TWO SPEED PUMP TIMER
READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL TIME SWITCH. SEE WARNING ON FRONT PANEL –
Failure to comply with instructions could result in personal injury and/ or property damage.
INSTALLATION: UNIT IS TO BE INSTALLED BY A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN
1. Remove knockouts from back, bottom or side of enclosure as required. DO NOT USE TOP.
2. Mount enclosure to vertical surface only. Mount at eye level using screws or other suitable fastening device. a) You may not need to remove timer module from enclosure. To remove the timer module, remove screws on either side of timer face and lift module out.
b) Use top mounting tab rst to support the enclosure then use the mounted enclosure as a template for the bottom two mounting holes.
3. Bring supply and load wires in through knockouts.
4. Reinstall module if removed. Connect wires according to wiring diagrams on inside case label.
5. Always replace insulator cover for terminals.

1.0 KEY FUNCTIONS:
Unit should be programmed with AC power. Do not program under supercap backup power.
MODE: Press to go to the next mode. ENTER: Stores or saves current entry.
DAY/YEAR:
a. Press to set the year in the DATE mode. b. Selects the desired day of the week in the DST (Daylight Savings
Time) mode.
CH1/CH2/OVR1:
a. Press for high-speed pump ON or OFF in AUTO mode (manual
override).
b. Press to remove the HOLD mode without changing the load
status.
DEL/PREV/OVR2:
a. Press to delete the displayed entry. b. Decrement the last selected entry. c. Press for low-speed pump ON or OFF in the AUTO mode (manual
override). Unit will begin with a ve minute high-speed pump cycle followed by the low speed pump. If a pump is ON, pressing this turns it OFF.
HOUR/MONTH:
a. Press to set hour in CLK (clock) mode and the SCH (schedule)
mode.
b. Press to set month in the DATE mode and DST (Daylight Savings
Time) mode.
MINUTE/DATE:
a. Press to set minutes in CLK (clock) mode and SCH (schedule)
mode. b. Press to set date in the DATE mode. c. Press to select the week of the month in DST (Daylight Savings
Time).
ENTER: a. Press to store the displayed information into memory. Informa-
tion will not be stored until the ENTER key is pressed.
Note: During settings, each press of the key will advance one number. For rapid advance hold key in.
EVENT:
a. Press to select HIGH/LOW/OFF status of the event in SCH
(schedule) mode. b. Press to update the load status In the AUTO (automatic) mode.

NOTE: AFTER MAKING ANY CHANGES TO THE PROGRAM, PRESS MODE TO GO TO AUTO (AUTOMATIC) MODE AND THEN PRESS EVENT TO UPDATE THE LOAD STATUS.
AT POWER UP:
When powering up the unit for the rst time, 12:00 will ash on the
display. NOTE: Allow 1-2 minutes for the supercap to charge before any
display is shown. Press reset button after 2 minutes if screen is blank
image on page 1)
Press the MODE key
1.0 CLOCK MODE
Press HOUR and MIN to advance to the present hour and
minutes. Check AM/PM, and press ENTER.
2.0 DATE MODE
If you are setting for the rst time, display will show:
Press MONTH, DATE, and YEAR key to advance to the
desired month, date and year, then press ENTER.

3.0 DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME MODE
After setting or modifying the date, display will show:

For standard USA daylight savings (DSt), press MODE then go to step 4.0. If daylight saving time (DSt) is NOT required, press DEL display will show:
To modify standard USA daylight savings dates.

4.0 SCHEDULE SET MODE The display shows:

4.1 SETTING HOURS AND MINUTES
Press HOUR and MIN to set desired time. Press EVENT key to select pump event: H (high-speed pump), L (low-speed pump) or OFF (pump OFF).
In this example: On the right hand side of the display are the number “1” and the letter “H”. This stands for Event #1, and it has been programmed to turn ON pump at high-speed setting.
Press the ENTER key.
4.2 SET NEXT EVENT The display will show:

Follow the procedure 4.1 to set more schedule entries such as the time to switch to LOW speed setting.
Note: A complete schedule should have three entries. #1 is a
HIGH speed start time. #2 is the LOW speed start time. #3 is the time to turn OFF the motor. A maximum of 3 complete cycles are allowed each day.
When all settings are complete press MODE to go AUTO (automatic) screen. Timer is ready.
5.0 REVIEW, MODIFY AND DELETE Press MODE to advance to any of the following MODES:
1. CLOCK MODE: Press HOUR and MIN to modify existing settings. Press ENTER.
2. DATE MODE: Press MONTH, DATE and YEAR to modify existing set­tings. Press ENTER. Day is automatically adjusted.
3. DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME MODE: Press DEL to modify to ON or OFF. Press ENTER.

