Removing the Existing NGC-UIT-OUT
WARNING: Power to the Electrical panel that is
housing the NGC-UIT-OUT must be turned OFF before proceeding.
• Disconnect the cables from the NGC-UIT-OUT by loosening the retaining screws that secure the Phoenix connectors to the mating terminals on the NGC-UIT-OUT. This includes the serial communications (RS-485), Relay outputs and AC Input.

Removing the Existing NGC-UIT-OUT
• Loosen and remove all 10 nuts and remove the NGC-UIT-OUT from the panel door.

3
Removing the Existing NGC-UIT-OUT
• Disconnect the wires from the Phoenix connectors. Undo all the cable ties for the wiring bundle to the NGC-UIT-OUT. These wires will be used for the NGC-UIT2-HAZ once it is installed.

Enlarging the NGC-UIT Opening
Use the foldout template as a guide for enlarging the cutout.
Template is actual size (see attached at back of booklet)
Instructions
• Line up the upper edge of the template with the existing cutout. Use masking tape to secure the template to the panel door. The dashed lines indicate the areas that must be removed. To minimize the amount of cutting, it may be desired to align the area to be removed with the upper left corner of the existing cutout (as pictured)
• Using a center punch, mark the 12 mounting holes. M1 – M12
• Remove the template after making the center punch marks.
• Using a straight edge and marking pen draw a line starting from the upper left hand corner of the existing cutout to the center of H1 to H2 and H3.
• Use a #7 (.201) drill bit, drill all 12 mounting holes. M1 – M12
• Using the Zipcut disc or equivalent, start the cut from the bottom left corner of the existing cutout and follow the marked line to the center of H1. Continue the cut to H2 and H3. End the cut at the upper right hand corner of the existing cutout.
• Deburr all cut edges before installing the new NGC-UIT2-HAZ.
• Do not install NGC-UIT2-HAZ until the holes for the UIT2-HAZ Window Kit have been drilled.

Drilling the Hole Pattern for the UIT2-HAZ Window Kit
5
• Refer to the drawing shown below for the hole pattern for the UIT2-HAZ Window Kit.
• Start by referencing the first hole of the window kit as shown in the drawing below. (X=1.225 in. and Y=1.225 in.). Use the Reference point shown in the drawing below as your starting point.
• Use masking tape to outline the mounting holes for the window kit.
• Measure each hole location from the first hole in the upper left hand corner and continue around the perimeter until all twelve holes are marked.
• Using a center punch mark all 12 holes.
• Drill all 12 holes using a #7 (.201) drill bit.
• Remove the masking tape.

Installing the NGC-UIT2-HAZ
• Insert the NGC-UIT2-HAZ into the panel door opening. Verify that the gasket that came with the NGC-UIT2-HAZ is properly installed. Secure the NGC-UIT2-HAZ using the twelve 10-32 nuts and hardware.
• After the display is properly positioned, tighten the nuts to
0.9 newton-meters (8 inch-pounds) of torque using a 3/8 inch wrench. Tighten Kep nuts in the sequence shown for proper sealing.
