FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION

1. Position box on joists with (4) 1/4” diameter holes in back of
box running parallel with and centered on the bottom edge of
joist.

2. Mark the (4) holes and drill 3/32” diameter pilot holes for the
mounting screws.

3. Mount ceiling box securely to joist using (4) #12 x 1” long sheet
metal screws minimum.

WARNING

THE FAN MOUNTING SCREWS AND LOCK WASHERS
FURNISHED WITH THE BOX MUST BE USED FOR
MOUNTING THE FAN OR FIXTURE TO THE BOX.

FOR OLD WORK CONSTRUCTION

1. Cut a 4-1/16” diameter hole in the ceiling, centered on a joist
(use the box face as a template).

2. Follow steps 1, 2 and 3 for new construction.

PARA CONSTRUCCIÓN NUEVA

1. Posicione la caja en la vigueta haciendo que los (4) agujeros
de 6 mm del respaldo de la caja corran paralelos con y estén
centrados con el borde inferior de la vigueta.

2. Marque los (4) agujeros y taladre agujeros pilotos de 2 mm
para montar los tornillos.

3. Instalela cajade techormemente ala viguetaempleando

por lo menos (4) tornillos chapa metálica de #12 X 25 mm de
largo.

ADVERTENCIA

LOS TORNILLOS PARA MONTAR EL VENTILADOR Y
ARANDELAS DE SEGURIDAD QUE VIENEN CON EL
VENTILADOR DEBEN USARSE EN EL MONTAJE DEL
VENTILADOR O APARATO A LA CAJA.

PARA TRABAJAR EN CONSTRUC­CIÓN VIEJA

1. Corte un agujero de 103 mm de diámetro en el techo, centrán­dolo en la vigueta (emplee el frente de la caja como patrón).

2. Luego siga los pasos 1, 2 y 3 dados para construcción
nueva.
