SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS, READ AND SAVE ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
•
CAUTION- Risk of Fire—Never leave unit unattended while in use.
While using appliance, stay alert and always concentrate on the melting process. SHOULD the hot wax catch fire
due to malfunction of and/or faulty operation of machine, immediately turn off the candle making machine by
turning thermostat knob all the way to the left (OFF) position, unplug appliance, close candle making machine lid
if possible, and smother fire with baking soda. DO NOTATTEMPT TO USE WATER to extinguish flames,
because water will cause this type of fire to spread.
• Keep all candle crafting supplies and candle making machine out of the reach of children and pets. Follow all
instructions carefully. Keep all instruction sheets for future.
• Tie back long hair to keep hair from falling forward and into hot liquid wax.
• Do not use appliance for other than intended use. Do not attempt to melt any materials other than wax specified
for candle making purposes or recycled candles with wicks removed. Do NOT use to melt chocolate or other
foodstuffs, crayons, soap or depilatory wax,
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against electric shock, do not immerse machine, cord, or plug in water or other liquid.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Do not allow children to operate appliance and close supervision is necessary when operating appliance
near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow appliance to cool before cleaning.
• Be sure appliance legs are assembled and fastened properly. See instructions regarding assembly of leg on page 1.
• Candle Maker Appliance is equipped with a locking lid. Be sure to keep lid in locked position—locking switch
should be all the way to the right-hand postion—when melting wax. (See figure 3 on page 4.)
• Candle Maker Appliance is equipped with a spring-loaded candle mold holder that should ALWAYS be used to
keep mold securely in place during entire wax melting and pouring process. For details of use, see Fig 1 in
Melting the Wax section on page 3 of instructions.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been
damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the manufacturer for examination, repair or adjustment.
• The use of any accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
• Do not use appliance outdoors.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• DO NOT attempt to move candle maker appliance when it contains any liquid or partially solidified wax.
• Appliance is for household use only.
GETTING STARTED!
Preparing your work surface:
• Select a work area with a heat resistant, level surface near a wall outlet.
A kitchen counter not too close to the sink is a good choice.
• Cover your work surface with cardboard or a few layers of old newspaper to protect it
from dripping wax. Excess wax is difficult to remove once it hardens.
• Keep candle making machine safely back from the edge of the work surface.
• Do not allow power cord to dangle over the edge of the work surface. Before plugging
power cord into outlet, make sure that the temperature control knob is turned all the
way to the left (OFF position).
Temperature control knob:
This control knob turns the candle making machine on and off.
• Afull turn to the left turns the machine off.
• Turning the knob to the right turns the machine on. The more you turn to the right, the higher the temperature will be.

PREPARING THE MOLD
MELTING THE WAX
• Make sure your mold is clean and dry. Never use a wet or damp mold. Dry mold thoroughly!
• Polycarbonate molds will scratch easily. Do not clean with abrasive cleansers, steel wool or anything other than a soft cloth.
1. Thread one end of candle wicking
through the small hole at the base
of the candle mold. Bring the
wicking through the large
opening at other end of mold.
3. Turn the mold over and pull the wicking taut and straight up through the
center of the mold. Check to see that the rubber stopper is still firmly in
place. Rest the wick holder across the top of the mold, finding the small
indentations along the rim of the mold designed to hold the wick holder.
Tie the wicking onto the wick holder to keep it in place. Ideally, the
wicking should be held as taut as possible in the center of the mold.
1. Pull the front part of the spring loading mechanism at the base of the machine
forward. Angle the top of your prepared mold under the valve at the bottom of the
hopper, and fit the mold securely between the brackets of the springloaded mold
holder. The brackets will automatically position the mold correctly under the
valve. See Fig 1.
2. Allow at least three inches of wicking to protrude
from small hole in mold. Firmly press the rubber
stopper into the small hole, keeping the 3" end of
wicking still protruding from mold. This rubber
stopper will prevent the liquid wax from escaping
the mold during the candle making process.

Read all safety instructions before melting wax. See page 2.
Make sure that the temperature control knob is turned OFF as you fill the machine.
The following materials (not included) may be helpful when melting wax:
• Kitchen timer
• Pot holder
• Wooden skewer or old wooden spoon
• Box of baking soda to keep near your work area as a precaution in case of fire.
(See safety instructions on page 2).

3. Close the lid of the hopper and slide the lid locking switch to the left to lock.
Turn the temperature control knob clockwise all the way to the right (highest
temperature). See Fig 3. Allow wax in the hopper to melt for 5 minutes. Use a
kitchen timer to time this process.
2. Make sure that the wax flow valve is turned to the CLOSED position. Open the
lid of the machine and pour wax granules or small chunks of used candles into
the hopper. See Fig 2.
(Note: If using chunks of used candles, remove any old wicking before placing
used candle bits into hopper.) Add wax only up to the fill line.
DO NOT OVERFILL!
