make sure it does not come off
easily.
Caution
• Mount ear pieces firmly into the product. Ear pieces might come of f and be left in your
ears. If the ear pieces are left in your ears, contact a doctor.
Pairing for the second time or later
The earph ones are turned on automatically when you take them out fro m the charging case.
The earphones start pairing automatically with the last-paired device.
Disconnecting the Bluetooth® device currently connected
and connecting another Bluetooth® device
Pressing the multi-function button on the left earphone three times disconnects the
currently connected Bluetooth® device. The earphones are in the pairing waiting mode at the
time. A “Pairing” message is heard. Connect the earphones with another Bluetooth® device.
To connect with another device, follow Step 2 of the “Pairing” procedure.
Answering a call:
To answer an incoming call, press the multi-function button.

You can use the earphone as a speakerphone.
Note
• To reject a call, press and hold the multi-function button for 2 seconds.
To end the call, press the multi-function button.

Power ON and OFF
Auto Power ON/OFF
The earph ones are turned on automatically when you take them out fro m the charging case.
A “Power On” message is heard, and the blue indicators flash. In addition, attaching the
earphones to the charging case turns off the earphones automatically, and their charging
starts.
Note
• Auto Power ON/OFF does not work when the charging case is not charged. When the
charging ca se is not charged, tur n the power ON or OFF manual ly. See “Manual Power ON/
OFF” below for operating instructions.
Manual Power ON/OFF
Pressing and holding both of the multi-function but tons for 2 seconds turns them on or off.
Once the earphones are turned on, a “Power On” message is heard, and the blue indicators
flash.
When turning off the earphones, a “Power Off” message is heard.
Note
• When both of the earphones are paired through Bluetooth®, pressing either of the multifunction buttons for 2 seconds turns off earphones simultaneously.
Using the Earphones
Pairing
When you use the earphones for the f irst time, follow the procedure below to pair them.
The earphones are turned on automatically when you take them out

from the charging case.
(You can also tur n them on manually by pre ssing and holding b oth of the multi-fun ction
buttons for 2 seconds.)
Once both of t he earphones are tur ned on, they star t to establish a conn ection betwe en
the left and right earphones. When the connection is established, the following
messages (“Connected, ” “Lef t Channel,” and “Right Channel”) are heard in a sequence.
The earph ones start pairing with a Blue tooth® device. A “Pairing” message is heard, and
the red and blue indicators on the earphone f lash quickly.
Following the instructions in your device's user manual, activate

Bluetooth
Select “RZE-BT900E” to complete pairing.
• Input the pass code “0000” if required.
Once conne cted, a “Your device is conn ected” messag e is heard from the lef t earphone.
The blue indicators on both of the earphones flash.

• The earphones are turned of f if no device is paired for more than 5 minutes.

Dialing a phone number:
Once the earphone is paired with a Bluetooth® mobile phone, use the

keypad on your phone to dial a phone number.
To end the call, press the multi-function button.

Re dialing a phone number:

To end the call, press the multi-function button once.

Voice Control
You can use your smar tphone's voice control function with BT90 0E.
Caution
• Turn on your smartphone's voice control function.
Press the right channel's multi-function button 2 times.

Your smartphone's voice control starts and you can hear a signal tone from your
earphones that indicates the start of the voice control.
Speak out loud and describe what you want your smartphone to do or what you want
it to search for.
Caution
• The beep that indicates that the voice control function is on may differ depending on
your smartphone.
• The voice control operations may differ depending on your smartphone.
Charging the device
Connect the device to the USB Charge output socket of this charging

case. Charging of the connected device will start.
Note
• The charging status indicator for the case is turned on during the charging the device
and off when the connected device is fully charged.
• The charging status indicator for the case (4 LEDs) shows the current batter y capacity
level (such as 25, 50, 75 or 100 %).
• Charging m ay not be possible for d evices with a low curre nt capacity (bat tery capacit y
of about 100 mAh or less).
Playing music on a Bluetooth® device:
Once your device and the earphone(s) are connected, you can listen to the music through
Bluetooth®.
Play the music and operate other functions on your device.
