Quick Start Guide
The Observator ANALITE NEP5000 Turbidity Sensor is compatible with the Nexsens
X2 data logger using SDI-12 output, and is designed for environmental monitoring
and process applications.
Calibrating the NEP5000
For configuration and calibration, the Observator ANALITE NEP5000 Configuration
Kit accessory must be used. This kit comes with a dedicated Subconn connection
cable.
The Subconn cable to calibration module connection is detailed in the table below.

Quick Start Guide
Connect to the NEP5000 Turbidity Sensor and use the OEM Calibration software to
enable the “Wipe on PowerUp” option.
This ensures that the optics on the sensor are cleared before each new reading is
requested from the X2, which allows for the most accurate measurements.
Wiring
For compatibility, sensors must be connected to a female 6-pin wet mateable cable
(MCIL-6-FS).
The flying lead for the MCIL-6-FS must be connected to a UW-FWP with the pin
configuration in the table below.
*If the MCIL wire color is not listed, it is unused in the connection.
