Questo apparecchio è stato ideato per la conservazione di alimenti congelati, per il congelamento di alimenti freschi e la fabbricazione di cubetti di ghiaccio. Ogni altro utilizzo sarebbe scorretto.
L’installazione deve essere effettuata secondo le istruzioni di
questo manuale; una cattiva installazione potrebbe deteriorare
l’apparecchio.
Per i problemi eventuali di funzionamento dell’apparecchio, rivolgetevi sempre ed esclusivamente ai centri autorizzati di Servizio
Assistenza Clienti oppure a personale qualificato.
Per ogni operazione di manutenzione, staccate prima di tutto la
spina dell’apparecchio evitando di tirare il cavo di alimentazione.
Se questo congelatore ne sostituisce un altro, che abbia un dispositivo di chiusura con nottolino, a molla, a serratura o altro, non
dimenticate di distruggere il dispositivo di chiusura o, meglio
ancora, di smontare la porta del vostro vecchio apparecchio per
evitare che qualcuno possa essere bloccato all’interno (dei bambini che giocano, degli animali, ecc).
Dopo aver disimballato l’apparecchio, assicuratevi che esso non
sia stato danneggiato. In questa eventualità, i deterioramenti
dovranno essere segnalati al rivenditore entro le 24h che seguono
la consegna. I materiali impiegati per l’imballaggio sono interamente riciclabili (scatolone, plastica a bolle di PE, EPS…). Tenere
questi materiali al di fuori della portata dei bambini.
Il circuito di refrigerazione dell’apparecchio racchiude dell’isobutano refrigerante, un gas naturale poco inquinante tuttavia
infiammabile. Durante il trasporto e l’installazione dell’apparecchio,
assicuratevi che nessuno dei componenti del circuito di refrigerazione non sia danneggiato. In caso di danno, lasciarlo lontano da
fiamme e da fonti di infiammazione ed aerare bene la stanza dove
esso si trova.
Per un funzionamento ottimale dell’apparecchio, installatelo lontano
da fonti di calore e assicuratevi che l’aria possa ben circolare
attorno (vedere Installazione dell’apparecchio).
Questo apparecchio non è concepito per essere utilizzato da persone (bambini compresi) le cui capacità fisiche, sensoriali o mentali
sono ridotte, o da persone non sufficientemente dotate d’esperienza o di conoscenze, tranne nel caso in cui esse abbiano potuto
beneficiare, grazie all’intermediazione di un soggetto responsabile
della loro sicurezza, di una sorveglianza o di un’istruzione preliminare inerente all’utilizzo dell’apparecchio stesso.
E’ consigliabile sorvegliare i bambini per assicurarsi che non giochino con l’apparecchio.

Installate l’apparecchio in una stanza senza umidità e ben aerata,
lontano da ogni fonte di calore. Lasciate una distanza minima di 10
cm tra la parte posteriore del congelatore ed il muro. Allo stesso
modo, lasciate 10 cm da ogni lato dell’apparecchio.
La classe climatica del vostro congelatore è indicata sulla targhetta
di identificazione. Essa determina il grado delle temperature
ambienti per il quale è creata l’unità frigorifera, garantendo il corretto funzionamento dell’apparecchio.

