Precautions

• Do not open or modi fy the splitter. Changing the unit may damage it or cause it to be dangerous.

• Do not put objec ts inside the unit. Make sure that no metal objec ts or ammable substances get

inside the split ter. It could cause a re, a short-circuit and other damage.

• Be careful when handling the unit. To prevent damage, do not drop the splitter or submit i t to a strong

shock or vibration.

• Install the split ter away from electric an d magnetic elds.

• Protect the splitter from humidity and dust.

• Protect the splitter from high temperature. Be careful when installing the splitter close to a ceiling, in

a kitchen or a boiler ro om. The internal temperature may increas e to a high level.

Usage

1. Attach the video input and video output coaxial cables to the appropriate connectors (see the
illustration above). Anchor the input and output cables to the surface as needed.

2. Connect 12 Vdc 1 A regulated power adapter to the 12 Vdc input connector, then plug the power
adapter into a standard 120 Vac elec trical outlet. Verify t hat the power input LED (POWER) is lit red.

3. Apply a video signal to the Video input co ax cable. Verify that the Video in LED (PRESENCE) is lit.
