INSTALLATION
The VOPEX is a Plug-and-Play device with no special configuration settings and easy installation steps:
1. Before connecting the VOPEX to the video source,
make sure the video source and the display(s) are turned
OFF.
2. Connect a display to a HDMI female port labeled “HDMI
Out x” on the rear panel of the VOPEX using a male-tomale
HDMI cable.
Note: Some displays need to have their video input type
set manually. In this case, select “Digital HDMI” as the
input type.
3. Connect the HDMI source to the HDMI port
labeled “HDMI In" on the rear panel of the
VOPEX using male-to-male HDMI cables.
4. Plug the 5VDC AC adapter into the power jack on
the rear panel (2,4 and 8 port models only- 16 port
uses a line cord).
5. Power up the VOPEX first.
6. Power up the display device(s).
7. Power up the video source.

CASCADING
For applications that require more connections than are provided for by the VOPEX-HDS-x, one option is to connect multiple
VOPEXs in a cascaded configuration (example below). Using additional HD-xx-MM cables, connect the HDMI Out ports of a
master VOPEX unit (master is connected to the video source) to the HDMI In ports of additional VOPEX-HDS-x (shown as “Slave
Unit #1” and “Slave Unit #2” below). Connect HDTV enabled displays to the cascaded VOPEXs for a larger configuration.
Tip: Any size NTI VOPEX-HDS-x can also be used interchangeably in the cascaded configuration.
Note: Additional tiers of slave units can be added, however additional levels and long cables may cause the image on the
lower tiers to become unstable.

No video at all
Check cable connections on the video source, monitor and the VOPEX. After reconnecting, if a CPU is the video
source, the CPU may need to be re-booted in order to sense the monitor connection.
Check cable length. Cables may be too long.
No video on one port
Check cable connections on that port. Hot plug and/or power cycle the video source while that port is connected
Some artifacts in the picture
Check for any loose connection between cable and connectors. If loose, it may be necessary to reboot the CPU
to achieve a clear image.