Caratteristiche della presa : 220-240V con presa da terra.
Evitate di utilizzare degli adattatori o delle prolunghe.
Evitate che il cavo sia in contatto con il compressore.
Evitate che il cavo sia attaccato sotto l’apparecchio.
L’impianto elettrico dell’apparecchio è dotato di una messa a terra.
Per la vostra sicurezza, collegate l’apparecchio ad una presa di corrente dotata di una messa a terra efficace (in conformità con le
norme in vigore sulla sicurezza dell’impianto elettrico).
Il costruttore declina ogni responsabilità per i danni che fossero
stati causati dalla mancanza della messa a terra.
PPRRIIMMAA DDII CCOOLLLLEEGGAARREE
• Pulite l’interno del congelatore con acqua tiepida con l’aggiunta
di bicarbonato. Risciacquate e asciugate accuratamente.
• Attendete 2 ore prima della messa in funzione per assicurare la
stabilizzazione dei lubrificanti del motocompressore.
PPRROOTTEEZZIIOONNEE DDEELLLL’’AAMMBBIIEENNTTEE
Questo apparecchio non contiene, nel suo circuito refrigerante e
nelle sue materie isolanti, gas refrigeranti nocivi allo strato di ozono.
Esso non deve essere eliminato con i rifiuti urbani ed i rottami per
evitare di danneggiare il circuito refrigerante, più in particolare nella
parte posteriore dell’apparecchio. Contattate il vostro comune per
informarvi sulla raccolta di questo tipo di apparecchi.
RRIICCIICCLLAAGGGGIIOO
I materiali di imballaggio di questo apparecchio sono riciclabili.
Partecipate al loro riciclaggio e contribuite così alla protezione
dell’ambiente depositandoli nei contenitori comunali previsti per
questo scopo.
Il vostro apparecchio contiene anche numerosi materiali riciclabili.
Esso è quindi marchiato con questo logo per indicarvi che gli apparecchi usati non devono essere mescolati con altri rifiuti. Il riciclaggio degli apparecchi che organizza il vostro fabbricante verrà così
effettuato nelle condizioni migliori, in conformità con la direttiva
europea 2002/96/CE sui rifiuti di apparecchi elettrici ed elettronici.

• Collegate la presa di corrente: in base alla dotazione del vostro
apparecchio le spie verde (sotto tensione) e rossa (allarme) si
accendono.
• Regolate il termostato in posizione mediana e lasciate funzionare
l’apparecchio per circa 4 ore; la spia di allarme deve spegnersi.
Dopo la messa in funzione, in caso di risalita anomala della temperatura all’interno del vostro congelatore durante la conservazione,
la spia dell’allarme si accenderà.
CCOONNSSEERRVVAAZZIIOONNEE
Quando il termostato del vostro apparecchio non è nella posizione
massima o quando il tasto “Super Congelazione” (secondo il
modelo) non viene attivato, il vostro apparecchio funziona come
conservatore. Dovete introdurre in quest’ultimo solo derrate già
congelate ed imballate.
Le durate di conservazione sono essenzialmente in funzione del
tipo di alimenti.
CCOONNGGEELLAAMMEENNTTOO
Il potere di congelamento viene definito dalla quantità massima di
prodotti che l’apparecchio può raffreddare in 24h, dalla temperatura ambiente fino a –18°C. Questa quantità è indicata sulla targhetta di identificazione posta nella parte posteriore dell’apparecchio. Almeno 24h prima di introdurre delle derrate da congelare,
attivateil tasto “SuperCongelazione” (arancio) del vostro apparecchio oppure collocate il termostato alla massima posizione (nel
caso in cui il vostro congelatore non possieda il tasto Super
Congelazione). Introducete poi le vostre derrate fresche e mante-
nete questo regime per 24h circa.
Potete quindi procedere o ad un nuovo congelamento, oppure
rimettere il vostro apparecchio in regime di conservazione.
Collocate di preferenza i vostri alimenti da congelare in contatto con
il fondo e le pareti, ciò allo scopo di assicurare un congelamento più
rapido dei prodotti. Evitate di collocare dei prodotti freschi a
contatto di quelli già congelati.
AAtttteennzziioonnee::
al momento dell’introduzione dei prodotti, la spia di
allarme può accendersi per alcuni istanti, senza che ciò presenti
inconvenienti per l’apparecchio o i prodotti.

Congelate solo alimenti freschi, puliti e chiusi in confezioni idonee.
Etichettate ogni pacchetto scrivendovi la data di congelamento, il
peso o il numero di pezzi, e il tipo del prodotto.
Non mettete bottiglie né confezioni di bibite gasate nel vostro
congelatore, esse potrebbero scoppiare.
Non ricongelate un prodotto scongelato. Esso de

• Non aprite troppo frequentemente il coperchio del congelatore
per evitare una risalita della temperatura all’interno dello scomparto.
• Non superate la data limite di conservazione raccomandata sulle
confezioni dei prodotti surgelati.
RRIISSPPAARRMMIIAATTEE LL’’EENNEERRGGIIAA
• Lasciate raffreddare gli alimenti prima di metterli nell’apparecchio.
• Quando il vostro apparecchio è in modalità “conservazione”, vi
consigliamo di regolare il termostato per mantenere una temperatura di –18°C all’interno dell’apparecchio.
• La posizione del termostato corrispondente alla cifra 3 vi
consente di ridurre il consumo elettrico quando le derrate congelate occupano solo la metà del vostro apparecchio.

Il sistema di sbrinamento del congelatore è manuale.
NON UTILIZZARE MAI UNO STRUMENTO METALLICO O UN
APPARECCHIO ELETTRICO PER PROCEDERE ALLO SBRINAMENTO.
Per permettere al congelatore di funzionare correttamente, è necessario procedere allo sbrinamento almeno 1 volta l’anno o quando lo
strato di ghiaccio è superiore a 10 mm.
• Scegliete un periodo nel quale il vostro congelatore non sia
troppo carico.
• Attivate il tasto “Super Congelamento” (o in base al vostro
modello, regolate il termostato alla massima posizione) 24h in anti-
cipo affinché le derrate congelate siano alla più bassa temperatura
possibile.
•Estraete le derrate, avvolgetele accuratamente e mettetele nel frigorifero o in un luogo molto fresco.
• Staccate la spina del congelatore.
• Staccate la brina e togliete le lastre di brina.
• Collocate un recipiente, oppure il vassoio fornito con l'apparecchio (secondo il modello) sotto al vostro congelatore in corrispondenza del tappo di scolo dell'acqua di sbrinamento. Togliere
quest'ultimo al fine di consentire l'evacuazione dell'acqua di sbrinamento.
• Pulite con una spugna la cella del vostro apparecchio e reinserite
il tappo di nello scolo dell'acqua di sbrinamento
• Lavate la cavità con acqua tiepida leggermente insaponata. Non
usate MAI polvere abrasiva, spugne abrasive o prodotti aggressivi
(alcol, diluenti…).
• Risciacquate con acqua pulita, asciugate accuratamente e lasciate il coperchio socchiuso alcuni minuti.
• Ricollegate l’apparecchio ed attivate la funzione “Super congelamento”(oppure portate il termostato al massimo). Rimettete le vos-
tre derrate nel congelatore.
• Lo sbrinamento deve essere effettuato il più rapidamente possibile per evitare un riscaldamento importante degli alimenti già
congelati, ciò potrebbe diminuire la loro durata di conservazione.
MMAANNUUTTEENNZZIIOONNEE
CCoonnssiiggllii::
In caso di interruzione della corrente : se l’interruzione è prevista,
attivate il “Super Congelamento” (oppure regolate il termostato al
massimo) 24h in anticipo per quanto possibile. Non aprite l’apparec-
chio per tutta la durata dell’interruzione.
Riser
va di freddo : 2 casi possono presentarsi :
• Il vostro congelatore è pieno per ¾ . In questo caso, la riserva di
freddo così costituita evita una risalita anomala della temperatura.
• Il vostro congelatore contiene pochissimi prodotti. In questo
caso, vi consigliamo di collocare nel vostro apparecchio dei recipienti in plastica riempiti con acqua, che dopo il congelamento
daranno la riserva di freddo indispensabile.
In caso di arresto prolungato del vostro apparecchio, scollegatelo.
Vi raccomandiamo di socchiudere il coperchio per aerare correttamente il vostro congelatore.

Esistono dei rumori che sono del tutto normali in un congelatore:
• Il gas refrigerante può produrre un gorgogliamento circolando nei circuiti.
• Il compressore può produrre dei ronzii che possono accentuarsi al momento dell’avviamento.
• Il “crac” prodotto dalle dilatazioni e dalle contrazioni dei materiali utilizzati.

