T5 5MP HD-TVI PIR Turret Camera Quick Installation Guide
The T5 HD-TVI turret cameras with passive IR (PIR) detec tion include a high sensitivity sensor with the ability to send HD video across s tandard coaxial cable. This camer a features:
5 MP Megapixel High Per formance CMOS 2592 (H) × 1944 (V)
IR with 65’ IR range
2.8 mm lens with an 102.94˚ eld of view
-22° ~ +131°F temperature range
PIR detection range 23 feet with 120° detec tion angle
Compatible with R 4, R8 and R16 Digital Video Recorders

What you need
To install the camera, you will need:
12 Vdc power source. See Specications for wat tage requirement.
Tools and additional fasteners (may be require d) for mounting the camera
Video and power extension cable
Compatible Digital Video Recorder (DVR) or HD-TVI video setup monitor (optional)
Installation
Before installation:
Make sure that the device is in good condition and all the assembly p arts are included.
Check the spe cication of the products for the ins tallation environment.
Make sure that the wall or the ceiling is strong enough to withstand 3 times the weight of the camera.
To avoid re or shock hazard, use only UL listed power supplies. Verif y that the power supply will
provide the rated voltage and wat tage for the camera. See the Specications sec tion.

During installation:
Camera Lens: Handle the camera carefully to prevent scratching or soiling the lens. If the lens or IR
array shield becomes soiled, clean it only with approved product s. See the

Mount the camera
These cameras can be mounted on a wall or ceiling that has sucient strengt h to support it. The video / power drop cable f rom the camera can be routed either through mounting surface or through a cable guide on the edge of the mounting base.
1. Unscrew the be zel from the mounting base, and then lift it o of t he camera.

2. Separate the enclosure and the camera module f rom the mounting base.

3. Using the mounting template or the mounting base, mark the holes for the camera mounting screws.
4. Drill holes for the screws that anchor the base to the mounting surface. T he mounting hardware provided is appro priate for most surfaces. However, depending on the surface material and streng th, more appropriate fasteners may be required.
5. Drill a 3/4” hole through the mounting sur face for the drop cable, if nece ssary.
6. If using wall inserts for the mounting sc rews, install the wall insert s at this time.
7. Attach the mounting base the surface using the appropriate f asteners. If the camera dro p cable will route through a cable guide, lay the cable in the guide before tightening the mounting screws.

8. If the drop cable will route through a hole in the mounting surface, rou te the cable through the hole, and then reassemble the camera on the mounting base. Thread the bezel onto the mounting base only enough to hold the assembly toget her. Do not tighten the bezel.
9. Route ex tension cables from the power source and DVR to the mounting location.
10. Connect the network video coax and power e xtension cables to the camera drop cables.

WARNING
due to moist ure or another con taminant is consi dered an instal lation error, which voids the wa rranty. If installi ng this camera in a lo cation such as an over hang, shop, garage, k itchen, etc. where h igh humidit y or dust is present, se al these connec tions adequately.
12. Apply power to the camera through the 12 Vdc power cable.
Camera adjustments
1. While observing video from the camera, move the camera module to adjust direc tion, tilt and horizontal alignment to center the eld of view on your surveillance target. Loosen the bezel if needed to so t he camera module can be adjusted easily.
2. While holding the camera module and enclosure in place, tighten t he bezel to lock the camera in position.

For conguration and customization, refer to the Us er Manual for your camera or recorder.
Cleaning
Clean the camera dome with an approved glass cleaning solution and a lint free cloth.
Dust can be removed from the unit by wiping it with a s oft damp cloth. To remove stains, gently rub
the surface with a sof t cloth moistened with a mild detergent solution, then rinse and dr y it with a soft cloth. Do not use benzene, thinner or other chemical p roducts on the camera as sembly; these
may dissolve the paint and promote damage of the surfaces.
Remove all foreign par ticles, such as plastic or rubber materials, at tached to the camera housing.
These may cause damage to the surface over time.
