PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION
Machine will not operate. Missing or blown fuses.
Battery not connected. Low battery charge.
Replace fuse. Connect Battery. Charge.
Vacuum will not operate. Vacuum not turned on. Turn on.
Poor water pick-up. Waste-water tank full.
Blocked vacuum hose. Loose hose.
Basket lter blocked. Separator lter blocked.
Poor separator seal. Damaged separator seal. Damaged vacuum hose.
Damaged oor-tool blades.
Low battery charge.
Empty. Clean. Tighten. Clean. Clean.
Clean and ret.
Renew. Renew. Renew. Recharge.
No brush / Scrub function. No brushes tted.
Brush overloaded.
Check and t.
Reset.
Little or no water ow. Clean-water tank empty.
Clean-water tank lter blocked. Incorrect water ow setting.
Fill. Clean. Adjust tap as desired
Machine just ‘stops’ while
operating.
To much load on the brush system. Blown fuse in battery pack.
Reset, decrease the brush load. Replace 40 Amp fuse.
The 1840 has been designed to scrub and dry a variety of hard oors. This machine has not been designed to pick up large objects, make sure you pre-sweep the oor before use. For optimum performance make sure you keep the lters, hoses and oor tool blades clean and free from debris.
Disconnect from the power supply or remove the battery BEFORE commencing cleaning or maintenance.
After every time the machine is used.
The machine should be left in a clean and tidy state, drain
all uids, clean all lters, pipes and place the
battery on charge.
It is recommended you strip and
thoroughly clean the machine and its
components regularly.
At least weekly to avoid operating
troubles and machine breakdowns.

Clean Water Tap...
Fitting the brush...
Located on the left of the machine is the clean
water tap, make sure the tap has been turned
on before use.

The machine uses a 400mm brush or a
360mm pad drive. Fit the brush pad onto the Nulock drive and twist to lock in place.
Filling tank...
Remove the ller cap and ll using a hose,
bucket or suitable container. Fill the clean water tank to a maximum of 18 litres including chemical if required.
Fill gauge...
Fitted to the clean water inlet
is a red plastic ll gauge, this
shows the tank full.
Moving when full...
When the clean water tank is full the machine can be tilted to a maximum of 450 without
spillage.
Take care to make sure that contaminants (leaves, hair, dirt, etc.) are not allowed to enter the clean water tank.
Ideally set the tap to 45% this enables the
cleaning solution to last the same time as a fully charged battery..

Raising and lowering the Floor Tool...
To raise and lower the oor tool make sure the oor tool is central to the machine.
Lift the handle near the base of
the handle to raise the oor tool and lock in position.

Hi - Lo Setting
The 1840 machine provides a choice of both high and low speeds.
To activate the control panel: press the Mode select button or press a trigger on the handle.
The battery pack comes tted with a 40 amp fuse, replace the fuse using Numatic approved part (208526) if required.

Battery Pack Fuse...
Press the mode select button again to get vacuum only.
The On / Off Switch and triggers are not required in this mode. (g 3)
Press the mode select button to switch this mode off and return to default mode.
The panel if unused will automatically turn off after 60 seconds.

Brush Overload...
The brush motor will cut out and the Hi / Lo light will ash if the brush motor has been overloaded (g 4). Releasing the handle triggers will allow the machine to reset.
Mode Button
To start: hold down either trigger and press the yellow On / Off switch once. Whilst the brush motor is running press the water ow On / Off button for uid control (g 1), the clean water On / Off tap must be open.
When the Triggers are released the brush motor and the cleaning solution pump will switch off, the vacuum motor will continue for 10 seconds. Press the mode select button to operate the brush only (g 2).
The start sequence is required in this mode.
The water ow On / Off button will operate in this mode.
If the brush motor keeps overloading consider using a different type of brush.
Heavy brush load decreases the available battery run time.