PPRROOBBLLEEMMAA SSOOLLUUZZIIOONNEE
L’apparecchio non funziona.
Verificate che la spina sia ben collegata, che il fusibile non sia fuso
o che il disgiuntore non sia saltato.
Il congelatore non raffredda molto.
Verificate il termostato e controllate che la porta resti aperta il
meno tempo possibile. Allo stesso modo, verificate che la porta
chiuda bene.
Il motore funziona continuamente.
Assicuratevi che il congelatore sia ben ventilato lasciando degli
spazi come indicato nel capitolo “Installazione”. Verificate anche
che il vostro apparecchio non sia esposto ad alcuna fonte di
calore.

This appliance has been designed for conserving frozen food, freezing fresh food, and producing ice cubes. Any other use would be
inappropriate.
Your appliance must be installed in accordance with the instructions in this manual; faulty installation could result in damage to the
appliance
For any problems regarding the appliance’s operation, please only
contact the approved After-Sales Service centres or a suitably qualified professional.
Disconnect your appliance prior to performing any maintenance
operation. Unplug it; do not pull on the power cable.
If this freezer is replacing another one with a catch, spring, lock or
other closing system, remember to destroy the closing mechanism
or, better still, remove the door from your old appliance to avoid
anyone becoming trapped inside (children playing, animals, etc.)
Once you have unpacked the appliance, ensure that it is not damaged. If it is, any damage must be notified to the retailer within 24
hours of delivery. The materials used for the packaging are 100%
recyclable (cardboard, PE bubblewrap, EPS, etc.). Keep these materials out of children’s reach.
Your appliance’s refrigeration circuit is filled with isobutane
refrigerant (R600a), a natural, non-polluting gas that is, however,
inflammable. Ensure that none of the components in your
appliance’s refrigeration circuit is damaged during transport or installation. If you detect any damage, keep your appliance away from
flames and any sources of ignition and ventilate the room in which
it is located.
For your appliance to operate optimally, install it away from any
heat sources and ensure that air can circulate well all around it
(see “Installing your appliance”).
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack
of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
Children shoud be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the appliance.

Install the appliance in a dry, well-ventilated room, away from any
heat source. Leave a minimum distance of 10cm between the back
of the freezer and the wall. Also leave a gap of 10cm on each side
of the appliance.
Your appliance’s climate class is shown on the identification plate.
It determines the ambient temperature range for which the refrigeration unit has been designed to ensure that the appliance will
operate correctly.

• Clean the inside of your appliance with warm water and bicarbonate of soda. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
• Wait 2 hours before switching on to ensure that the oil in the compressor has stabilized.

INSTALLATION
SSTTAARRTTIINNGG YYOOUURR AAPPPPLLIIAANNCCEE
• Plug the power cable into the socket. Depending on your
appliance control panel, the green (voltage) and red (alarm) indicator lights illuminate.
• Set the thermostat to the middle position and leave the appliance
to run for approximately 4 hours; the alarm light should go out.
After start-up, if the temperature inside your freezer should increase
abnormally while conserving your frozen foodstuffs, the alarm light
will illuminate.
CCOONNSSEERRVVIINNGG
When your appliance thermostat is not set to the maximum or when
the “Super Freeze” button (depending on your model) is not pressed, your appliance will operate in conservation mode. You must
only introduce already frozen, pre-packed food.
The conservation time essentially depends on the type of foodstuff.
FFRREEEEZZIINNGG
The refrigeration output is defined by the maximum amount of products that the appliance can freeze in 24 hours from ambient temperature down to -18°C. This amount is shown on the manufacturer’s plate at the rear of the appliance. At least 24 hours before introducing the foodstuffs to be frozen, press your appliance’s “Super
Freeze” button (orange) or set the thermostat to the maximum (if
your chest freezer does not have a “Super Freeze” button). Then
introduce your fresh foodstuffs and keep the appliance in this mode
for approximately 24 hours.
You can then either perform a new freezing operation or return your
appliance to conservation mode.
Preferably place the foodstuffs to be frozen in contact with the back
and the walls to ensure that they are frozen more quickly. Avoid placing fresh products in contact with products already frozen.

When you introduce products, the alarm light may come
on for a few moments without this being any inconvenience for the
appliance or the products.

Only freeze fresh food that has been cleaned and sealed in appropriate packages.
Label each packet writing on it the date frozen, the weight or the
number of items and the type of product.
Do not place bottles or cans of fizzy drinks in your freezer; they
may burst.
Do not refreeze a product that has defrosted; it must be consumed without delay.
• Do not open the freezer’s lid too often to avoid raising the temperature inside the compartment.
• Do not exceed the recommended expiry date for the frozen products, as indicated on the packaging.
SSAAVVIINNGG EENNEERRGGYY
• Let the food cool down before introducing it into the appliance.
• When your appliance is in “Conservation” mode, we recommend
that you set the thermostat to maintain a temperature of -18°C
inside the appliance.
• Setting the thermostat to position 3 enables you to reduce the
consumption of electricity when the foodstuffs only occupy half of
your appliance.

Your refrigerator has a manual defrosting system.
For your freezer to operate correctly, you must defrost it at least
once a year or when the layer of ice is more than 10mm thick.
NEVER USE ANY METAL ITEM OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE TO
DEFROST YOUR FREEZER.
• Select a period when your freezer is not heavily loaded.
• Press the “Super Freeze” button 24 hours in advance (or depending on your model, set the thermostat to the maximum) so that
your frozen foodstuffs are at the lowest possible temperature.
•Remove the foodstuffs, wrap them carefully and place them in a
refrigerator or a very cold place.
• Disconnect your freezer.
• Free the ice with a wooden or plastic scraper. Remove the sheets
of ice and sponge away the melt water as it forms.
• Wash out the inside of the freezer with slightly soapy warm water.
NEVER use scouring powder, abrasive sponges or aggressive products (alcohol, thinners, etc.).
• Rinse with clean water, dry carefully and leave the lid slightly open
for a few minutes.
• Re-connect your appliance and activate the “Super Freeze” function (or set the thermostat to the maximum). Return your foodstuffs
to the freezer.
• Defrosting must be done as quickly as possible to avoid already
frozen food warming up significantly, which could reduce their
conservation time.
MMAAIINNTTEENNAANNCCEE
AAddvviiccee::
In the event of a power failure: if the power failure is expected, activate “Super Freeze” mode (or set the thermostat to the maximum)
24 hours in advance as far as possible. Do not open the appliance
at any time during the power failure.
Cold r
eserves: there are two possible cases:
Your freezer is ¾ full. In this case, the cold reserve thereby created avoids any abnormal increase in temperature.
Your freezer contains very few products. In this case, we recommend that you place plastic containers filled with water in your
freezer so that, once frozen, these will provide the essential cold
reserves.
If your appliance will be unused for a long time, disconnect it.
We recommend that you leave the lid ajar in order to air your freezer correctly.

There are some noises that it is quite normal for a freezer to make:
• The refrigerant gas can produce a gurgling sound as it travels through the circuits.
• The compressor may produce a buzzing noise, which can be more noticeable during start-up.
• The “cracking” noise produced by expansion and contraction of the materials used.
If you have already performed the indicated checks and your problem still persists, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MAKE ANY REPAIRS YOURSELF. Contact your nearest Technical Assistance Department.

PPRROOBBLLEEMM SSOOLLUUTTIIOONN
The appliance does not work.
Check that the plug is correctly connected, that the fuse hasn’t
blown or that the circuit-breaker has not jumped.
The freezer does not freeze well.
Check the thermostat and ensure that the door remains open for
the shortest time possible. Also check that the door closes correctly.
The motor runs continuously.
Ensure that the freezer is correctly ventilated, leaving the gaps
indicated in the “Installation” section. Also check that your
appliance is not exposed to any heat source.