4. SCHEDULE MODE: Press HOUR, MIN and EVENT to modify time set­tings. Press DEL to delete. Press ENTER after each modication.
5. AUTO MODE: The time, day, seconds, the load status and AUTO are displayed.
6.0 MANUAL OVERRIDE OVR1 and OVR2 is effective in the AUTO mode
a) HIGH Speed override button OVR1 When load is off:
1. First button press of OVR1 sets control to HIGH speed and starts a 5 minute countdown. Flashing 1H on display indicates manual change to HIGH. Unit will stay HIGH until next scheduled change.
2. Second button press of OVR1 sets control to ashing HOLD OFF. Load is OFF and all program settings will be skipped until 12:00am when HOLD OFF is automatically cleared. Normal schedule will be followed after 12:00am.
3. Third button press of OVR1 clears the HOLD OFF and pump remains OFF until next schedule change.
When load is on HIGH speed:
1. First button press of OVR1 sets control to ashing HOLD OFF. Load is OFF and all program settings will be skipped until 12:00am when HOLD OFF is automatically cleared. Normal schedule will be followed after 12:00am.
2. Second button press of OVR1 returns control to the HIGH speed setting with a 5 minute countdown delay.
When load is on LOW speed:
1. First button press of OVR1 sets control to HIGH and starts a 5 minute countdown. Flashing 1H on display indicates manual change to HIGH. Unit will stay HIGH until next scheduled change.
2. Second button press of OVR1 sets control to ashing HOLD OFF. Load is OFF and all program settings will be skipped until 12:00am when HOLD OFF is automatically cleared. Normal schedule will be followed after 12:00am.
3. Third button press of OVR1 clears the HOLD OFF automatically sets control to LOW speed after a 5 minute delay with the unit at HIGH speed.
b) LOW Speed override button OVR2 When load is off:
1. First button press of OVR2 automatically sets control to LOW speed after a 5 minute delay with the unit at HIGH speed. Flashing 2H on display indicates manual change to LOW is being delayed. After 5 minute delay, ashing L indicates manual override was used to set LOW speed. Unit will stay in LOW until next schedule change.
2. Second button press of OVR2 sets control to OFF and pump remains OFF until next schedule change.

When load is on LOW speed:
1. First button press of OVR2 sets control to OFF. Unit will remains OFF until next schedule change.
2. Second button press of OVR2 automatically sets control to LOW speed after a 5 minute delay with the unit at HIGH speed. Unit will stay in LOW until next schedule change.
When load is on HIGH speed:
1. First button press of OVR2 sets control to LOW. Flashing 2L on display indicates manual change to LOW setting. Unit will stay in LOW until next schedule change.
2. Second button press of OVR2 automatically sets control to HIGH speed and starts a 5 minute countdown. Unit will stay HIGH until next scheduled change.
Note: When unit is in HIGH with countdown showing on display, change to LOW from OVR2 button press will be delayed until the end of the countdown. Flashing 2H on display indicates manual change to LOW is being delayed.
7.0 NOTES
1. The LEDs describe the state of the two-speed pump relays: If no LED is lit, pump OFF. If LED1 is lit, the high-speed setting is ON. If LED2 is lit, the low-speed setting is ON.
2. Unit will go to AUTO MODE automatically if no key is pressed for ve minutes.
3. HOLD MODE: If you press the OVR1 button to override the pumps OFF, the unit will switch to the HOLD MODE. All ON pump programs will be skipped for the remainder of the day, until 12:00 AM the next day. In the HOLD MODE, the display alternates between the time, and the word “HOLD”.
Pressing the OVR1 button again releases the unit from HOLD MODE, and enables the remaining programs for the day. It also allows the user to run two-speed override programs by pressing the OVR2 button.
4. Clear all memory. All memory can be cleared using the following : While in the RUN mode, press ENTER, display will show:

Use EVENT key to display:
ON
AUTO
Now press ENTER briey and everything in the timer memory will be erased, including real time and date. NOTE: Unit has permanent memory and will not be erased unless done through procedure above.
5. Upon powering up your DPC201, unit displays the line frequency the unit is operating, 50 will determine 50Hz or 60 for 60 Hz. NOTE:
